Could be a great resource to the community if the shelters didnt pick and choose who they help. The staff in their shelters are often racist and will threaten to kick you out simply for being white. Men come into your… rooms while you are sleeping and try to touch you. Their issues with their shelters are out of control. I have reached out for years to report these problems I experienced and they decided to stop helping me because I reported them. They dumped me and my 4 kids out onto the street because I fought against them for being racist- and through all this i continued to turn the other cheek. I almost lost everything because I relied on people who didnt care about me and wanted to punish me because im white - white passing because im actually spanish and Asian. I even felt looked down on because I was on my own - willing to work as hard as I possibly could to get out of my situation, working day AND night to pull myself out of thousands of dollars of debt and eventually having my lawyer help me find housing. They only thing they helped with is me living rent free to do that. I wasnt offered ANY other resources that my cousin who happens to be darker than me

Multiple services to assist the homeless. They frequently have hot meals available, which are tasty, fairly healthy and well balanced.
Amos house is a great resource center and they give out free lunch every day launch ends at 12:30 not sure what time it starts not sure what all they help with best way to find out is go there and inquire I am grateful… for Amos house 🏡

Helping People Help Themselves is truly the mission. This is not just a "handout" with no purpose, it's food and housing in order to get out of survival mode and form a life one can be proud of. Workforce training,… healthcare, lots of mailboxes (need an address to get a job), a community that asks "how are you" are all aspects of what people need in order to help themselves - and others - long term.
