Alternative to Meds Center Reviews and Ratings
Patients and loved ones with experience of Alternative to Meds Center are invited to leave a review here. Say what the program was like day to day, how staff treated you and how leaving treatment was planned.
This place really cares about helping people. I have been to a lot of different programs over the years. Alternative to Meds Center stands head and shoulders above the others. They offer so many different treatments and… modalities. I had sauna, cold plunges daily, massages, acupuncture, vitamins designed specially for me, organic food, therapy, and lots of compassionate care. It truly is a fully holistic program that helped me address my physical, mental, and spiritual health. Thank you so much for your help ATMC!
I enrolled in this program based on its representation as a detox facility. I did not feel the staff were adequately medically equipped as the night staff and many weekend staff had no medical background. In particular,… I was concerned about a lack of understanding of the risks associated with benzodiazepine withdrawal, including seizure risk, among many of the staff. I left early and received a partial refund, but not for the full unused portion. Given the nature and cost of program, I would encourage prospective patients to ask detailed questions about staffing, clinical capabilities, and the treatment environment before enrolling. After I left, I requested a transparent conversation about what occurred, and it was declined. Recently, the head of the program reached out asking me to change the content of this truthful review. I find it quite concerning that ATMC appears to be attempting to influence the content of its reviews.
I am writing this review for you! You know who you are! Your stuck, your hopeless, your lost, you have started to avoid mirrors (in a reflection aspect anyway ) Lol! Sorry! You don’t know how you got here and further… more you don’t know how you’re going to get out! Even if you did what are you going to feel like on the other side? That was me! And I was scared to death that there was no help for me. I had drank and done drugs since I was a teenager it was part of my identity. There was no way I was going to be able to function without it! But I was deteriorating in front of my own eyes! I was no longer present for anyone! I was being eaten alive by guilt and shame. I needed help in every aspect of my being! So I did what anyone would do …… I googled….RECOVERY FOR THE MIND, BODY, AND SOUL! And that’s how I found ATMC! And that’s what it was for me. They didn’t just separate me from substances like your run of the mill treatment center and stick you in classes all day! You literally have a team that works with you everyday and every step of the way! These people have taken recovery where it needs to be in order for someone to have a chance at life again! Not only do you rid your body of the terrible poisons we decided to partake in but of all toxins! And to find out what’s going on with your body your gut your hormones and you learn the things your body is deprived of and what you need day to day with natural alternatives for your brain, energy, mood and your over all health. It’s then that you actually have a fighting chance to work on you! The Trauma the neglect the abusive relationships whatever it is you were( self medicating) numbing in the first place. It’s a magical experience, second chance at life , amazing therapists, doctors , naturopaths , impeccable staff , high quality food exceptional chefs, located in Sedona Arizona in a healing vortex for the love of god! I am grateful to this place everyday in every way! My advice to anyone looking for recovery wherever your path leads you is you will only get out of it what you put in it! But do it! You’re worth it! And it can be done ! I love you!
I spent two months their the treatment was incredible I got my life back. The staff was great and the food was healthy . I would suggest this place for someone struggling with their mental health. I miss them all very… much.
I came to ATMC hoping for a holistic approach that would help me manage a severe migraine and reduce my reliance on medication. Instead, I found myself exposed to strong smells and loud noise at a time when I was… extremely sensitive to both. In my experience, these exposures significantly worsened my migraine. When I expressed concern about the impact these stimuli were having on me and asked whether they could be minimized, I was encouraged to push through them rather than avoid them. This approach did not work for me, and my condition continued to deteriorate. Ultimately, my migraine became so severe that I felt I had no choice but to leave early, and I ended up needing more medication rather than less. After I left, I found it extremely difficult to communicate with the facility regarding my concerns and the refund process. Calls and requests for follow-up were often met with delays, and I struggled to get clear answers. What was particularly frustrating was being told afterward that my negative experience was largely the result of not staying longer. From my perspective, I left because the treatment environment was worsening my condition and had become intolerable. Overall, I was disappointed with both the care I received and the way my concerns were handled after I departed.
