Calm Center – Tulsa Detox and Rehab Services
Calm Center – Tulsa offers detox, residential treatment and sober living. Supervised withdrawal comes first, with the greatest danger in the opening seventy-two hours. Anyone can ask what a typical week looks like before starting. Cost, travel and waiting time are all worth weighing together.
Co-occurring mental health conditions are addressed alongside substance use, which is the approach the evidence supports. Supported housing is available for people continuing treatment after a more intensive stage. Ask whether family can be involved and at what stage. Calm Center – Tulsa Reviews and Ratings
Have you or a loved one been treated at Calm Center? A few lines about admissions, the staff and what happened after treatment ended can help another family in Tulsa weigh the same choice.
It was amazing the food is amazing the stuff for amazing like literally everything about it is amazing except for the beds the beds are a little bit uncomfortable but other than that it's amazing and it's also really… short term which I like about that it's only 7 days which is actually not that bad so yeah the doctor really helpful the therapist really helpful everything's really helpful
So peak :D
Its been 5 years since I was a patient here, but my experience was very impactful and I wanted to share now that im an adult. Also want to note my younger sister has been in recent years and shares my positive… experiences. Growing up I went inpatient a lot and was very troubled, I felt hopeless and scared. The Calm Center does not just slap a label on kids and teens like some other facilities in the area, the staff are understanding, patient and compassionate people who are relatable in many ways and teach actual coping skills that help in day to day life. I believe forgive me if I get names wrong but Mr. Corey does groups that I still think about to this day that taught me lessons and helped me see different perspectives. Mr. Jimmy and one of the Therapists Spencer were also very kind to me and helped me realize that there are safe, kind, and caring men in the world. Growing up I had a very complicated relationship with my father, and I had talked a bit about that when I was there. Nearly every day I smile or sometimes cry when I recall that at my leaving ceremony Mr. Jimmy told me that any man should be proud to have me as a daughter, I wish I could express how much that has impacted and healed me. Thank you guys for all you do for the youth of Tulsa and beyond!
What kind of counseling service do you have up there, that meets with a parent and her daughter and ignores the mom telling the counselor the daughter is threatening to cut themselves and wants the mother to kill… themselves? She literally asks the mother to not say her daughter told her she wanted her to kill herself in a different way to not hurt the daughter’s feelings. Then went on to criticize the mother. I will be contacting attorneys and the Oklahoma mental health board this week to make sure this never happens up there again, and if either one of them gets hurt, I will make sure this office never gets the chance to mock and blame another parent who was only looking for a way to deal with a child, who refuses to listen to anything, physically assaults her mother and threatens her own life and her moms. To have a counselor up there who leaves counseling ignoring the physiological problems and the warnings of physical harm, is criminal. I hope that counselor finds them self facing the consequences before my attorneys do.
I was here allll the way back in april 2024 and honestly it wasnt bad. It was a pretty good break and the therapist Spencer was veryyy nice. I spent the entire time painting and ruined all the clothes I brought there… with paint lol. I think maybe if I was more open minded and I wasnt judged for being 10 years old (I WAS SO YOUNG I KNOW. I WAS IN 4TH GRADE) it wouldve really really helped. The beds were comfy AND YOU COULD GO IN UR ROOM WHEN YOU WANTED. I love the beading ceremony it Feels like an inside joke between the patients and the staff teehee. Nothing bad to say about this place except sometimes there were staff who I felt didnt care about the patients but its a pretty good place. The teacher there gives us life savers tehe
My foster child went here and the staff does amazing
I don't know if it helped my daughter at all sadly, family therapy felt more like accusations and they over stepped ,we felt worse leaving than coming in , the therapists kept getting annoyed with us and made me feel… bad as a mother several times. Just never had an experience like that and it seemed very unprofessional.
The beds were crappy the shower heads didn't have any pressure most of the staff was disrespectful there was cameras in the room and they would still check on u through out the night and room 2 had no air. Conditioning… no windows the light was on the outside of the room I was surprised abt the food Mr Jimmy and Mr corey was always whipping it up and Mrs tabbitha was really nice and understanding
I went here in 2021 this place was amazing the food was awesome the staff was amazing! Multiple group activity’s & always had positivity going around!
Compassionate staff, calm atmosphere, and solid crisis support for youth and families. A great resource in the community.
This is coming from someone who stayed a week. Mr. Jimmy had amazing food and Mr. Corey, Ms. Tabitha was positive except for when she called a girls sister annoying because she was sick and Ms. Tabitha was making… excuses for why her sister couldn't talk. It was very hard to leave because I made great friends and an even better roommate. My roommate was always talking to everyone about anything and I loved it. Of course I missed my other friends but I missed her more. There was also a non-English speaker who they would only include if ms. Lydia was in. I also know Mr. Michael's grandson.
