It’s hard to say how it was when I first got here in an honest way, I was not in a great headspace. I also don’t know what the ever changing make-up of the patients will bring for you. But the staff, from medical,… psych, case management, food, they treated me well and love to help people. They do what they can for you and understand where you’ve been. This isn’t my first rodeo, and this is in the top three places. Any place is what you make of it, but there’s fish and a lake, the calm quiet of nature. I have my complaints of course, like no coffee till 7am… huge portions three times a day, while delicious, can’t be broken up, ‘workout equipment’ is a strong word. I would come back, but honestly they gave me amazing knowledge and skills so I’m not thinking I’ll have to.
Exceptional therapy and treatment from Clearbrook.
Both of my sons have participated in treatment at Clearbrook. I could not say enough about the staff that worked with them. I only wish I could remember their names but some that come to mind are Julia and Rob H. I… really appreciate everyone on their case management team! The follow up and aftercare planning is outstanding! My sons feel the same and are doing very well. Thank you to all staff! You all deserve a raise immediately!
This experience was very rewarding for me and my future. I learned more about myself here than before attending. Tony, Ann and the entire staff were very professional and educated. Would recommend to others
Clearbrook MA provides a well rounded service in substance abuse and mental health that sets the foundation for a better recovery. Many of the staff are in recovery themselves which provides a real life example to learn… from. The treatment center provides a comfortable and enriching environment including lounge rooms, fountain pond with walking trail and a gym to keep clients enriched. If clients come to Clearbrook with an open heart and open mind, they will certainly reap the benefits of treatment.
I feel that my time at Clearbrook put me a great path to recovery when I discharged. I would like to personally thank the medical staff for being tremendously helpful with all questions and medical needs that I had. The… facilitators who brought a passion, motivation and education to all of their groups. Special thanks to Kate, Sarah, Tricia, Rob and Rebecca for the knowledge they provided and the support they provided during the groups and after groups when I needed to get through a difficult group. Thanks to my therapist James for asking the tough questions when I didn’t want to talk about past traumas. I would like thank all the recovery support specialists who went above and beyond their job description, especially Alberto and Jackie. They would sit and listen on the rough days in between groups and give excellent advice. I want to give a special thanks to Tony and Ann for saving my life by having a vision and creating this first responder unit. They are genuinely the two most caring individuals I have ever met. Also thanks to all the other people who impacted my stay at Clearbrook who I didn’t mention.
Sam was great and very helpful.
Clearbrook is a awesome place to go and if you need mental health and dextox great staff great nurses and great food.
Hands down, this place is was like a second home and all the people and staff became a second family to me. Also, the classes and tools they provided me made me feel empowered to go back into the world with confidence… and perseverance. I love Clearbrook and I will miss the time that I spent there.
A Truly Life-Changing Experience This isn’t my first experience with a rehabilitation program, and honestly, I went in assuming they were all pretty much the same. I was quickly proven wrong. From the beginning, I was… incredibly impressed by the professionalism, compassion, and genuine support I received from my case manager, Destiny, and my therapist, Kelsey. They made the entire process feel comfortable and stress-free, which allowed me to focus on the most important thing: myself and the work I needed to do for my recovery. Their dedication and support made a real difference in my experience. I never felt judged or like just another person going through a program. I felt heard, respected, and genuinely cared for. I will be forever grateful for my time at Clearbrook Massachusetts and for the people who helped make this chapter of my life such a meaningful one. I highly recommend Clearbrook to anyone who is ready to make a positive change in their life.
Clear brook recovery first responder program is a great program from Ann and Tony and the staff do a great job. The program truly care who comes through the doors. Ann and Tony make you feel like you’re part of a family.
My experience at Clearbrook was great! All the staff was amazing especially Tony, Ann, Jackie, Alberto, Tess, Eric, Jaqueline Fletcher, and many more. The First Responder program is unbelievable. If you need the help,… this is the place to be.
Clearbrook changes my out look on life and how to manage sober living moving forward. I recommend this program to anyone who needs help.
This facility is great! Well organized and the staff is great. I had a very good experience and feel very confident that I will succeed in my recovery when I get home. I highly recommend this program if you have… substance abuse or mental health issues..
My case manager destiny was a huge help!
Wonderful experience My case manager destiny and my therapist Alexis are so awesome this program totally works met a lot of new friends and wonderful people
Every mental health place has its own ups and downs, but this place overall is great! They have their own mental health track, and the people are great.
