About LifeStance Health – Herriman

Bradley Hospital operates from 1011 Veterans Memorial Parkway in Riverside. The site sits in Providence County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Cranston, East Providence and Providence. Rhode Island draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.

Hospital inpatient care, residential treatment, partial hospitalization and outpatient care are delivered here, alongside telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Treatment Services at Bradley Hospital

Hospital inpatient care, residential treatment, partial hospitalization and outpatient care run to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone.

Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers. Assessment decides the level of care, so ask what that involves and how quickly it can happen.

How Much Does Treatment at Bradley Hospital Cost?

Treatment at Bradley Hospital typically costs $7,000 to $30,000 a month for residential treatment, $8,000 to $15,000 a month for partial hospitalization and $1,500 to $5,500 a month for standard outpatient. These are Rhode Island market ranges rather than this facility’s own published figures.

This site accepts cash or self-payment, private insurance and Medicaid, with a sliding fee scale also available. Ask whether the quoted figure includes assessment, medication and aftercare, since those are often billed separately. What you pay turns on cover and length of stay rather than the headline range.

Bradley Hospital Verified by the RehabSeekers Editorial Verification Team

Our Editorial Verification Team reviewed this listing before publication. Rhode Island Department of Behavioral Healthcare licensing records and the national treatment register were both consulted. Registration and licensing are matters of public record, which is what makes them worth checking rather than taking on trust.

We do not publish on a facility’s word alone. Registration shows what a service is licensed to provide, not how a program performs in practice. Listings are reviewed as those records change, though details can move faster than any register updates.

Bradley Hospital Reviews and Ratings

Reviews of residential care at Bradley Hospital tend to turn on how quickly someone was seen and how the first week felt. None of that shows up in a licensing record, which is why this section exists. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

If you have been treated here, what happened after discharge is the detail others most need. Whether family were involved, and at what stage, is worth mentioning too. Waiting times, staffing and how the first appointment was handled are the things future readers ask about.

Most of Bradley staff knows me, I was and in and out patient most of my life ever since the age of 5 years old been on cadd and AIU, worse place to put your kid in, if you guys (as parents) please hear me out, don’t send your kids to this place 🙏, I was a victim of being there for 2 years and then they placed me in a group home all the way from 12-18 and they manipulate you to make your kid stay here longer, Know your rights as legal parents you have every right to sign them out and hear me out if you act out just a little bit they put you on 6 point boards they don’t try to deesclate the situation instead they choose to escalate the situations and put you in a padded room for hours at a time, this place right here needs to shut down they don’t help you they work against you and they make money out of you. I’m now 20 years old and my goal is to let everyone know what this please really is DCYF shouldn’t even have the laws to hold kids in there for months if not years at a time it’s a temporary place design to be here for a couple weeks instead they hold you here against your own will and everyone wonders why patients other there act up. Please be aware about this please parents! And hear your kid out I know it may seem they lying but I promise you they ain’t

It's probably silly to write a review on Bradley Hospital now, I was an inpatient there from 1978- 1980, it was the only place back then I felt safe. I had abusive parents and was an epileptic. I loved every minute of being there. They helped me with my emotional feelings and taught me that it was okay to feel the way I did about being abused by my parents. Back then we had units that we were placed on. I was on the "debs" unit. We had the best unit leaders going. I'm 62 now but I will always remember them and their names, because they were the only people that validated my feelings and emotions and told me I was okay. I still today have friends from way back then. I appreciate everything that Bradley hospital did for me and I will never forget that they took care of me when nobody else would!

This is the worst hospital ever! They treat the kids like crap. They are held prisoners in their rooms like my son was. My son is non verbal and they pick on the kids that cant voice themselves. Well little do they know that I am his voice and I will be heard. Im pulling my son out of there. These people are so rude and inconsiderate. That hospital should be shut down.