It was fun, the beds are crappie Mr jimmy is a crazy old man and yeah that’s it
If you need to get records quickly, don’t expect them to answer that line or call you back if you leave a voicemail.
i went last week and oh my god it was the best place i think i could have ever gone to i made amazing friendships, the food is amazing, many things to do my favorite is painting, and the staff are like family i have to… give a big shout out to mr jimmy, miss tabitha, mr scott, and everyone else they truly saved my life
I have mixed feelings for this review. First, we were at "The Yes" and the care was top quality. They told me XYZ about "The Calm" and reassured me as much as possible for doubts and fears for leaving my child at "The… Calm". They said they are the sister to this other company and work together. LaJune was a saving grace at The Yes. I will never forget her and the way she helped my child. When we arrived at CALM, it was okay. I had high hopes because these reviews and what "The YES" was like. Emily talked to us, they told us the classes/groups were optional, said they could write things on the board they were craving, they would grab it next time they go to the store. I was told that they would get therapy, have help to process emotions. They could come home in 7 days. Thank GOD they didn't have to stay 7 days. CALM doesn't update you about your child, you have to call and its bare minimum of information they give you. They advertise they can go outside for fresh air, and that's not true. They are not allowed Togo outside. A staff told my child they were gross and acted annoyed when they touched their drink. These kids are vulnerable and already going through a lot. Being negative towards them and downgrading is not appropriate. We were able to pick my child up earlier, blessing. My child saw things inside there they can't come back from. They said they watched them force an autistic kid to shower, saw someone who screamed and banged their head on the wall, said the staff laughed at these matters and often cussed openly/towards them. They said they made them attend a class (after I was told it was optional but sign this paper for the classes) for HIV/SEX ED. They said they talked about rape and all kinds of things. My child is 10. That was traumatizing for them. My child saw another child with marks around their neck from trying to hang themselves. CALM doesn't help. CALM was nothing more than a babysitter. They basically babysit your child for a week and call it therapy. When they were discharged, Simone didn't know anything about my child. She read from the papers and was very dry, she called the nurse to ask what they concluded, and the nurse said nothing because they were fine, basically. So then why did y'all make them stay this long? Staff/Counselors need training on these matters. They need to know how to handle these kids. My child didn't need to be there, and we thought getting her the right help, it was the wrong help and only made things slightly worse. We were forced to make them go, due to self-harming and thoughts of suicide. Reconsider other options. Maybe the CALM lost what it's all about, maybe they need to clean house with some staff.
This place is ABSOLUTELY amazing the staff the food the beds everything i just got out today couldn’t hold back tears still crying the BEST place you could ever go they treat you like a person the groups are fun they… teach to love and respect yourself and others they have a backyard free time paint and play video games i would recommend this place 💯 ps- mr jimmy and corey makes the best food!!
I was there for 7 days , when I was 14. They really are helpful people
Hii I went to the calm center just got back today and they really help I recommend you can paint play Mario cart and watch movies and Mr jimmy is the besttt Mr Cody though.. (don’t joke around him lolll) but my… experience was great u recommend!!
Came here for dresspsion and anitexy I couldn't thank you for helping me I had hated school due to issues and now schools is good for me now thank you Love ❤
They refuse to provide any assistance at all and just hang up when I was sharing my mental health issues. No compassion or professionalism at all.

Out of every place that I researched and took my traumatized bonus children too after everything that they went through as children, this place hands down is absolutely amazing in every way. My 14-year-old that was… having the roughest time, he was suicidal, he was super aggressive, he was self-sabotaging, he was just spiraling in every way because he didn't know how to do with his emotions. Being angry sad mad handling everything at once he was never allowed to express. He was very shy and he didn't know how to open up to strangers, but this place he is now on his second stay there. He absolutely loves it! He loves how many therapy groups there are, he loves the one on one sessions, everything about it he is completely positive about it I see a whole new child! He says he feels like he's finding himself and he said schools for himself, uses specific coping skills for all situations and triggers etc. This facility has massively changed his mindset and I could not be more grateful. The staff is incredible. They gave me my son back. I would highly recommend this place for any teen that is struggling in any way shape or form. From trauma, drugs, addiction, abuse all of the above. If your child will take in what they have to offer it will change their lives. I 100% would recommend this place in a heartbeat and have been to everyone that I know that has having similar issues with their teens. There are not enough facilities that take our children's mental health to consideration and give them what they actually need. Not just dope them up and send them on their way with an hour of therapy a week. Highly recommend. Amber (mom) Isaiah (client) 14 yrs
My friend is gonna go here in sum days and she will get help cuz she really needs it
I loved it
I was at the CALM center a few years ago and it was extremely beneficial to me. You meet all kinds of people and make new friends. You will learn new coping and grounding skills. They will make you good meals every day… and even have snacks in between. These people do care, you feel safe and comforted. They adjust to all kinds of needs and situations. It’s a healing place. I know people who wish to go back because of how at peace they felt there.
ive been to parkside and multiple other mental hospitals but this one is by far the best one the food is absolutely amazing you make a lot of friends mr jimmy and mr coreys food is the best and they are so real with you… the room was a little creepy but it wasnt bad