Few places on the planet can be truly referred to as “heaven on earth” but ATMC is definitely one of the few. Whether you are struggling with prescription meds, recreational drugs or alcohol, and even if you just need a… reset in your life to change your unhealthy ways, ATMC in Sedona is hands down the best place to go. From the love and acceptance of the entire staff to the plethora of tools and modalities offered to help you live a healthy life in a not so healthy world, there is no place better on earth to submit your life and problems to. The added plus is the AMAZING food you can enjoy while feeding your body what it needs for continued health and wellness. I will be forever grateful to all of them for helping me reset from a very stressful and difficult season of my life. Thank you ATMC! You are all so loved and appreciated! Blessings to you all! ❤️
ATMC was the 3rd treatment center I tried, and they saved my life. In the end, the answer for me (and many others I met there) was a holistic combination of informed supplementation, rigorous detoxification protocols,… exercise, sauna, individual CBT work, group therapy and top-notch nutrition. The grounds were clean and beautiful, accommodations homey, and the food delicious. I loved the optional daily nature outings and many sight-seeing trips around Sedona. I would recommend ATMC to anyone in medication withdrawals or poor health. I was suffering and with benzo withdrawal and wanting to end my life. Now I am thriving. (My stay was 60 days.) I will never forget my time here, the passionate staff of skilled care providers, or the dear friends I made.
Words cannot begin to express the deepest gratitude I have at my stay at ATMC following their protocol. I was able to reduce my medication which before which is virtually impossible. The staff there goes beyond caring.… They're like family from the nurses like Kimberly to the helping practitioners like Lucas Melody, Mo, DJ Beatrice, Trisha, Gregg, Beth, and so many others it truly is the greatest detox facility I have ever been to I can I can say nothing but the absolute best about this place. The backup is beautiful Sedona you're going beautiful hikes. The food is amazing and speaking of the food chefs like angel Cassie, Rochelle, and others who I can't even think of right now their names I mean if I could give this place at A+, plus I would do not hesitate to go there if this is your 15th or your first you have struck gold I love this place ATMC rocks and if you follow their protocol, you will get better and the protocol is also said I'd love to give a shout out to Dr. H and Lotus Sara Jess Renée at the detox shop. They truly do a remarkable job. All you have to do is show up work through your fears and get yourself there if you're having trouble they really know what they're doing. I wish all rehabs were set to this damn model. God bless and I wish you all the best.
I don’t even know where to begin because there are no words impactful enough to describe what Alternative to Meds Center has done for my life—and now also for my husband. This place is more than a program, more than a… treatment center, and more than a detox facility. It is where people go when their mind, body, and spirit are trying desperately to hold on, and where healing finally becomes possible. When I arrived at ATMC, I was emotionally, mentally, and physically defeated. I had spent the past 15 years on multiple combinations of psychiatric medications, including those to treat anxiety, depression, mood, ADHD, and sleep. As a nurse, I was taught that medication helps people, and that belief allowed me to find myself on a combination of eight psychiatric medications. Being at ATMC opened my eyes to alternative ways to cope with stress and calm my nervous system. ATMC helped me understand the impact that long-term use of psychiatric medications can have on your body systems. They helped me safely support my body and nervous system through a natural, holistic, whole-body approach no one had ever shown me before. I participated fully and wholeheartedly in every aspect of their detox program, nutritional support, orthomolecular therapy, and hands-on guidance. As I did, I felt my body release years’ worth of built-up medication residue. It truly felt like layers of toxicity were lifting off me, little by little, each day. My mind became clearer. My emotions became easier to understand and cope with. My energy, joy, and gratitude for life finally returned. For the first time in years, I finally felt like me again—the person I was in my 30s, before all the meds. ATMC was such a blessing to me that my husband decided to take his turn five months later. He wasn’t in the same situation as I was, but because the program is so individualized, I witnessed a similar transformation from the whole-body detox approach unfold in him—detoxing his system, clearing the mental fog, and helping his brain come alive again. Seeing him able to process emotions again and have clarity is one of the most beautiful gifts I’ve ever witnessed. It is already strengthening our marriage in ways I prayed for, but never thought were possible. If I could open the doors of this beautiful healing place to everyone who needs it, I would give my whole heart and soul to do it. I wish this kind of life-changing care was accessible to everyone, because the world needs what ATMC offers. They are doing extraordinary work, and they are changing lives from the inside out. To the staff, the doctors, the therapists, and the entire detox team: thank you. You gave me back my life, and then you gave me back the man I married 15 years ago. There is truly no greater blessing.