I was at Bradley for a long time, many times, and one of my longest stays was seven months. It was a really sad experience, but at the same time, it helps some people. I'm still not completely well, but I truly recommend it to people going through difficult times who don't know what to do. I felt the same way and had too many suicide attempts and struggle with self-harm. Now I feel better, not 100%, but better. The staff at Bradley are very good, especially Sean, Irene, Kelsey, and Chris from the children's unit. They are the best staff; they talk to you when you need it most and are very kind.

I came here in 2013 when I was 13 years old... I'm a 26 year old grown man with Asperger's. I had a rough time in 2013 because I was getting bullied by my former classmates, I went insane and then I got myself sent to Bradley Hospital. 13 years later... I got my own YouTube channel, my own job, my own apartment and stuff that I always wanted on my bucket list. I'm building my own future and working on my goals/dreams. I learned that in life it's better to be on your own. Because this world is too evil for people to understand our feelings. I pray for the people in Bradley to heal through their wounds.

Do not inpatient your tween or teen here. Don’t let them keep your tween or teen here. As a 12 year old I spent a week in the inpatient facility and THREE WEEKS doing outpatient. They will not see your child as fit for discharge unless they have fully conformed to Bradley’s standards. I missed a month of sixth grade and a field trip I had been looking forward to for years, simply because the clinicians at Bradley set me so far behind. When you treat a child with home or mental issues as something to be fixed, they remain under the mindset that they are something to be fixed.

I was a patience here And the nurse Kelly, Everytime she would see me, yelled "OLI ROGERS" in a pirate accent. Her and Paul are my favorite nurses lol. I told them I would right a review and I did. Let's pray they look at this because I keep my word. Other than that, the place was good. Thank you for taking care of me.

I am the parent of a teenage daughter who is currently admitted at Bradley Hospital and has had multiple admissions here in the past. I am sharing this review so other families can make informed decisions, and so administration understands the real impact these systemic issues are having on the children in their care. Before her involvement with Bradley, my daughter had no history of physical aggression to harm others. Across several admissions here, that changed. Instead of seeing improvement, we saw her behaviors escalate during and after her stays. For any parent, that alone is alarming. What has made it more difficult is the way this information has been communicated, minimized, or contradicted by members of the clinical team over time. Across multiple stays, I have repeatedly experienced the same issues: inconsistent updates, delayed responses, conflicting information between staff, and communication that has at times felt dismissive and disrespectful. These patterns are not isolated incidents or emotional impressions. They have repeated themselves across admissions, even when concerns were raised clearly, professionally, and in writing. There are individual staff members who are caring and work very hard, and I want to acknowledge that. But systemically, the communication and treatment coordination issues here have made an already challenging situation significantly worse. Families rely on accurate information and a consistent clinical approach, especially when a child’s safety is involved. That has not been my experience at Bradley. I am sharing this because parents deserve transparency. If your child is in crisis and you still have access to other therapeutic or residential options, I would strongly encourage you to pursue those first. In my view, Bradley is a place families turn to only when all other options are exhausted, not because it provides the highest quality care, but because it is what remains when you have nowhere else to go. I hope administration takes this feedback seriously. These are not one-off concerns. They are repeated, documented patterns that have real consequences for the children and families relying on this hospital during their most vulnerable moments.

This place is not helpful at all I don’t recommend this place to no one I have a son that is going to the partial on Cadd he had Autism and adhd this people don’t want to change the medication at all they playing with the doses up and down and there excuse is that everything is the behavior when that he had can cause irritation to a child and also can increase behavior and the psychologist and the psychiatrist don’t see that

My child recently went here for serious depression and suicidal ideation. The program is very intrusive and requires both the family and the child to be fully open and honest. In our experience it was not an easy or light experience. But the alternative was losing my child and I was not willing to do that as no good parent should. The staff there all treated my child very well . I assume this would vary depending on how the child behaves but my kid is a good kid and is respectful. The place looked reasonably clean but this is a psychiatric facility so not nearly as sanitary as a hospital. The program gave me my kid back and helped our family out in so many ways but it requires a lot of work on everybody's part and it is in no way shape or form easy. But if you work the program and continue the program on an outpatient basis as well it does work. The staff are dedicated , friendly , respectful and caring and as long as you're kid and family is respectful to them and work the program. This program saved my kid and helped my family through one of the hardest times in our lives and I will be forever grateful to have them in our lives.

