About El Centro Family Health – Las Vegas

El Centro Family Health operates from 1235 8th Street in Las Vegas. The site sits in San Miguel County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Pecos and Ribera. New Mexico draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.

Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment, telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Treatment Services at El Centro Family Health

Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Buprenorphine and naltrexone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers.

El Centro Family Health Address, Location and Contact Information

The address is 1235 8th Street, Las Vegas, NM 87701, in San Miguel County. The catchment reaches Pecos and Ribera. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity.

Go here if you want your children to die! My son was diagnosed with breathing issues, and an xray was requested of Alta Vista from El Centro. Still have yet to know what the xray results were!! Simply because El Centro… and Alta Vista don't know how to talk to each other or upload results into the portal. I finally went to Santa Fe to get answers. What about folk who can't afford to go to urgent care in Santa Fe? He needed steroids for how bad his untreated bronchitis had become 5 days after El Centro had seen him with no diagnosis and no interpretation of Xray results. Shame on you for the lack of follow through and care! I called so many different people and got the run around for days! Absolutely saddened that this is what our community gets for Healthcare!

Go find medical care elsewhere I went here twice and stopped going first thing they'll tell to be there 20 minutes early the you'll be waiting for 2 hours to see PCP. The Dr I saw there a a complete pill pusher. You're… better off heading out of town and avoiding this place at all cost. too bad this what is left in Vegas as a choice of medical care

I called to make an appointment for my husband and the receptionist, “Danielle” was extremely helpful, caring and patient in figuring out how to get him seen the soonest. I’ve gone to this clinic myself for years and… I’m surprised at all the negative reviews posted; as all of the visits I’ve had there have shown knowledgeable professionalism by Drs and PAs and caring staff members- nurses, phlebotomists and front desk personnel.

I injured my rib pretty bad, tearing my cartilage. Dr John Scott didn’t seem to know what was going. I told him how I injured it and he told me it was almost impossible to hurt my rib by wrestling. He told me to get an… x ray, which doesn’t even show rib cartilage but rather rib bones. When I went for my follow up he told me everything was good. Just an absolute waste of my time I don’t even know how this guy is a doctor. On top of making me wait 25 min after my appointment was scheduled.

Don't go here. They charge $175 just to call for results. Not worth the time. We also already paid for labs and visits up-front.

Don't go to this place was late 5 mins and they didn't want to see me.Did I tell you I had to wait for the person in front of me. I think who ever owns this place really needs to come to las vegas nm and make sure… everyone gets a fair chance to see a doctor this town is not very big to be treating people like a big city. I guess we are just a number to them and even numbers don't count here give this place a BIG 1 star sad for people to treat others like that after waiting 3 months to get in

The only problem here are the girls up front 🙄 it's sad when your having a crises and they answer the phone and just hang it up the first time I called they connected me to the back there was no answer then I called… back 3 times and they would pick up not say nothing and hang up on me every time and this is why we all head out of town for our health.needs.

I hope if you are sick you don't try to get help from this clinic! They are arrogant, have no idea what they talk and are the worse place i can think off! this clinic should be closed down!

It was such a struggle just to go get a free covid test, I had to talk to three different people, I was told multiple different things, I was told they had an opening and then when I called back a few minutes later I… was told there was nothing. I eventually got everything taken care of but my goodness it shouldn’t have been as hard as it was. The workers here clearly have no communication with one another.

This dentist is horrible. Fake kindness, cruel in delivering care. Refused antibiotics when I got infected. Had to go to primary care. No follow up k Williams -Turks need to find a new hobby where she can’t hurt people.… Big fat zero

El Centro Family Health has a lot to offer for being in a smaller community. Don't judge a book by its cover. The building looks in need of repair, but the staff and medical professionals do a great job and are… compassionate. There is some turnover with doctors but I have always found good health services at El Centro. Really appreciate Laura Robinson - she goes above and beyond helping folks! She is wonderful. Appreciate Ann Ruge for women's health. Also Josie does an amazing job with blood draws. Appreciate El Centro and all the staff for what they do for the community and for the student medical center at Highlands Univ.