I can't say enough good things about ATMC! This place honestly changed my life. I have bipolar II disorder. Before coming to ATMC my meds had clunked out on me for almost 3 years and I was desperate to get help. I had… been trying different medications and nothing was working. My depressive episodes got so severe to the point that I could no longer work. I knew that I needed to seek alternative help but did not know where to go. Every psychiatrist just kept upping or changing my medications and to no avail. I was tired of being a slave to psychotropics. My family found ATMC and when I was ready to go, they got me in immediately. This place is like no other. In the US, where it is common practice to be dependent on medication as an individual with bipolar disorder and to oftentimes be debilitated and unable to work, ATMC provided a completely different option for me! At ATMC they focus on a more holistic method of detoxing and nourishing the body. We went to the "detox shop" 5 days a week where we did sauna for hours, cold plunge, ionic footbaths, massage, reiki, sound healing, foot reflexology and IV treatments. They put you on a supplement protocol. This includes many different supplements a day which are hard to take at first but when you understand the benefit of these supplements, you begin to take them happily! I also loved the groups and my therapist, Christine. You meet with your therapist twice a week. Christine was incredible, very skilled and the most empathic therapist I have ever had. They also take you out daily into town for walking/hiking and Sedona is by far one of the most beautiful places I have ever encountered! No wonder everyone comes to Sedona for healing. It's magical. They also feed you a "serotonin-building diet" that is packed with all kinds of veggies (they provide protein as well) and the 4 female chefs there are incredible! By far, the most significant aspect of ATMC and what really touched me the most is the incredible staff! Every single one of them! They are all the most authentic, genuine, loving and caring people. I do not know how they managed to get all of these amazing people in one place! They will help change your life! During my time at ATMC, I got off one of my medications and substantially lowered another one. The psychiatrist helps taper you down weekly and the naturopathic doctor and detox specialist ensure that you are taking the right supplements to support you. It's been a while since my stay and I am so blessed to say that I am stable and back to living a full life again. I continue to take the supplements that are shipped to me monthly. If you are considering an alternate way of healing your body and mind, I highly recommend this place!
No idea what they talking about. Randomly gives out same supplement protocol to everyone. Doesn’t know how protracted withdrawal works. Old and drab facilities. Out of network will rob you dry. $70k for a shared room… for their “60 day program.” Said it wouldn’t matter at what dosage I came in at on my meds because of the power of nutrition and supplements which shows their lack of knowledge when it comes to benzo withdrawal. No licensed doctors . Rude on the phone, won’t allow you to speak. Condescending. What a joke.
Alternative to Meds Center is a truly unique and life-changing facility for those seeking a holistic and integrative approach to mental health and recovery. Their team is compassionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated to… helping individuals regain balance through natural therapies, nutritional support, and a comprehensive wellness plan. What sets Alternative to Meds apart is their focus on addressing the root causes of mental health challenges rather than just treating symptoms. Their personalized approach helps clients safely transition off medications (when appropriate) while supporting them with evidence-based and alternative therapies. The environment is peaceful, the staff is supportive, and the overall experience is transformative. If you’re looking for a place that prioritizes whole-body healing and long-term well-being, Alternative to Meds Center is an excellent choice. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a different approach to mental health and recovery.
The staff at ATMC really know their stuff! I have learned so much about balancing and detoxing my system, and I have been able to use what I’ve learned to help my family as well. The grounds are breathtaking, and the… staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. They have a hands on approach, and genuinely want to help people.
I was a patient at ATMC for 60 days in 2024. In the months prior to my stay there I was battling a serious psychosis, in and out of 4 different behavioral hospitals in a matter of 4 months. The medications and… mistreatment were brutal and my family thought I was long gone. My mom found ATMC online and although I was reluctant to go there at first, it truly saved my life. I had been been diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar for 7 years, I had been prescribed heavy doses of antipsychotics, anticonvulsants, and antidepressants throughout my young adult life. It wasn't working for me, my quality of life was at its lowest. I spent my birthday and Christmas at ATMC, and I've never felt more at home away from home. The staff is genuine, hard-working, knowledgeable, relatable, and above all, they are empathetic. They make sure that everyone feels included, heard, and safe. Instead of treating the symptoms, they find a way to treat the source. I can proudly say that I've been off any and all psych medications for a full year now. Instead of giving my autonomy up to a doctor or a pill, I finally have it for myself. And I owe the world to my family, friends, and those at ATMC for that.
