About Espoir Recovery Healing Services – Wilmington
Espoir Recovery Healing Services operates from 1016 Delaware Avenue in Wilmington. The site sits in New Castle County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Arden, Ardencroft and Ardentown. Delaware draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.
Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Treatment Services at Espoir Recovery Healing Services
Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.
Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers. Ask what happens at the end of the program as well as the beginning, since that is where plans usually thin out. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Espoir Recovery Healing Services Address, Location and Contact Information
The address is 1016 Delaware Avenue, Wilmington, DE 19806, in New Castle County. The catchment reaches Arden, Ardencroft and Ardentown. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity.
Telehealth appointments cover some contact where travel is difficult, which removes part of the journey for people further out. Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

When reading, give most weight to concrete detail, such as how quickly an appointment was offered or how family members were kept informed.
I called this place bc I found someone's I'd with this address on it address and the person who picked up was very rude ..I fwelr you should not be working at a place made to help others of u don't have a good heart
My experience at this facility was very disappointing. I was there for only about 30 minutes, yet I felt uncomfortable and even slightly harassed during my visit. The way I was spoken to came across as unprofessional… and discriminatory. I also noticed practices that felt questionable and raised red flags to me, especially considering the seriousness of the services they claim to provide. A company offering drug and alcohol treatment should create a safe, respectful, and transparent environment for everyone, but unfortunately, that was not my experience.
The only reason I'm giving this place two stars is because they got me off the street and put a roof over my head. The program itself is not very well thought out. The counselors that ran the IOP groups were… knowledgeable (Mr Malcom). However the program director Mr Stokes is a very sheisty individual. From putting 6 grown men in one room sleeping on bunk beds made for kids to having live-in staff who were stealing medication from clients. I'm pretty sure money that was sent to me via USPS was stolen by staff. My mom sent the card to the correct address, somehow it never showed up(the card had $50 cash). HIPPA laws were violated constantly. This place claims to ready you for re-entry into society but won't allow you to find employment. For the few people lucky enough to find work, staff instructed them to sign attendance sheets stating they had been at group during the day so they(Divine Light) could bill the insurance company. Basically committing insurance fraud on a daily basis. If not for a decent tax return I'd have probably never made it out of this place.
If you want to make a change for the better this place can definitely help. The counselors and office administrators are good caring people. The lunch special is always a hit. You go there on Friday and tell them Tony… sent you!
This is a great program show recovering addicts that deserves to be responsible productive member of society the staff is awesome the receptionist is very nice and professional Mr Carl goes above and beyond for the… clients Miss Sheila is awesome and the counselors Malcolm and Anthony are awesome counselors I would recommend this program to anyone who has a desire to stop using
Great place.... Love the staff
If this place could receive no stars it would have in my opinion. From staff that scrambles and has no idea how to coordinate a program, to patients being kicked out for simply being sleepy during group. I feel this… program is a scam and doesn’t deserve to be open. The “ceo” since I met several CEO’s during my 4 months in the program; was lacking knowledge about the day to day in the program, the patients, and even how things were being ran. From constant changing rules and staff that was ignorant and rude, I was appalled at the fact this program was even legal. From 6 people in one room made for only a single bed, to staff constantly trying to fight with you. The home manager was so ignorant and picked favorites and people they liked; treating other so disrespectfully. I felt in 4 months the only thing I got from the program was patience because the staff was so ignorant it took everything in me not to fight with them. From secretaries who were part of the program and relapsed 4 times; to picking favorites who were allowed to stay in the program even after several relapses. I wouldn’t go through this program again if my life depended on it.
