About Community Violence Intervention Center – Grand Forks
Community Violence Intervention Center operates from 211 South 4th Street in Grand Forks. The site sits in Grand Forks County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. The practical catchment runs wider than the city limits, taking in people who travel in rather than finding care on their doorstep.
Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Treatment Services at Community Violence Intervention Center
Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.
Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers. Assessment decides the level of care, so ask what that involves and how quickly it can happen.

They engaged in. Facilitated stalking towards victims of sexual assault And harassment I was told I was only having problems with my neighbors who are sexually harassing me with unwanted touching and monitoring
The place is discriminatory. How could you deny service to a man that was provided a Marsy's Card BY POLICE! You all should be ashamed of yourselves and I’m not stopping here reporting the location. HOW DISGUSTING
This place is awesome so nice
They have come up with all this new rules to push people out. Everytime we go to the front desk, we get some kind of bad behavior from the receptionist. The therapist we see there, pretend like she cares but she… doesn't. Let see how this coming year will be like.
All of the staff are amazing! The receptionists are always polite and sweet, the advocates are very understanding and supportive, and the legal department is very knowledgeable and effective in handling your case. I… couldn’t have found a better attorney. They made me feel a lot more safe and hopeful after my situation with my abuser. Thank you to everyone there for guiding me through this tough situation.
Great place to go to when you are in a bad relationship or one where you can go to in order for emotional support or help getting out of a bad relationship. They will help with protection orders and have trauma groups… to attend. They have the kids first program where you can have the other parent safely visit the kids in a controlled environment
Helpful staff, very helpful.
Because they love doing good and helping everyone
Very helpful place for a family in crisis. Caring counselors!! Lots of resources.
I'm not sure when I was at this Community Violence place. So I'll post this beautiful picture that is of no relation, or is it? Just for today, I practiced nonviolence in the community by staying Clean and Sober… (Serene). I am a violent man when I use drugs or drink alcohol. I am hard on the planet, cars, fences, and the community. Most importantly, I was violent with the woman I dated and married. You see, it's the kids, that hurts the most. Being ripped out of their lives by going to prison, and doing all sorts of dastardly deeds carries a heavy toll. Especially, on their precious little hearts, souls, and minds. In an effort to avoid morbid reflection, I'll just pause, and say thank you to an All Loving and Merciful God who continues to provide restoration in my life, but more importantly the lives of my victims.
In this world today, when we need a place of refuge, I know I can reach out and someone is there. Thanks
