I was there in their crisis center a few years ago. It was ok, the staff was ok. I liked Julie, if she is still there. But at the end of my stay they had me go into a psych hospital, that I did not need. To make it… worse they sent me to Anderson (Gateway) and it is the absolute worst psych hospital on the planet. The doctor there accused me of lieing, when I was not. I have a long, documented history of mental health problems and they had the guts to accuse me of being a liar. I will die before I ever go there again. Either place.

Dr habib is inappropriate and rude. I wanted to discuss what medications I could take while nursing and he acted very weird towards me and wouldn’t discuss it. And my entire pregnancy he kept shaming me for needing to… take meds while pregnant. He also kept asking me personal questions like if I was gonna have more children. I also go here to get my suboxone and I really don’t recommend this place I went there today and sat for an hour while people who came in behind me were getting called in the room. I seriously cannot stand this plsce

I was a patient here about 4 or 5 years ago and decided to give therapy a try again since I desperately need it. I have been trying to get into therapy for TWO MONTHS by waking uo early and calling them on the days they… tell me to because they book out two days in advance. I don't know if it's because I'm transgender and gave them my chosen name and pronouns, or if they just aren't taking new clients and won't tell me, but I am in DESPERATE need of therapy because I've been through absolute hell and back and have recently lost a family friend by his own hand, and they won't even give the time of day or show empathy when I have told them that I need therapy for my mental stability. Either change your policy back to booking out a month in advance because the way it's set up is so stupid and it discourages people that aren't in an okay mindset away from getting the help they need. And I know you're just going to copy/paste an answer of "I'm sorry to hear that, we've reported your experience to the appropriate party", save it and actually do something about it.

This place is amazing period. I honestly don't believe any of the negative reviews, those are from people that do not have the ability to be pleased. The facilities are for helping people in need of the resources they… supply and the resources are excellent. The staff is more than amazing every time I walk through the door!! I'd love to give them 10 stars!

They lied and lied and lied and pressured me to go to a psych ward when i really didn't need to not to mention i was sent to a way worse facility than the one they had promised i would be going to. the main office never… picks up their phones and im done waiting a day to have my questions and complaints answered. im sure they have good intentions but they just suck so hard at their jobs.

The clinic itself is great. However, I cannot ever get someone from the medical records department to ever call me back or get my medical records sent to another doctor. It’s ridiculous. Also, they charge you for… smoking cessation discussions but NEVER talk about it during the visit. If they had, I’d have told them to stop & im not paying for it. This is called up-coding and is illegal.

I would like to say thank you to Cody for helping my teenager feel so comfortable. You have a real gift to help others and I'll be forever grateful. Please keep up the love. Also staff at Chestnut are so kind, I've… never been treated with such care & respect! Thank you all!

For a company that is supposed to be very supportive of mental health, Chestnut created more trauma than support. I had surprised my dad with a visit with grandkids, and I did not realize that my mother Marcia would be… home in a meeting with her group led by her supervisor Melissa H. I apologized for the intrusion; however, she wanted to show the grandkids to her boss and coworkers. This was supposed to be a “team bonding and building meeting”. The irritated and negative attitude that was shown towards my children will never be forgotten by myself, my kids, or mother. For a company that supports equality, mental health, and inclusion, they sure didn’t show it this day. Will never recommend someone seek support from them if this is who they put in charge of people caring for others.

This location has come along way compared to the way it was before. I’ve been coming here since 2022 and have had better progress and experience than I’ve had with any other facility in my part of Illinois/St. Louis.… Although the psychiatric program is horrible and the therapy program would be excellent if you weren’t spending more time getting to know a new therapist every 6 months instead of working on your issues. (so when another job position opens up and pays more these therapist up and leave). For the most part I don’t have anything bad to say about this place my doctor is Kevin Garner and he’s the best primary care Provider that I’ve ever had. He cares and if he can help me with anything he does are points me into the direction I’m supposed to go. I recommend this place for anything from drug addiction to the flu are just getting your meds filled. Just go find a therapist or a psychiatrist somewhere else!!!

I took my sobriety serious and the tools chestnut provided . I appreciate them I am now 5years going on 6 sober. I am also going to college for substance abuse counseling. They are good at what they do. You must be… ready to change for them to be able to help you! Nothing but love for this facility!!!

First off, if you are going to just copy/paste a “disheartened” don't bother. Instead, go and work on fixing the problems. This place is 100% policy over patients. I am a current patient and this is my real name. MAT,… perfect. Medical care, the best. Therapy, Awesome. Psychiatric (don't)care, Garbage, Go somewhere else. They don't care about you or anything you need or say, here's an SSRI, now on your way.

So aside from not getting called back, little to no support and a facility with minimal services for the veteran community it is probably wise to find another location for care and case management. Madison County… Veterans assistance commission, DAV, VFW and American Legion are far better equipped to provide these services. Also the VA offers a robust system across the river with far better outreach and resources.

I had a very great experience here today. Staff was very kind and helpful from the appointment process, to check in, to my actual appointment. Dr. Garner and the students working with him are very kind, knowledgeable,… and empathetic.

I am not too happy with the receptionists/people who answer the phone as they are not clear with the info they’re giving regarding when to call as a new patient etc. Very nice , but unclear with their information. My… provider however, Jaime Campbell, is why I am leaving this review. I’ve seen a few psychiatrists over the years and they always talk to you for 5 minutes, don’t seem to really care, and seem to solely just be there to write prescriptions and get you in and out of their office as soon as possible. Jaime is the exact opposite. She seems to care, is a great listener, and never rushes me off the phone. Thank you Jaime for all your help and for being a great doctor!
