Duncan Regional Hospital Inc – Duncan Detox and Rehab Services

Treatment at Duncan Regional Hospital Inc – Duncan covers residential treatment, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. It is reasonable to ask how progress is reviewed and by whom.

The focus here is on one side rather than combined treatment, so anyone needing both should confirm what is available. Ask whether family can be involved and at what stage. Establishing what happens after the program ends is worth doing early.

They were very misinformed about my problem concerning the lap-band that is installed in my gut and have no idea about the dangers of it cutting into your stomach or intestines. They made me go home in extreme pain… which is how I still remain. They tried to bs me which made my trust fly out the window.

Kindness and medical knowledge make a powerful treatment. I had forgotten how comfortable treatment could be. DRH ER staff outshines other facilities in Oklahoma. Please give them my thanks.

They came and said they are gonna clean room 16 and then come get her, a nurse comes out and calls a name a few times nobody answered to it so then she called my granddaughter in and put her in room 1 needles to say we got out of there a little before 2am. This was a bad experience on Saturday at 5:15 PM at DRH emergency room. Taylor was my PA and she looked at the wounds. Bottle of sparkling mineral water exploded and glass went everywhere and got me in the legs on the… shins. I was bleeding profusely prior to the ER. Cut on left leg was about 1/8 inch wide and 7/8 inch long. It was a very deep dash . Taylor, the PA said she could put Steri-Strips on it or do stitches. I’ve been in the hospital up to 32 days but I’ve never had a cut a deep gash like this one. She asked me what do you wanna do. I said well you’re the PA you need to make that decision. Well I could do Steri-Strips but they might come off. Of course the stitches could burst open too so what do you wanna do? because it had bled so much and was such a wide gash I was concerned about the pain and let her know but she ask again. What do you want to do. I said you’re the PA, which would be better? Of course, stitches would be better because it was wide. I told her stitches and she said OK and left the room. There was hardly anyone in the ER. Most employees were sitting around in groups talking and she didn’t come back for over an hour. I went out and asked at the nurses station. Where was Taylor the PA they didn’t know. She came in shortly after and said we do the stitches, but she still didn’t do them at that time she left again. Finally after another 30 minutes or so she came back and put in two stitches wide, and it was bleeding profusely from both ends. My neighbor that brought me said don’t you think it needs additional stitches and she said well I could put one right there so she did and started to leave and it still needed another stitch but I said am I done and she said oh yeah they’ll come in and bring your paperwork. 1245 minutes later I still didn’t have any paperwork and all the employees were still out there congregating in groups so I walked out, and I simply said “ I am finished and if you have papers for me, you need to bring them because I’m leaving.” Hey girl, said they’re on the computer and ready and I thought well bring them in. So a lady brought him in and was very Kurt with me and handed me the papers and my neighbor and I left. That makes me not want to ever use your ER and I do try to avoid it however, all the urgent meds were closed due to the holiday. I took into consideration that it was a holiday and people didn’t want to work, but this was a serious injury. My friend who is a PA called and asked if I would like her to come over because I did post this on Facebook and I never rant on Facebook. It was a gentle rant, but I was extremely unhappy. Four hours and I need help because I’m bleeding until 1 o’clock in the morning. I saw my friend Sunday morning, the PA and the wound was cleaned and additional Steri-Strips were put on it. I have an appointment with my GP in a few days. I can’t imagine being billed for this unfortunate visit to your ER. I’m sorry I can’t say anything good but it was a bad experience.
