Built on public licensing records
Listings draw on SAMHSA's federal treatment locator and state licensing records, the same public sources regulators maintain. Facilities can also ask to be added, and their details sit alongside any public record we hold for them.
Credentials shown only where they're listed
Accreditation, state licensing and federal listing are labelled separately on each page. Joint Commission or CARF accreditation appears only where the awarding body lists the facility, and a license number appears only where the state record shows one.
Facilities can correct their own page
We invite facilities to look at their own listing and tell us what is out of date. Corrections come straight from the people who run the programs, which covers the details a public record never shows.
