About Community Medical Services – Grand Forks

Community Medical Services operates from 2424 32nd Avenue South in Grand Forks. The site sits in Grand Forks County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. The practical catchment runs wider than the city limits, taking in people who travel in rather than finding care on their doorstep.

Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment, an opioid treatment program and telehealth appointments. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Treatment Services at Community Medical Services

Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Buprenorphine and methadone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Assessment decides the level of care, so ask what that involves and how quickly it can happen.

The Ladies at CMS are so very helpful and appreciated. They do an outstanding job, and will help you succeed in your recovery. The caveat being, you must want the help, and must want to succeed in your recovery. I have… seen other recovery places, and this one actually works with you to get you the help you need. These ladies are so very supportive, and never hold anything against you.

I’ve been going here for over a year now and out of all the different clinics I’ve been too this one is the best, most welcoming and such a nice group of people. I’ve never been treated unfairly, and they are all really… good at their jobs. They remind you of your appointments, so you don’t miss any. I’m happy to come into the clinic with such amazing staff!

I love the team of caregivers and the entire staff at the grand forks ND office. Especially the nurse. Shes the kindest person and compassionate about treating me with respect and support. I would highly recommend this… clinic for anyone who is ready to get help for their recovery.

The worst people working there so unprofessional they don’t care about anybody’s recovery. I’ve brought a family member they’re sober and they try punish them for having clean UA and have them come in every day for… testing when people fail UA every single time they go there and they get to go triweekly but somebody goes there hasn’t failed one UA one time has to go every day has to sit for 20 minutes to be monitored so they don’t puke it up and saying it’s not they’re just the worst treatment facility and methadone provider in the country and I’m gonna keep spreading this message until they either hire new people or fire. The people that are the problems. Everyone in the NA community now knows about Vanessa and the way she handles clients and now Grand Forks NA members in Fargo. Any members are going to keep petitioning because they are the worst treatment center or facility in the country hands-down
