Childrens Treatment Center – New Port Richey Detox and Rehab Services

The register shows Childrens Treatment Center – New Port Richey providing intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.

The record does not show integrated provision, so confirm this if it matters. The weekly time commitment varies considerably between providers, so establish it early rather than after admission.

Childrens Treatment Center – New Port Richey Address, Location and Contact Information

7809 Massachusetts Avenue, New Port Richey, Florida, 34653 is the address held. The city lies within Pasco County. The site also serves the surrounding area, and anyone traveling in should confirm the route before setting out. The practical question of getting to appointments week after week is worth thinking through at the outset.

It is worth calling first to confirm access, parking and the shape of a first visit. Where travel is difficult, ask whether an initial appointment can be held remotely. If the first call does not reach anyone, try again at a different time of day rather than assuming the service is closed.

I’m gonna start by saying not all bay care facilities are like this facility. This office is staffed with the most rudest individuals I have came in contact with in mental health. From the front desk to the rns, the… only thing good this office has is their “ Security detail” You know it’s bad with the security detail is coloring with children, but the therapist is telling them they can’t touch the 20 boxes of toys ands Play-Doh They have in their room for therapy…… When my daughter came to baycare She was two days out of a baker act facility. For intake with her therapist as well as her psychiatrist there was more other Client casesbrought up in the initial visit then the questions that were asked about my daughter….. I’m no expert, but I’m pretty sure you’re not supposed to talk about other clients in a session with another client. Then for her second visit, we were two minutes late, we sat in the lobby for 15 minutes just to tell us that her psych doctor Is with another client mind you this was my daughter’s appointment time. This place is embarrassing. My daughter was upset every time she had therapy with Marcy because she had to go hear about ANOTHER CLIENT. Get it together baycare.

I had a frustrating experience with the scheduling process for my stepdaughter, who is struggling and needs mental health support. The representative I spoke with after filling out the form talked too fast and didn’t… listen to my requests. I found her to be quite insensitive, especially considering that I’m part of her support system as a step-parent. The representative didn't even ask if the biological parent was involved or alive; instead, she quickly dismissed my role and basically told me that I couldn't make an appointment. As a nurse in the healthcare field, I believe compassion and effective communication are crucial in this line of work. If a team member isn’t equipped with good customer service skills and the necessary sensitivity, they might not be suited for a role in mental health. I hope my feedback will help this organization improve their services for future clients and their families.

I'm doing so much better on my own now but last year when I went to this place for help, Doctor Trice gave me medication without parental consent. Nurse Amy was always rude and had a nasty attitude for really no good… reason at all. Mr. Davi, Mr. Sal, and Ms. Jaz kept it real for me and I will always genuinely appreciate that. My therapist (can't remember her name, I just remember she had glasses), Doctor Trice, and Megan (the woman who did intakes) decided to kick me out of the program. They played it as if I made "no progress" but I was only in there for a month ! BayCare sucks, and if you're looking for a place that will really provide you the care and help that you NEED, this place is not it .

I've left multiple complaints with "management" with no fix. I've been verbally abused multiple times. And when asked where I can physically report these people I've been given no information or action. If you can avoid… this place I would advise to do so. I wash I could leave a negative star because that's what it's worth

My daughter is autistic and relies on her meds to function. Baycare has a new Psychologist who refused to refill her meds until she can see her. Then she schedules an appointment for one month past her medications… running out?!? They refuse to take my calls and do not seem to be bothered about my daughter's mental health. Key words continuity of treatment and patients rights, both of which are possible malpractice issues. Do you even see the liability? I am a paying patient with insurance, they do so much free government work that they forget. Unfortunately there are no other options right now so my daughter pays the price. Good job BayCare. If you wont to respond look up my name in your records. But why start now.

Currently removing my child from services here. She has been going for the last month or so to both therapy and psychiatry. Unfortunately, it was made clear that my child is just a number to them. They don't actually… care. The psychiatrist is out sick so because nobody will return my calls or even help me when I went there today, my child has no medication. Sad and unprofessional. No communication and horrible phone system that only sends you to a voice-mail and it doesn't matter how many voice-mails you leave. Don't know when someone will return the call as the call still hasn't been returned.

In March 2022 I paid privately for an extensive neuropsychological evaluation for my 12 yo son who was diagnosed with ADHD. The Neuropsychiatrist recommended that he start meds ASAP (along with several other… recommendations that we started immediately). I came to this provider with the report in hand. We have now been to 4 appointments completed the labs, EKG and had his primary clear him for meds as requested. Today, Dr. Minto, who is leaving the company, refused to prescribe, blamed her staff for not giving her any of the five messages that I left over the last week and a half and was snarky when I said his Primary had cleared him for meds, her response was "Well, is the Primary going to prescribe then?" After a very typical 2 hour wait per appointment and 5 months after receiving an 18 page report from a highly trained physician in this field, we are no closer to getting my son the treatment he needs. In addition, we attempted to use this facility for my son's counseling and after matching with the counselor and attempting to make follow up appointments, the availability to actually see the counselor is every 1 -2 months. As a social worker myself, I can tell you that is not even close to appropriate for adolescent therapy. As a mother and a mental health professional, I am sad that these are the types of services considered acceptable and available to our children in need.