I WENT TO ATMC IN AUGUST OF THIS YEAR TO GET OFF A WELL KNOWN ANTIDEPRESSANT CALLED EFFEXOR. I HAD ASKED ABOUT THE SUCCESS OF WITHDRAWAL FROM THE DRUG AND IT WAS STATED THAT ATMC HAD EXPERIENCE WITH EFFEXOR. I WAS THERE… FOR 2 MONTHS AND FOLLOWED THE PROGRAM TO THE LETTER. AFTER ALL THE TESTS WERE DONE THEY STARTED TAPERING ME OFF BY 12 MGS A WEEK AND I FELT AMAZING…THE STAFF WERE AMAZING ALL AROUND BUT I HAVE A BONE TO PICK WITH THE NURSE PRACTITIONER WINNIE!!! AFTER COMING HOME, A MONTH IN , I STARTED GETTING BODY TREMORS, INSOMNIA, FATIGUE AND ANXIETY, WHICH I DIDN’T HAVE ON EFFEXOR. AFTER MUCH RESEARCH, I DISCOVERED I HAVE PROTRACTED WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS FROM COMING OFF THE MEDICATION TOO QUICKLY. I AM NOW SPENDING MORE MONEY BACK HOME TRYING TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEM AND NOBODY AT ATMC WILL SPEAK TO ME. AFTER CARE SERVICE IS NON EXISTENT. I SPENT $65,000 U.S. TO COME BACK WORSE THAN WHEN I GOT THERE. THERE SHOULD BE A REVIEW ON THE KNOWLEDGE. THAT THE PROFESSIONALS HAVE THAT ARE STEERING THE SHIP!!! THESE ARE PEOPLE’S LIVES THAT ARE AT STAKE!!!!
My daughter was a patient at ATMC for 60 days during this past summer. The personal care she received far exceeded expectations. She was able to taper off 2 perscription drugs completely and 1 partially. She has been… steadily improving since returning home and continues to taper, utilizing the skills she learned while there. Their inpatient program is highly effective but they also teach coping skills that stay with you when you leave. Beth, my daughter continues with follow up care and the difference in her mental outlook is amazing. The diet and detox program has resulted in a big improvement in her overall physical health. I would highly recommend this inpatient facility to anyone who wants to improve their emotional and physical health using holistic therapies. It has changed her life and the lives of those close to her!
Show up, do the work, take advantage of the services & this can be a life changing experience for yourself. I was doubtful at first; but the method works & the community cares. One of a kind place.
I have always been an empath and worn my heart on my sleeve. It is my greatest asset and I’m proud of the way I’ve exercised self advocacy over the course of my life and cared for others. It hasn’t been easy and I… haven’t always felt like advocating for myself, in fact it’s been painfully hard and utterly exhausting at times, but discipline always triumphs over motivation. With that being said, I wanted to share more of my most recent venture. I have spent the past 2 months at ATMC (a holistic wellness program in Sedona, Arizona) working on getting myself healthier by eating a gluten, dairy, sugar, and caffeine free organic diet, fueling my body with high quality supplements that actually work, detoxing my body from the effects of toxic body burden, and healing from chronic pain, insomnia, adrenal fatigue, low cortisol, PTSD, medical trauma, childhood trauma, and relational trauma. I’ve worked one on one with the most intelligent and compassionate group of medical providers and care team I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. I’ve been surrounded by other residents who are on a similar journey and have supported me every step of the way. I’ve learned how to take care of my mind and body, how to practice routine self care so that I can better care for those around me, and how to support others in their healing journey. I’ve learned more here about self care and emotional regulation, than I have in my entire lifetime. I now have the tools to not only help myself, but to share with others. If you’re looking for a safe environment with a supportive and authentic community to heal from the inside out from things such as chronic pain, toxic body burden, adrenal fatigue, mold exposure, heavy metal toxicity, depression, anxiety, insomnia, brain fog, PTSD, OCD, childhood trauma, medical trauma, relational trauma, addiction, substance abuse, pharmaceuticals, etc. then look no further! I’m convinced there’s not another place like ATMC in the world. When I arrived, I was sleep deprived and only sleeping 1-3 hours per night. My anxiety was through the roof, I had ruminating thoughts, and I was constantly panicked or wired and tired as they like to call it here. While I did most of my tapering on my own before I got here, they will work with you weekly to get you off your meds if that is one of your goals. I was completely overwhelmed when I arrived and didn’t know what I signed myself up for. I didn’t think I was going to make it, but it only took me about 4 