Arkansas River Valley Area Council – Russellville Reviews

Called 2 weeks ago *on a Thursday* and was told the person who answered was new and not sure how to help. Took down my name and number and assured someone would call by the following Monday. No one called. I attempted… to call multiple times later in the week and no one would answer the phones. *imagine that* Workers are either incompetent or haven't been trained. Either way this organization should stop offering services or hire people who are actually able to complete work/tasks.
This job has some of the worst management I have seen. What started off as an open and supportive environment quickly turned into chaos. Between constantly being short staffed and encouraging all staff to engage in… unethical practices, such as encouraging clients to stay in treatment longerto get insurance money from them, despite clients expressing otherwise, or it not being appropriate, as well as Being constantly talked down to and disrespectful to by HR. Every day seems like a hostile working environment, where you never knew what was coming and you were always on pins and needles around the CEO. I overheard several employees, directors included., Talk about walking in fear amongst the CEO as when she, HR, and other HR related officers come around and start to enact policies that don’t make much sense as they are unfamiliar with their own client base due to being tucked away in offices and not there on the day-to-day grind which constantly put staff in burnout, stress And often times unsafe situations. The clients were the best part about the job, helping them find placement and support, but expectation management placed on staff helping them were often time very unrealistic on both ends. Policies and procedures changed at the drop of a hat from the CEOs mood/attitude. During the government shut down, a lot of sketchy things happened. In the event when we had too many clients to handle instead of listening to staff about burnout, stress and worry, we were rewarded with an ice cream party. I noticed something during my time there, People in various different departments from techs, directors, and even to management all don’t like being there and are just there for the money, scared they have no job security as they often let go individuals at the drop of a hat, creating uneven work loads and are always scared And in fear of the CEO and her chief officers who back all of her unethical behavior at the drop of a hat. I highly recommend no one work here and would not be surprised if I saw them on the news for fraud.
There to help!
It helps a lot of people eat. I just know the food side of things and not really the programs side of things. Don’t really need a lot of services, just food and I’m thankful!
Commodities where announced for polk co 10 to 12 Aug 19th. No truck no Arvac workers in sight. They need to pull thing together and communicate.