Absolutely HORRIBLE. Trying to call and make an appointment for an existing patient is nearly impossible. When it was time for my sons last review we had called for a week straight and had to keep him out of school… because he couldn't go without his medications. I have now been calling daily for 2 weeks and not a single person has returned my phone call. EDIT: Customer service responded below with a link that doesn't even include this location in the options. And it will not let me continue with a complaint until that is put in. AND STILL no return call from the center. 2nd Update: finally made an appointment the day of they called me to canceled it and reschedule it for another 2 weeks out (so he’s be without medication for over a month) the provider called out. Would not bridge his medication. We have now changed providers.

If your looking for customer service, communication or reliability look elseware. If you are an existing client and can get through on the phone, just call as a new client and they will surly answer.

This behavioral facility medical staff (Dr.Minto) uses intimidation, coercion and threats of DCF if you dont allow her to medicate youre child as she(Dr.Minto) sees fit even if you disagtee with or types of medication… and its concerning side affects and continously trying up dosage regardless of effectiveness on a child especially when the diagnosis is over video chat . This doctor wants to over medicate youre child and then after 10 medication appointments in 6-8months they only provide 1 counseling appt. Pretty sure it should be the other way around ! They seem to have the inability to schedule and keep counseling appointments but sure are johnny on the spot when it comes to medication appointments. This doctor is basically a drug dealer with a license she dosent care about your kid only how much medication she can prescribe and bill insurance ..Posted by father of patient using GF phone

We had an appointment with our sons Psychiatrist today and expressed the trouble he was having in school and asked about why he still hasn't been set up for counseling and why the meds they are giving aren't working and… instead of trying to help us they threatened to call DCFS on us because they felt our story wasn't adding up for them all we want is help for our suffering child.

My son is 6 years old and was being seen by Baycare. I expressed how I feel like my son wasn’t getting the help he needed and said I was going to look for a second opinion. There was no other providers around my area so… I had no choice but to stay. But because I expressed my feelings the Dr REFUSED to see my 6 year old. She also said no other dr will be seeing him either. Hospital trip and MRT and they still refused to see me son who clearly needed help. This place sucks GO ELSE WHERE

Had to come in to make an appointment. During a pandemic how do you not do this over the phone or online being apart if something so big as Baycare. Then had to wait FOREVER to get helped. They need more than 1 front… desk person for how busy they were.

They have failed my children. They show that they care more about money than the well-being of their patience. They do not keep promises that they make and they set my kids up for failure

Great Drs. and counselors!! Dr.Kuhn and Alan Koths are wonderful!! They are kind and caring and really listen when discussing my child's behavior or treatment!! My son actually looks forward to his bi-weekly visits. I… would definitely recommend treatment to anyone that's little one is having behavioral issues!! The entire staff is awesome, from the girls at the front desk to the counselors and Drs. I can't say enough good and my son had really made a complete turn around!! There wasn't a day that went by that I didn't receive negative comments and feedback from his teacher's last year to being told that kids like him are the reason his teacher started teaching!! He's like a whole other child this year!!

I've been coming here for over 5 years now. The people who work there are the best at what they do, are very friendly and always take time to listen to your concerns. I've never felt rushed here like I do at other… doctors offices. Baycare works with the families and the children get the best care ever.

Beautiful. I've been going here for a bit over two years now, and plan to stay here as long as I can. Going into the building, there's a TV, free wifi, magazines, toys and the like. The receptionists are so kind,… they're understanding and sweet- Maddie is my personal favorite! :D The psychiatrists and therapists alike here are great, never tried to drug me up- always making sure I'm on the least meds possible, and the right ones at that. On the therapist end, mine has been with me for these two years, and all the other ones I've had (At least 8 in all honesty) could never measure up. Terry is fantastic, he's gotten me through so much. Generally, this is a fantastic place, and I hope everyone who needs it has the opportunity to get the help they offer.

Before I start I want to state that I absolutely love my daughter's therapist and the therapists we have had in the past. They are phenomenal at their work and seem to really care about their patients. That being said,… I have been with BayCare Behavioral Health for my daughter for about 4 years now. The front desk has never changed. They are, at best, short and blunt. Very unpleasant to speak with. It is near impossible to get them on the phone. I have left two messages over the course of 2 days, and have heard nothing. Either change out the front desk staff or get some more hired hands to manage the volume of calls and clients. The front desk is the first thing that people encounter, and it can make the difference between clients staying or finding another site. If I didn't love my daughter's therapist as much as I do, I would have walked away already.

I cannot believe how rude the front staff/receptionists are. It's amazing to me they allow such rude and unpleasant people to work In a mental health care facility especially working with children. The one therapist my… child has seen is wonderful but at this point I leave so angry because of the nasty women up front I'm probably just going to have to switch to another clinic. It's really sad but they are just awful!

Baycare Behavioral Health SIPP was an incredible program for my child to be in. The staff was very caring and always communicated with me. The therapist was amazing and really down to Earth. The psychiatrist got my… child off all unnecessary medication and on the right doze of the right medication. The children are always doing activities and participate in school during the week.
