Excela Health Latrobe Hospital – Latrobe Detox and Rehab Services

Recorded services at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital – Latrobe are residential treatment and intensive outpatient. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. Which of these is appropriate depends on an assessment, not on what sounds manageable at the time.

Only one side is on record here, so ask directly if both are needed. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

Excela Health Latrobe Hospital – Latrobe Address, Location and Contact Information

The facility address is 1 Mellon Way, Latrobe, Pennsylvania, 15650. This address falls in Westmoreland County. People travel in from the surrounding area, and confirming the route beforehand saves difficulty. How someone gets there matters more than it sounds: travel is one of the commonest reasons a course of treatment stops partway.

Phone ahead about parking, access and what the first appointment covers. Where travel is difficult, ask whether an initial appointment can be held remotely. If the first call does not reach anyone, try again at a different time of day rather than assuming the service is closed.

Hands down one of the worst hospitals you could possibly go to. I’ve live by this place my entire life and it’s just horrendous, far longer than it’s been owned by IHS instead of Excela Health. It’s almost unanimously… agreed upon with everyone in Latrobe and neighboring cities that the incompetence and pettiness are a prolific issue. Constantly misdiagnosing people and neglecting actual problems, this place will treat you like they’re a grimy dealership making money off of everything they can diagnose wrong and charge you to fix. Countless firsthand experiences for the better half of 30 years, this place has zero compassion and some of the most entitled staff I have ever met. If you’re not good with people or hate your job, there’s plenty of other careers that offer substantial pay without you having to be this incompetent at something you think you’re absolutely nailing. You could literally die here and they’ll diagnose you as dramatic. Their personal bias will cost you your health.

I went to Latrobe to have a catheter replaced. When Westmoreland put the first catheter in it ran in reverse . The Doctor at Latrobe did a fantastic job and the catheter runs normal. I really like Latrobe Hospital !

I’m from New York and was camping at Keystone State Park when I unexpectedly needed emergency surgery. My visit to this hospital was completely unplanned, but I couldn't be more grateful for the care I received. From… the emergency room to my surgery and recovery, every member of the staff was compassionate, professional, and attentive. This was, without a doubt, the best care I have ever received in an emergency room. Thank you to the doctors, nurses, surgeons, and everyone who played a part in my treatment. I truly appreciate everything you did for me!

Pay for the helicopter cause I am not and that came from my lawyers mouth not mine

I’m waiting for an mri. I’m the first patient. Was told be here 1/2 hr before appointment. No one is here to start anything. I was here before 6 to not be late. This is uncalled for. Not right.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! They don’t know what they’re doing they have almost killed me twice now from overdoing me on medication and lying about what they gave me to letting me choke on my own blood and a feeding tube because… they told me they didn’t know how to take it out and I had to do it MYSELF! To survive and if you want anything private be careful they love to violate HIPAA

Remember when I was about ten years old went in for hurting my neck. How was I supposed to rate my pain?! I was in horrendous pain and got yelled at for crying and being too loud!!! Hurt my neck then the doctor needs to… feel etc. Of course I was in pain but they thought a 10 year old was lying about pain or overreacting. Don't go here for possible broken bones or bloodwork. They said it was positive when later my mom learned it was actually misread and was a negative. It was an allergic reaction but the doctors never said anything. I'll never go here unless I'm unconscious in an ambulance. Its a good thing they don't have a labor delivery department anymore; I could only imagine how they would treat those patients.

I love Latrobe Hospital. I have always had great care there. Dr Harter in the ER is fantastic. He cares about his patients and goes the extra mile. The ladies at the registration desk smile and are friendly. Griffin did… an excellent job getting the needle in my arm to take blood and attach the IVs. Taylor was great asking the informational questions. And Tara was fun during the time I spent drinking that "delicious" contrast. The two fellows who did my X-rays and cat scan were great, just like the fellow who stopped in my room after the cat scan to see if I had any questions. They all made my stay so much better by distracting me from my pain. And special accolades to Griffen who made a point to say goodnight to me before he left. I wish him all the best in his career. What a great team!!

My wife fainted and fell, resulting in a large cut to her head with a lot of bleeding. She was taken by ambulance at 4 am to Latrobe Hospital. A doctor stitched her immediately, and did a great job. She was admitted for… a few days for testing. Everyone there was extraordinarily kind, helpful and professional. Michelle and the nurses on Floor 3 South were terrific! I can't imagine a better hospital.

I was in the ER yesterday with bad leg burning sensation and numbness while I was laying in bed the nurse and the doctor kept on asking me what was wrong and what caused I to explain but they kept on drilling me… question after question the more I tried to tell them the more I felt like I was being drilled like I was in the army I was happy when I left

I was taken back to a room not long after I arrived. Rick and Kaitlin were there to make me comfortable and were very nice to my husband and let us know everything that was being done. They have great senses of humor… and we really felt at ease. It honestly helps to have people who care about you from the time you come in until you are released. Would recommend Latrobe Hospital to anyone who needs to go to the ER.

My grandmother is in there right now, there’s nurses in the ICU withholding critical medications! While in the room visiting a nurse named Megan left my grandmother in CC7 in a full panic attack for an hour, she was in… the room for 20 minutes while the incident was occurring this is the third incident of which all been well document and all been questioned! I told the nurse that if report was more important than a patients life she should not be a nurse of which I got told I’m abusing nursing staff and am no longer allowed to vision and my mother got assaulted by a red headed male nurse and one of the officers after this incident! We have right to be concerned when this has been going on and her med are being messed with due to in experience in some nurses. Her blood pressure was 74/14 prior to anything being done! I have been bullied and not listened to from day one and work had been being done on my grandmother prior to any poa being contacted from th start being forced into the care being stuck u. Latrobe when we want her transferred ! Every step of the way our wishes got ignored and bullied into what they want to do not what the family actually wants

Yes this wonderful crappy hospital where I came not knowing what was wrong, getting treated like a junkie while my urine sat for an hour, finally test it,blood sugar of 18 then they're concerned, worthless way to just… treat someone when you don't know what's wrong, healthcare isn't what it used to be that's for sure

This place should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. I’m here with an employee. There is a young lady in pain next to us and she’s getting yelled at cause they are saying she is being to loud. Absolute disgrace. These… nurses should be completely ashamed of themselves.
