Easterseals Blake Foundation – Yuma

I have been attempting to schedule a new patient appt for the past few months and have not received any returned calls despite multiple phone calls and voice messages. It has been so difficult accessing any care that my… child even got a diagnosis through a different provider out in Phoenix in less time that it’s taken them to return my calls or schedule us here. The front staff needs to work on this issue.

This place needs to be checked and educated... be careful they are not friendly

Their communication and organization for families is awful. We got my son a referral for services, they scheduled us an intake time. They told me 2:30 on a certain day. We pull my son from school for this appointment… just for them to tell us they put him in at 2, even though they told us 2:30. Which meant a missed appointment. They reschedule us for the following week. No biggie but another day my son is missing school. We get told they cant do normal therapy for my son because hes autistic and needs to do a family therapy, again no biggie. They schedule us for today at 2:00. Gave us an appointment card and everything. My son once again is missing school to come to this appointment. Get there, low and behold they never put him on the schedule so the therapist went home from the day. We showed them the appointment card that they gave us. So I give them a call, trying to figure out what is happening. They were not apologetic for their mistakes at all and asked me "what would you like us to do about it?" I asked them to fix their scheduling errors and asked them if they could confirm the future appointments that we scheduled and make sure they were correct. nope. They put nothing in the computer for my son and have not even talked to the provider if he had that availability - despite it being 3 weeks.

If I can give zero stars I would they do not care about the kids or the family's they called cps on my family and my brother had a meeting with a counselor that pervious day and she started crying and making a big deal… over nothing the cops came to my that same night around 8pm saying he was here to make sure the kids are okay and they where and he even said that everything looks good then the day after cps went to my siblings school and they where having a party and they had to be pulled out in front of everyone and they took 30 to 40 minutes out of there party esterseals is not company you want to take your kids to they are unprofessional!!!!!

They seemed irritated that my children were there. Which is sad because the appointment was for them. It is an organization to help children. The man who did intake seemed very irritated. There were lots of toys and he… didn’t seem too happy to offer any to keep them entertained. Sad it’s an organization for children but they seem not interested in helping. The lady at the front desk is not friendly and seemed out out by answering simple questions. Sad Yuma does not have very many organizations to choose from.

All I have to say is they are great. No other word could describe Easterseals Blake Foundation better. I am very thankful for my interaction with them.

Easterseals is a hidden gem, when it comes to educating people in the mental illness community

They called CPS and had them come to my daughters school. Daughter told them an abusive incident her mom committed when she was 8 and she’s 12 now. They were told prior her mom does not live here.They felt that was… appropriate.
