Brookdale Premier Addiction Recovery – Scotrun Detox and Rehab Services

The register shows Brookdale Premier Addiction Recovery – Scotrun providing detox, residential treatment and intensive outpatient. The withdrawal stage is clinically observed, which is what makes it safer than stopping alone. Day programming is scheduled, with evenings spent at home. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.

The listing records a single focus rather than combined treatment, so anyone needing both should confirm what is available. Approved medication is paired with counseling and regular review. Ask what a typical week involves before committing, since the schedule determines whether the program is workable alongside work or family.

Brookdale was my first rehab I had ever been to a 57 years old. I'm an alcoholic and needed help. God must guided me here because it's one of the best places in the nation. If not the best. I would say probably 95% of… all the staff, including The cafeteria, the text the counselors and their Management team are recovered Addicts. Simply, they care and love you there. I miss it, but I only wanna go back as alumni lol. If you have an addiction problem, the best thing you could do to save your life is go to Brookdale.

I made a mistake. I thought this was a physical therapy rehabilitation center. I was suffering from long covid and complications from a concussion. I definitely needed medical care but this was, obviously, the wrong… place for that. It’s an AA orientated rehab facility. It would have been ok if they worked with me in finding the appropriate resources for my condition. But instead, they kept me there for three weeks and bilked my insurance company for 120k dollars. I was put on several anti-seizure medications that actually made my condition worse. It was a bad experience for me.

I spent 28 days at Brookdale as I was first Reluctant to be there that quickly change from the over whelming of kindness I received from the moment I opened the car door, from the staff to the other patience everyone… was amazingly kind and welcoming. The food was good and the place was clean. The whole experience was educational, relaxing, and fun. As at times I forgot I was as rehab cause it felt like summer camp. Having fun with out drinking is something I never thought I could do. I connected to a counselor and tech like they were friends reminding me that we are all the same just there to heal and grow.

The way they keep your family involved teaching them about the… disease of addiction and creating a bridge for you to repair relationships with family that may have been affected by your addiction was amazing. The food was great and they keep the days full with groups and activities which help tremendously with creating a routine which is crucial to your success when leaving . All around Brookdale was amazing, I would 100% recommend them for you or your loved ones looking for help with addiction.

My experience at Brookdale Recovery was nothing short of life-changing. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with kindness, compassion, genuine smiles, and, most importantly, hope. During one of the darkest periods… of my life, the staff at Brookdale made me feel seen, valued, and supported every step of the way. The detox program was exceptional. Having 24-hour medical supervision provided a tremendous sense of safety and comfort while transitioning from active addiction into recovery. Knowing there was always someone available to help made a difficult process much more manageable. The technicians were truly the heart of the program. They were patient, compassionate, understanding, and always willing to listen. No matter the time of day, they greeted everyone with a smile and kind words, creating an atmosphere of encouragement and acceptance. They became a bright light during some very challenging moments. A special shout-out goes to Bob, whose wit and incredible sense of humor brought laughter and positivity when it was needed most. Shannon, the recreation technician, was simply outstanding. Her gentle nature, calming voice, and genuine concern for others helped guide me through difficult moments and provided comfort when I needed it most. I would also like to recognize “Big Book” Pat, who helped me begin working through the first steps of recovery. His knowledge, patience, and dedication were invaluable and left a lasting impact on my journey. The cabins were cozy, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a peaceful environment conducive to healing and self-reflection. Dr. C and FNP Kristen were absolutely phenomenal. Their professionalism, compassion, and dedication to every client’s recovery were evident in every interaction. Their bedside manner was among the best I have ever experienced, and they truly cared about our success. While there is room for improvement within certain areas of the nursing department, it did not overshadow the incredible care and support I received throughout my stay. Overall, Brookdale Recovery gave me the foundation I needed to begin a new life in recovery. The love, compassion, patience, and unwavering support I received there helped jump-start my journey toward sobriety. I am forever grateful to the staff and fellow clients who walked beside me during this important chapter of my life. I highly recommend Brookdale Recovery to anyone seeking help and hope for a better future.

I rarely leave negative reviews online, and I waited months before writing this because I wanted to reflect on my experience objectively. I'm sharing this because choosing a treatment center is one of the most important… decisions a person or family can make. My experience at Brookdale Recovery was unfortunately very disappointing. The biggest issue was continuity of care. About halfway through treatment, my assigned therapist informed me on only a few days' notice that he would be leaving for vacation after I had already spent weeks opening up about deeply personal struggles related to substance use and mental health. I was then reassigned and effectively had to restart the therapeutic process with another therapist. In my opinion, if it was already known that my therapist would be unavailable for a significant portion of my stay, I should have been paired with a therapist who could remain involved throughout treatment. Building trust and rapport is a critical part of recovery, and having to start over midway through the process was extremely disruptive. I also had concerns regarding the level of familiarity with certain substance-related issues that were directly relevant to my situation. Combined with several communication and scheduling problems during my stay, the experience left me feeling that the care I received fell well short of expectations. To be fair, I understand treatment facilities require structure and accountability. My concerns are not about the rules. They are about continuity of care, communication, preparedness, and how patient concerns were handled once raised. The positive outcome is that I am now sober. However, that progress ultimately came after continuing treatment with other specialists following my time at Brookdale. Looking back, I do not believe my experience at Brookdale contributed meaningfully to my recovery, and I felt that parts of the experience created additional stress during an already difficult period of my life. I would encourage anyone considering treatment there to ask detailed questions about therapist availability, continuity of care, and how patient concerns are handled before making a decision.

My experience at Brookdale far exceeded that of any other treatment I had previously completed. From facilities, to staff and programming I was amazed. I received personalized treatment and the staff truly had my… recovery and family as their top priority at all times. I am indebted to Brookdale for saving my life, and forever changing my perspective and understanding on addiction. Truly a life changing experience. I highly encourage anyone struggling with addiction to give Brookdale the chance to help. You will not regret it.