days to settle in and start to feel better. My sleep improved after a few weeks and my anxiety and depression were virtually non existent once I was sleeping and putting the work in to heal. During my time here, I’ve seen every single resident get better and make positive changes in their lives. I can’t say enough good things about the staff at ATMC—they have become family to me! From John C. the program director who constantly exudes joy and compassion, to the incredible care managers and providers (Hannah, Trish, Sar, Amber, Lucas, Justin, Ray, Cody, Casey, Jordan, Ciera, Alena, Trisha) to the experienced medical team (Beth, Glenn, Winnie, Kim) the gifted clinical staff (Christine, Rebekah, Nayeem) the amazing Holistic Detox shoppe crew (Lotus, Dr. Daniela, Nick, Lacy, Renee, Sheri, Kie, Rob), the maintenance guys/ground keepers (Will, Henry, Lynette), Sharon the very talented massage therapist and life coach extraordinaire, and Jessica the super sweet Neurofeedback lady, I couldn’t be more grateful for them! Mark is also wonderful and I wouldn’t have taken this leap of faith without his encouragement throughout the entire process. Though I’ve never met Lyle, the founder at ATMC, I would be remiss to not thank him for being the founder of this miracle of a place. Sedona is also one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen! Take advantage of all ATMC has to offer, you’ll feel like the healthiest version of yourself, add years onto your life and be glad you did! With the utmost gratitude, Kirstin
Very disappointing in some aspects. I love John, Lucas and Renee! The residents are amazing. Beware of the money grab😞💔
For 14 years, I was a hopeless, depressed Schizophrenic in spiritual crisis, holding on to PTSD and failing to cope. I was taking seven medications, two of them being psych meds, all of which I accumulated since my… diagnosis, making me feel numb, sedated and were ineffective in that I was still living in and out of psychosis which lead me to self medicate with street drugs. To some it might seem a little early to comment on how much my life has drastically changed since my intake there in beautiful Sedona, Arizona, because it has only been two weeks since my discharge, but I feel like my results will be permanent because of how much I pushed myself at the program. I was introduced to a healthy new diet, which I actually enjoy, and a rigorous detox program including exercise, sauna, colonics, castor oil packs, ionic foot baths, supplements and more. I was able to taper completely off Haloperidal, Benztropine and Famotidine. I still have a couple of more months to slowly taper off of Risperidone, another psych med like Haloperidol, most of which I tapered off of at ATMC. I am completely confident in the tools ATMC gave me to accomplish this feat. I had three unique therapists during the two months I was there who gave me closure to and wisdom about my disturbing, insane and dark past. I met so many wonderful people, residents and staff, that I made friends with and surely will remember for the rest of my life. I fell in love with the lifestyle I became accustomed to in Sedona at ATMC and continue to do similar activities that strengthen my mind, body and spirit. I was told it only takes 30 days to create habits and the ones I formed there are instilled in me. I found joy, happiness, gratitude, clarity, strength, confidence, mindfulness, health and purpose again from Alternative to Meds Center.
If you are looking for a place to find healing, compassion, friendship, and empowerment....THIS IS THE PLACE. This center is very professional and knowledgeable about your total health. Whether you are trying to get off… medication or seeking help with brain health issues, this team will do all they can to find the root causes and then give you the tools necessary to keep yourself healthy. My loved one was treated very kindly and became part of the team to working toward wellness. They went out of their way to cover all bases and to get her on the right track to recovery. ATMC is far above any mental health facility that I have been in contact with....they don't rely on medication only to cover up symptoms...they go deeper and work to find out the root cause of mental health issues. The therapies such as saunas, massages, chelation, equine therapy, hiking, organic food, sound therapy and a wonderful caring staff all make this place" a work in progress" for healing. I can only hope that in the near future, we can see places like this in every state. We need change in the way we treat mental health issues and using Alternative to Meds Center as a model would be a great place to start.