I have been to too many treatment facilities and I left with my strength in recovery for SUD's, never mental health issues which are the stem of my relapses. I will admit to over 50 years of drug abuse, but never… focused on my mental health which is the core of my relapses. I have learned how to maintain my stability for anxiety, depression, anger, and being overwhelmed which is where it starts. The staff all the way from the head to the tech have been looking out for my well being above and beyond. Thanks Clearbrook, oh yeah the food was great and I gained 38 pounds to prove it. I will see you after starting my new chapter. Skip Arthur McDonald
Do not ever go here or send anyone here. First of all, it’s full of garbage…literally. The pond is filthy and the place is filthy. There is garbage strewn about everywhere. Secondly, you don’t meet with anyone for… therapy. Johnathan, the therapist, meets with you for 29 minutes a week and spends the whole time convincing you to stay there. Sam, the caseworker, does nothing. Donna, a nurse, abuses patients mentally and physically (I watched another client have an asthma attack as Donna laughed at her and told her to wait for her inhaler). Also, thsy steal your stuff, especially if you leave early. It’s awful. Every client there was unhappy and felt stuck. Never go there or send anyone you love to this nightmare of a place. They will tell you your insurance covers the stay, then hit you with out of pocket expenses. Jess, the lead tech, screams at adults for lining up for meals. I’ve spent all night reaching out to get my stuff only tk be connected to “Frances” who will not let you talk to anyone and keeps redirecting your calls to him. It’s an awful, horrible, filthy place and I’m reporting them to the Massachussetts department of
I am writing this as the spouse of someone who recently completed three weeks of treatment at Clearbrook for severe depression. When my wife experienced a major depressive episode, she realized she needed a much higher… level of care than her outpatient program could provide. Like many families entering the mental health system for the first time, we found ourselves trying to navigate the overwhelming world of treatment centers. We chose Clearbrook because it felt safe, had strong reviews, accepted our insurance, and was located in a beautiful wooded setting that appealed to my wife, who loves being outdoors. From our very first phone call to the Banyan admissions team, everyone was kind, patient, and willing to answer our many questions. They made what could have been an overwhelming process much easier. My wife was admitted on a Saturday, and when I visited her the next day, she worried the program might not be the right fit. She felt the weekend programming wasn't as intensive as she had hoped. Thankfully, she decided to stay through the week, and that turned out to be one of the best decisions she could have made. Once the weekday programming began, Clearbrook provided exactly the depth of care she had been searching for. The combination of group therapy, individual therapy, medication management, and structured daily programming proved to be transformative. She also built friendships with others in the program that I believe will last a lifetime. One thing that especially stood out was the quality of the therapy. My wife has been in counseling for much of her life, yet she told me her first individual therapy session at Clearbrook was the best therapy session she had ever experienced. Looking back, she also realized the lighter weekend schedule was intentional. After experiencing how emotionally demanding the weekdays were, she appreciated having time to rest and process everything she was learning. Although Clearbrook treats both substance use disorders and mental health conditions, they absolutely met my wife's needs for depression treatment. One thing we learned throughout this process is that insurance-covered residential programs focused solely on depression are surprisingly difficult to find. While patients arrive with different diagnoses, there is tremendous overlap in the skills, coping strategies, and support that help people recover. I also want to give special recognition to Keith on the Banyan staff. He reached out to check on me as a spouse, shared resources for caregivers, maintained outstanding communication throughout my wife's stay, and even gave me his personal cell phone number if I needed anything. That level of compassion meant more than he probably realizes. If I had one criticism, it would be the limited communication between patients and their families. I understand this is intentional so patients can focus on treatment, but it was still one of the hardest parts as a spouse. We usually spoke once a day for 5–15 minutes by landline, patients had phone access only twice a week for texting and email, and visitation was limited to one 90-minute visit each week. We managed, but I would have appreciated a little more opportunity to stay connected. Overall, I would give Clearbrook an A. No treatment center is perfect, but they provided compassionate, professional, and life-changing care during one of the most difficult periods of our lives. I would absolutely recommend Clearbrook to anyone seeking a higher level of treatment for depression, other mental health challenges, or substance use disorders.
Great experience! Great staff, they help with everything they can. Highly recommended.
My experience at Clearbrook was better than I could have ever expected. The staff here at Clearbrook made me feel welcome and comfortable during my time here. I fell confident that I have learned the tools needed to be… successful during my recovery journey moving forward. Shout out to the staff at the First Responders Program/C3! Your guys are amazing!
