Best detox I’ve been to felt welcomed as soon as I walked in Ashley is awesome. Super funny and cool Awesome friendly staff. Definitely would return and recommend to anyone trying to better themselves and get a head… start in sobriety Nice comfy theater w/recliners & Great food too!!!
Ashley, And Hope, We're very professional, And very helpful. My whole time I stayed there. Excellent job ladies
I did my detox at the facility Great environment they are respectful to their patients great staff shout out to Ashley keep up the great work.👍
Awesome detox would highly recommend this place.
Staff was amazing and made me feel welcome. It’s never easy accepting help but they never once made me feel embarrassed or unwelcome.
Great place. I recommend if you ever need to get your mind and body right. Top notch staff
Staff is supportive, responsive and so encouraging! Love this detox!
These comments and reviews prior to mine I have to be by bot or something that is all false they are short staff, the food is all previously boxed and it tastes awful because the facility so understaffed the nurses are… always pissy it's like being in jail it was a horrible experience mind you this is the second time I go thinking that the first time I must have been in the wrong but no seriously you want to go to a cool place try virtue in Sun City go somewhere where they care about you not people who just go get his paycheck
Friendly staff ( their paper towels in the lobby restroom are Scott brand lol )
The residential was great other then a few glitches, like ac was out for over a week in summer. However the IOP was a horrible experience . I was refused because I could only take another month off from work and they… wanted me to comit for additional 12 weeks. So much for support
This Cave Creek facility is an absolute hoax, lol I dropped off my husband and was told an abundance of lies about being able to keep in contact for check ins and to see if he needed any fresh belongings. Every question… I asked I was told “yes I am allowed” and that “it wouldn’t be a problem! He was there for 3 days without any update or contact at all, yes they do have a blackout and I understood this but while also coming to find out that he ended up leaving his second day to come back a half hour later and I was not informed…and yes I was on his ROI! Buena Vista runs their facility by choice of how they take the addict in and what insurance they have..not by code of conduct surrounding HIPPA or quality of care for the person coming in seeking help. They never released a form with consent of cameras being in the rooms, 2 female staff strip searched my husband naked..and 1 female staff ended up slipping a “you are handsome” note with a winky face in my husbands going home bag…not only am I an addict myself but I work in the field as well and I am not only embarrassed by this treatment but saddened by the care people are receiving…DO better! Only good part it they helped him with meds. Great job lol
The staff here saved my life besides the brutal detox my experience was so amazing
I was there in november honestly it was amazing. Sam,chase, fred, bill, niko
Buena Vista Recovery center is by far the best center I've ever been to. From the nurse's to the bht's. Nasir and Trish are great therapist's. Deb I love dearly,my facilitator. Art my case manager was the best. I owe my… new life to you all. And of course God. Without all of you god only knows where I would be today. If you want the best in drug treatment this is the place to go. Mind, body and sprit. I'm talking about Chandler B.V.
The do not ever answer their phones. Family is trying to call to check up on loved ones and this facility isolated that.
I have been trying to call this place since 10am and it is now 3:15, I've left multiple voicemails. It rings and rings until then leading into a beeping dial tone, I don't even get a voicemail. HORRIBLE SERVICE,… wouldn't recommend. SO much for this being a place to help people. RIDICULOUS.
This place was horrible. Do not go here. Never saw a doctor in 4 days. Refused any phone access, including house phone.. Staff was unprofessional. Food horrible. I wouldn't reccomend to my worst enemy.
Buena Vista is top notch! It’s been 18 months since my stay and I’m pleased to share that I’m doing fantastic. I was in pretty rough shape when I walked through those doors. The staff gave me immediate care and made me… feel comfortable. Everyone there was very patient and kind. It was probably one of the worst times of my life, but the best thing I could have ever done. The great counseling truly opened my eyes and I’ve learned how to cope with my anxiety without a crutch. There are a lot of group meetings and activities, i recommend that you push yourself to to do them all. I’m so grateful that I was able to open my mind and heart to the treatment I was given. I know I had a strong will to heal, but couldn’t have done it without the wonderful staff!! A huge thank you to the staff at Buena Vista! God bless you all! Sandra
This place was awesome. The food was impressive, all things considered. Staff brought insight from diverse backgrounds. Ive personally recommended to multiple persons and families. I feared checking in, however i was… soon volunteering for an extended stay. Please don't take negative reviews to deeply. Its a hard place to be and a difficult time at first. However no one is forcing anyone to stay, all are welcome to leave. As my first AA meeting attempt failed, i was simply reminded. If your not ready, we will be here next week and the month after.