I stayed at ATMC for the two month program. They removed a couple prescription drugs when I got there that I was not on for very long. Then I was ripped off of a benzo way too fast and the withdrawal was horrific. I… asked about switching to another benzo and they did this without tapering me over to the new one and stopped two other meds at the same time and I stopped sleeping for days. They have no idea what they are doing with benzos. I have done a ton of research and that should have never happened to me. The staff is friendly, I will give you that. I enjoyed my therapist (who is no longer with the company) She was the only way I made it through my stay there and I feel I needed the therapy more to deal with being there than to deal with the medication taper. I did receive pages and pages that went over my stay and I read all of them. There was a comment about another resident on my paperwork! VERY unprofessional. Not sure if it breaks HIPPA since it just said his first name, but I know his last name and yeah, the note about him was not good, considering he passed away a couple days after leaving the facility. I have stayed in touch with multiple people that I met at the house and everyone is back on their meds, are on new meds, or are struggling. Some people do need medication and I feel this facility takes advantage of those who are at a desperate low point in their life and charge an absurd amount of money. One of my roommates was told they would help her with her sleep. They didn't...her sleep just got worse while she was there. So she didn't stay more than 10 days or so and they wouldn't refund her any of her stay....
ATMC saved my life, and is a constant source of hope and inspiration for me. We need more likeminded people in this world. Endless thanks to all these beautiful people staff and clients,..thankyou atmc
Alternative to Meds was a transformative experience that surpassed any other residential program I have ever attended. Initially, I was skeptical due to my history of being bounced around in the medical system, having… tried almost every antidepressant, antipsychotic, mood stabilizer, and sleep medication available. Despite my constant hospitalizations for suicide attempts and ideation, which were side effects of the medication, the doctors refused to acknowledge the issue. In my desperation to find relief, I tried numerous treatments, including ECT, ketamine, TMS, taking over thirty supplements daily from a nutritionist, seeing a naturopath who tested my heavy metals and gut bacteria by sending my feces to a lab, and even resorting to fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT), which involves the transfer of healthy bacteria from a donor into the gut. Despite these efforts, all of the medications were causing disruption in my gut, leading to severe constipation, which resulted in toxins being trapped in my body and overloading my liver. When I arrived at ATMC, I was terrified that they would take away my medications and unsure of what would happen. However, I knew that this was a life-or-death situation, and my family pooled their resources to send me there. The staff at ATMC were friendly, conscientious, and patient, always there to support me through my toughest moments. During my 3.5 month stay, I managed to wean off of three heavy-duty medications, which was a significant accomplishment. The facility kept us busy with various activities, including yoga, life coaching, art therapy, and weekend excursions to the creek and equine therapy. The sauna was initially daunting for me, but eventually, I was spending two hours in it daily, which helped me to detoxify. At first, I consumed a lot of baked goods, chocolate, and meat but my constipation persisted. After a month, the staff recommended that I adopt a vegan diet, which worked wonders. I stopped eating cereals and smoothies in the morning, opting for fruit instead. I ate tofu and pumfoo, along with a lot of salads and vegetables. Surprisingly, I was able to adhere strictly to this diet. Once I began eating healthier, my cravings for sugar and junk food subsided, and I lost some weight while feeling healthier overall. While at the farmer's market, I discovered a raw ginger and turmeric tonic, which I took daily and even ordered some to be delivered to my house! I was told that it has reversed autoimmune diseases. The facility is experimenting with juicing fresh Wheatgrass. I recommend asking for that because the high nutrient content helps with the detox. ATMC does not rely on medication as the only solution, unlike other rehab centers. They want you on as few meds as possible and to taper them safely. They provide an array of coping skills to help you recover. Towards the end, I even discovered some of my own coping mechanisms, such as "bed yoga," which I found on YouTube and helped me relax before bedtime. I also began journaling to a higher power, whether it be God or the universe, which helped me process my thoughts on paper, especially when ruminating thoughts felt overwhelming. As my stay progressed, my mind cleared, and my creative abilities resurfaced. I was drawing and writing poems, getting excited about crystals and smiling with a sparkle in my eyes. There are so many staff who touched my heart and I am grateful for every person who has helped me along the way. But I want to give a special thanks to Sara, Courtney, and Trish who were especially warm and patient with me during times of distress. Offering continuous reassurance that I could get through this process and things would get better. I was also very happy with Carly's medication tapering decisions and her soothing qualities. You aren't mentally ill. This isn't the end of your road! You can heal yourself and break free from those labels. At ATMC they held my hand and guided me down the right path. Honestly, they saved my life.
I loved every moment of being at ATMC. I’ve gotten to experience this beautiful place twice. Each time was such a necessary experience to help me grow as an individual and overcome the troubles I was dealing with at the… time. I loved going on hikes, and doing the sauna. I especially loved being able to go to the gym and get a nice sweat in. I am SO thankful to Lyle for opening this place up. It truly is nothing short of a miracle, what they do for people who deal with mental health issues and side affects from their medication.
