About Circles of Hope Psychotherapy and – Washington

Circles of Hope Psychotherapy and operates from 3000 Connecticut Avenue NW in Washington. The site sits in District of Columbia County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. The practical catchment runs wider than the city limits, taking in people who travel in rather than finding care on their doorstep.

Intensive outpatient and outpatient care are delivered here, alongside telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Treatment Services at Circles of Hope Psychotherapy and

Intensive outpatient and outpatient care run to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers. Assessment decides the level of care, so ask what that involves and how quickly it can happen.

Beware of the cost. It is not clearly stated upfront. They will tell you what they need to in order to get you in the plane. The use “Patient Brokers” who get referral fees for placing clients in the facility. It’s… about $5,000 per day to be there. Plus, you will be charged $5,000 to go to the ER as soon as you get there to get medically cleared. And random UAs are $5,500 a piece. I was encouraged to get a sponsor and go to meetings with him, which I did. random UAs administered when I returned (twice) charged $5,500 each Beware. It’s a scam. Don’t believe the “yea, your insurance covers you. You’ll only be required to pay your deductible” the patient brokers tell you web you call the random 800 number to get help. I have talked to several fellow clients and we all got the same or very similar version of things before, during and after four stays. Invoices in the 10s of thousands.

New to the whole therapy process, however, Dr. Wheeler and and Mrs. Wheeler are making me feel like I can be healed. Dr. Wheeler shows empathy and is truly brutally honest, which is what you expect from a great… therapist. I recommend Circle of Hope to anyone who has lost their way. So far, I'm slowly but surely coming back around to who I once was. I am grateful for them and their dedication to their profession and their cause..