Amazing staff, information, experience and environment. I highly recommend this place!!
Scared. Anxious. Tired. Frustrated. Heartbroken. Terrified. These are only a couple of the overpowering emotions I had, watching my 23 yr old struggling with drug, alcohol and mental health issues. I'm pretty sure if… you're reading this, you have felt this, too. He always seemed to hold himself together well. Until he didn't. From the moment we called to inquire at Buena Vista I felt more at ease than any other place we called. The day we dropped him off, we were all a mess since we were stepping into the "unknown". As I sat for a few minutes once they took him to a side room, a nurse comes out and makes small talk but there was something about her that caught my attention. Spunky but mellow. And when she said she loves her job, it was absolutely a genuine statement and I could feel her positive vibe in her words. After a few days, he made his first phone call to let us know how it was going and I wanted to cry with relief. His voice had a sound in it that I hadn't heard in over 2 years. It was calm and almost peaceful from the inside out. He has a bit of a road ahead of him but HUGE shout out to Michael and Zach, who both took the time and effort to ensure my son felt welcome and helping him along the way. You made a life lasting impact and he will never forget either of you for that.
I was welcomed by dozens of people and staff, whom were the best I’ve ever had. They ALL—from BHTs, RNs, Docs, and those who brought in yoga/fitness/H&I Meetings were utterly incredible. I will say though for those of… you who can’t sleep, it is BRUTAL having no TV in the room and being alone in the dark with your thoughts for days and nights and many more nights. There’s not too much programming but that’s good for detox. I think I wished we did more activities together. I suggested we run our own meeting when I was there and that went great! So maybe that can stay there. No topics just fellowship and reading the big book :). They were very flexible with medication (but legal and ethical!!) too, which I had never experienced. So if you couldn’t sleep, they were able to give a small seroquel. Also, they have good food, tons of “smoke breaks!” Andddd snacks galore!!! I made good friends from detox :) take advantage of that fellowship man. -Ashley Roth
This place is the tops. The staff are amazing caring people. The program is awesome and the food is great. I am glad I found them when I was in such dyer need. Thank you and bless you all.
Below is an exert from their Outpatient page and it is absolutely untrue. There has been zero family involvement throughout the process and there continues to be no outreach or updates to the family. It’s very… disappointing and its causing significant stress and anxiety during their 120 hour outpatient program. “Family Programs – Buena Vista communicates regularly with the families and/or loved ones of our patients in order to update them on the patients’ progress as they continue through the Buena Vista program.” In reality they actively work to isolate the patient from the family during the inpatient and outpatient process.
This was my first visit to them and it was the best place ive ever been to. Ive been to a few other places and none of them can compare to buena vista on tatum. I would highly recommend over any recovery center in the… valley. Great food great environment, and all the staff are so wonderful. The staff actually care about you and will do anything to keep you comfortable. Thank you for everything. You made a huge impact on my life.
I loved everything about it and every ONE
Amazing experience from Intake to Discharge! I highly recommend Buena Vista Detox for individuals who are wishing to take a huge step towards a Positive Journey in Sobriety!
You won’t find better care anywhere else. Every single person that works there cares about you as if you were there family. I’ve been to a few places and this one sets the bar at an above and beyond level. The therapist… is the best one I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot of those over the 12 year history. She tells it like it is and came in on her day off just to check on me and make sure I was there and to help the other 13 family members I made. Recovery isn’t supposed to be a vacation but the treatment and care you get gives you a comfortable and relaxing feeling while filling the day with groups and other activities. They even went as far as buying new equipment for us to make sure we felt comfortable and had an amazing experience. One girl wanted a hula hoop because that was her hobby and they bought her one. The staff has all been through or experienced recovery before which makes them very relatable and understanding. The food is great, and you can bring your own depending on the items, just ask before you go and it’s more then likely it will be acceptable. One staff member went as far as hand cooling Capri suns for us because we ran out and she wanted us to have cold juice instead of having to wait for it to cool. Graduating is the only unfortunate part of this center. You don’t want to leave. The only way they could better themselves is to give you the option to do a 30 day inpatient. For some it’s allowed depending on insurance. Other then that it is hands down the best place to start a long road of recovery. Thank you to the staff, you are all so amazing and I appreciate everything you guys did for me! Maybe the space in the back could be turned into an inpatient house to allow more 30 day patients. The people deserve your level of care that won’t be found anywhere else.
