About El Centro Family Health – Springer

El Centro Family Health operates from 502 4th Street in Springer. The site sits in Colfax County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Wagon Mound. New Mexico draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.

Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment, telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Treatment Services at El Centro Family Health

Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Buprenorphine and naltrexone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers.

Terrible experience. The doctor treated me like I was a sick dog. Never checked why I was in pain. Just asked questions and gave me meds whiteout even really checking where the pain came from. I expected more from… American healthcare. Horrible
