Community Psychiatric Institute – East Orange Detox and Rehab Services

Recorded services at Community Psychiatric Institute – East Orange are intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Sessions follow a set timetable while people keep living at home. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.

The listing records a single focus rather than combined treatment, so anyone needing both should confirm what is available. Medication-assisted treatment combines approved medication with counseling and clinical review. The weekly time commitment varies considerably between providers, so establish it early rather than after admission.

Edited in response to the reply of this facility :.Transportation dropped of my father infront of the building ,we were not allowed to walk in .We were stopped before we could walk in and someone waving their hands… telling us not to enter .You were not met with profanity because we were not allowed to step in the building ,react or even respond when told not to come in.The management automatically rushed to the front of the doors and said “I’m Not even going to waste my time ,we cannot take someone like him here ,it’s a hippa violation “.i guess they used that as the excuse for not allowing a handicapped man on a wheelchair to receive services in this location .But when a client has a power of attorney as their caregiver ,they are covered by the hippa law.It would’ve been professional and polite to apologize for you’re employers mishave. My father was discriminated for being a disabled Hispanic man. If I can give it 0 stars I would . .UNPROFFESSIONAL.From the outside look of the exterior ,the place looks like It needs alot of constructional work,it feels unsafe.I was greeted by a young man with a ski mask standing on the door ,if he was an employee ,that was a very unprofessional attire ,if he is a client ,they should not allow someone to stand over the patients waking in and inappropriately intimidate them.I booked an appointment and expressed my father health and expectations for appointment over the phone explaining in detail he’s health records . I took an hour drive to the facility with my dad in a wheelchair and was turned away because of misinformation on the facility part.I could’ve been told over the phone.I was rudely confronted by an elder women with a colorful wig and was told not to step in the building because they could not take my father as a client .we did not receive an apology for their mishave .She kept ranting about “hppa law “ .I think the staff including herself needs more training on health facility laws because as my father ‘s power of attorney I am covered over the hppa law to be present during he’s psychiatrist and doctor sessions .I felt very disappointed this this location and advice others not to go.This facility needs a lot of work with customer service .my father is a disabled man who has gone through a lot in the past years ,he didn’t deserve to be treated in such way .There in a way that you can speak to others during a miscommunication and we were treated disgusting .

CPI has an ongoing ,unrelenting problem with bedbugs. My family member has been a client there for one year and has bedbugs 3 times that were brought back to the group home where she resides. There needs to be daily… visual checks of the clients arms and lower legs, as many clients seem to be not aware they have them. Not an easy task to eradicate, but something needs to be done! It's interfering with the families and clients quality of life . We're concerned of spreading them to our own home!
