Sux there
There are a few good staff members there that were really passionate and cared about their job and the residents(most notably Chris). Sadly, the majority who work there are very inexperienced in the mental health field… and quite frankly don’t give a heck about the residents going through a very fragile and difficult time in their lives. I remember a few occasions some staff members would sneak out to smoke weed in the back (remember this is a recovery center) and leave the residents unattended. We would go out for a quick cigarette while it was really cold outside and couldn’t get back in because there was no one at the desk to buzz us in. We’d need something from the front desk but no one was anywhere to be found when certain people were in shift. A few of them were even very rude and dismissive towards things I was going through. They just wanted to twiddle their thumbs and get through their shift with doing the minimal amount of work possible. I did find the groups they have really nice, and the food was very good. I really miss the food from there sometimes. I also met some people there that I’m still close to til this day. I’d still rather go here than Altru when I’m going through a mental health crisis.