Like to start with thanking everyone at Clear Brook for there hospitality and professionalism. I wasn't sure what to expect when I arrived here ..but the staff and others made it safe and comfortable quickly ,it made it… easier to focus on the plan ahead. I would recommend Clearbrook to anyone in need , to want change in life . I'd like to give special thanks to Alberto for being very helpful and down to earth a true gentleman , Jackie is a sweetheart of a person very positive , willing to talk to you at anytime she was helpful , really attentive to our needs. James my therapist strong minded human being , I have nothing but respect for him ..a true inspiration , very knowledgeable and understanding. And RSS Tess I thank for remembering me one particular evening I didn't make it to dinner , and was kind enough to bring me dinner the small things , I appreciate it . Thank you to everyone it has been a Great and educational experience!
Walking into residential treatment was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but leaving Clearbrook, I realized how much I had grown. Recovery isn’t easy, and there were difficult days, but the people here truly… made a lasting impact on my life. The RSS staff, specifically, Tess, Jackie, and Angela, deserve so much recognition. They treated me with kindness, patience, and genuine respect every single day. Whether I needed encouragement, someone to listen, or simply a smile during a difficult moment, they consistently showed they cared. They helped make what could have been an overwhelming experience feel safe and supportive. Tess went above and beyond to advocate for me and my needs while here. She truly is one of the brightest and compassionate people here! The nursing staff, Merri, Maryann, and Donna were absolutely wonderful. They were knowledgeable, compassionate, and always willing to take the time to answer questions or explain things. I never felt like “just another patient.” They treated me like a person, and that meant more than they probably realize. Maryann is incredibly patient brings a wonderful personality and ability to relate to patients so they feel safe. The group facilitators, Tricia, Sarah, and Alexis led groups that were engaging, educational, and practical. They fostered an environment where people felt comfortable participating and learning without judgment. I left with coping skills and insights that I know I’ll continue using long after discharge. My case manager, Harry, was fantastic throughout the discharge process. He was organized, responsive, and helped coordinate everything I needed for a smooth transition to the next step in my recovery. Knowing someone was advocating for me and helping connect the pieces brought a lot of reassurance during an important transition. I especially want to thank my individual therapist, Alexis. She was truly exceptional. She combined professionalism, clinical expertise, compassion, humor, and empathy in a way that made therapy feel both safe and meaningful. She knew when to gently challenge me, when to simply sit with me, and when a little humor could make an incredibly difficult day feel lighter. I always felt heard, respected, and understood. She has a remarkable ability to build trust, and I left treatment with a stronger understanding of myself because of the work we did together. I’m also grateful that the program recognized my trauma history and met me with compassion rather than judgment. That made a tremendous difference in my willingness to engage in treatment. A special thank you to Tony and Ann for accepting me into the first responder program where I felt safe to learn, process, and explore strengths and barriers to my recovery. No program is perfect, but what sets Clearbrook apart is its people working with patients directly. All the people mentioned above provided amazing care and truly deserve to be recognized and compensated for their care. They helped me through one of the most vulnerable seasons of my life and gave me the tools, confidence, and hope to continue my recovery. I will always be grateful for the care I received and would absolutely recommend Clearbrook to anyone looking for a compassionate, supportive, and trauma-informed residential treatment program.
Alberto and Jackie went above and beyond as RSS staff. Alberto and Jackie were both professional, kind, caring and down to earth. Group Fac. Betty helped guide me through sobriety and Struggling Well. James my therapist… provided me with a wealth of knowledge and perspective to grow throughout my time there. Tony the director of the facility was personable, professional and caring. Tony’s everyday presence in the First Responder program showed his leadership and dedication to serve. Ann, a case manager played a pivotal role in my time there helping me on a weekly basis with her knowledge, and coordination skills. Ann was not in fact my case manager but treated me as if I was one of her own clients! Shout out to Sam my case manager who played a roll in my long term goals as well!
I had an exceptional experience at Clearbrook. The staff was professional, compassionate, and highly knowledgeable. The First Responder Program is truly top-notch and provides an environment where first responders can… focus on healing alongside peers who understand the unique challenges of the profession. A special thank you to Alberto, Jackie, and Eric, who were outstanding technicians and consistently went above and beyond to support everyone in the program. James, Betty, and Tricia led excellent group sessions and discussions that were insightful, engaging, and provided practical tools I can use moving forward. Because of my time at Clearbrook, I feel much better equipped to face life’s challenges, and create a healthier work-life balance. I highly recommend Clearbrook to any first responder or individual seeking quality treatment in a supportive and professional environment.
Clearbrook creates a safe, comfortable, encouraging and healing environment. A great place to reset your body & mind while learning new ways to mindfully return to every day life. There are many amazing workers here who… care about where you're coming from and moreover where you ar going. Thanks.
