Our family has had a deeply disappointing experience with this VA. Poor communication and lack of diagnosis or helpful advice has been our experience for the past month.

I went into the emergency room mental health center at the VA in Georgia I told them the truth about what I was feeling. I had suicidal thoughts it was like I wanted to give up. The VA and the therapist have helped me… focus on the present not the pass trauma like I was doing every day. Focusing on today and the present moment is important and what you give your attention too is also vital in this process. I know the VA ain’t perfect but this score goes to my team of doctors and everyone at VA Ft.Thomas. I appreciate the help. I’m still waiting for a disability rating but until then I’ll keep in touch with my team.

Service Connected PTSD on file. With documents to back everything up. Was referred here from the VA Healthcare system. Been trying to get mental health help from the VA since 2021. It's now 2025. I was referred here.… Was told I'd get a call on 48 hours. 1 week went by. I called them. Got sent to a voicemail after providing my information. Left voicemail. Missed 1 call requesting a callback. Called back within 1 hour. Got the voicemail again. Have left 5 voicemail since. Received a letter saying they have been trying to reach me and if they do not hear from me in 11 days I'll be removed from the program. Have left several voicemails since the letter. Tried again to call today and got a busy signal. I'm doing my best to remain composed. And I hate to sound entitled. But the VA owes me help. I kept up with my end of the deal now it's time for you to keep up on yours.

Have called 4 times on 2 different days & I am hung up on everytime. The fith call was answered & resolved. Make sure to ask for names at the beginning of every interaction, this is unacceptable. EDIT: it has been… another attempt to make an appointment & can't get any line to answer their phone.

It took 18 months to get an appointment (VA red tape). Saw three doctors. 1. Intake: An hour of being told all the things they CAN NOT do to help you. You pick your treatment plan and hope it's correct. 2. Evaluation:… They think everyone is there for disability money and not treatment. Mine took 15mins-20mins. 3. Treatment: This was the first doctor who actually tried to help. I think if she didn't have to follow all the BS protocol designed to silence and shame veterans, I might have received at least a little help. Also, they have zero information about your career/deployments, medications, service records. Really they know nothing about you, your situation, or how to help. Best of luck to my brothers and sisters out there who have to come here.

Impossible to schedule appointments via phone, leave detailed messages, call multiple times and never receive a call or talk to a person. Chiropractor is great and covered with VA but have had zero success making… contact.

Poor management. I'm listening to them. Nurse staff if mediocre. When they make a mistake it's ok. When I do. So much for that... I do not recommend.