The staff don’t care about the kids, the unit is cold as a freezer, all the staff wear sweaters because the unit is cold, but they put the kids on disposable scrubs, not because they don’t have clothes, because the Parents brought clothes for his kids, so sad they don’t help the kids on meal time, like to cut their food or anything, like wash their hands, so sad!!!

i went here when i was 7. i feel i should mention before all of this that i was 7 in around 2018. i came out with even more trauma than before. this hospital is one of the main things that caused my severe ptsd. they make everything worse. i already had traumatic experiences beforehand, but going here for however long i was in ruined me even more. they once locked me in a small white room for at least half an hour telling me to calm down in there (they were the ones telling me whether i was ready or not). also they heavily encouraged kids having too much time on youtube (all i would hear all day was baby shark over and over again). also, the partial program doesn’t help either. they make you do it instead of school and im proud to say i learned basically nothing. they just taught us like one math skill from our grade level, made us do coloring pages, “rewarded” us with 15 minutes of screen time on the tablet with crappy games. i’d also like to add there is NO controls over the tablets/electronics either in the inpatient or partial, at least when i came. they let us download and watch anything, and even though i didn’t really find anything too bad, it was clear they didn’t care. in the partial program, i once started throwing up and they blamed it on me. they left me to throw up in a bucket literally right next to everyone, saying rude stuff to me telling me to calm down. they will taunt you to lash out and then blame it on you, telling you to calm down while ridiculing you. they also do not seperate the kids from ongoing incidents. this one girl (i believe she was around 10) started swearing and throwing stuff and etc. and they didn’t even try to get her out of the room until like 10 minutes later.. in the inpatient they also barely teach you anything. the one thing i was made to do in there for “learning” was reading some passage about how to train your dragon and answer the easiest questions ever. i’m forced to still go here for therapy and have the same issues from before, literally even worse. they do not try to help you. they force you to stay here for as long as possible because it’s all about the money, doesnt matter if they actually care, they just want you to stay. this place is genuinely so horrible and i dread having to come here every time. they just mindlessly play around with your medications whether you’re there for therapy or inpatient (ive experienced both and *currently* am experiencing it in the “therapy” there) not caring about side effects. yea, they tell you about them, but they do not care. they just tell me to tell someone if i have side effects even though they KNOW SO WELL that these side effects would make me even worse because of the conditions i have. im genuinely so happy to hear that this place has horrible reviews because these people deserve to know that people like me have been left scarred for years. also im a suspected did/osdd system and this is one of the biggest factors.. ironic since they treat disorders, hm… also the experiences in this review aren’t even close to everything. my brain has blocked out almost all of these memories (dissociative amnesia). to whoever has read the whole thing, i thank you for staying to listen to my experiences here.

This state makes it impossible for kids to get the proper health treatment they need. My son has been waiting over 6 months to get a diagnosis. He’s now here at Bradley against our will , against his will and they won’t let him leave. As a retired police officer, I can’t fathom how this is legal and these people justify this.

Horrible staff they treat the children horribly. Not sanitary what so ever lack of communication and they threaten to call and send dcyf and take you to court after your child has been discharged. They lied to the state and put more stress on my daughter and our family because I took my daughter out of that situation to make sure she got the proper mental health care . They do not like when you advocate for your minor children . I thought that place was to help children not make their mental health worse . For a non profit they push medicine on kids give them supplements with out parent’s permission . To me they just care about how many bodies they can get to stay open . Please choose a different option when sending your child to an inpatient facility those children need help or they need new staff new building new policies
