I took my girlfriend to this location. We had an appointment for her meds we got there blood pressure machine didn’t work we sat in a room with a tv for a video visit never got that. My girlfriend was literally having a… psychotic episode while we were in office. I walked up to the front desk and asked the to call the crisis line so she can get some help. They never called instead they told me to take her home and once she is sleep to call them.. This is against the law in so many ways. It’s like asking someone to call 911 and they don’t do it. I asked for them to have someone higher up to call me and still have not received a call.. This place is trash and should not be in business at all!!!
I was a patient at this clinic for nearly a decade until today. I want to be fair and say that I did have some genuinely good therapists, and medication providers during that time. Unfortunately, they never stayed long.… The constant turnover meant starting over again and again, which undermined any sense of continuity in care, and as someone with anxiety and PTSD this was hard. Communication has always been a major issue — phones frequently go unanswered, and it often takes repeated attempts- even days of trying to just reach someone. Most recently, delays and poor coordination around required labs created unnecessary barriers to accessing prescribed medication. Medication I was prescribed by that office and been on for nearly a decade. After years of trying to make this work, I ultimately had to seek care elsewhere. In one visit at a different clinic, I was able to get my medication refilled, labs completed, and an EKG done without judgment or delays. That contrast speaks for itself. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone who needs reliable, ongoing mental health care.
I have the pleasure of working with Diana. She’s been absolutely wonderful. Extremely supportive, personable, and always provides great advice. I have personally seen 5 therapists and she’s by far the best. The company… is understaff and at times they dont have someone at the front desk, but they do a great job with the staff they have to work with. Super grateful for them.
My 8 year old is supposed to be receiving therapy from FSA. They have one therapist with over 70 clients. Half of the appointments have been cancelled and after 4 months of this they called out of the blue and said they… couldn't provide therapy anymore. At this point it would have been better to just not have any therapy for my little girl instead of retraumatizing her. Learn to run this business better because you are hurting your clients.
The only place where I could find EMDR therapy that was covered by my insurance plan their staff is very kind and helpful and up-to-date
Family Services helped me live a better life, and enjoy my family and friends. And to live life to the fullest. Without support from Family Service I would prolly still be lost!!! Alone, &Linds Thank You all!!!… Sincerely Linda
Brenda said she’s the clinical director and is Absolutely unacceptable the way she speaks to people haughty and arrogant,I asked for her bosses contact from the front desk , I’d like to play her boss the phone… conversation, so they can hear how she deals with people ,unacceptable verbal communication , she is never to contact me again ,in my opinion Absolutely should not be in the position she is in it’s not appropriate to speak to anyone the wa
They need to keep a doctor for more than a month or 2, also counselors that want to help people. My doctor is allotted 20 minutes with me, that’s long enough to know my name and then they want to change my medications… that work just to protect their practice. We need more than 20 minutes with our doctors!!!!! This is mental health we are talking about!!!! Who should be held reliable if something happens because I don’t have my medications when all I’m trying to do is the right thing and continue taking my meds? I have a family I have to take care of and it’s extremely difficult when I’m not properly medicated. Someone with the power to do something needs to step up and take care of this issue or be held reliable. Thank you
I was in need of help emensly and these people will not even return a voicemail. Thanks for caring!
Thankfully, the staff and intake counselor were very patient with me. Seeing the nurse through a computer was odd, but she was very thorough and always very attentive to my medical needs. I am forever grateful.
Originally I was merely planning on commenting about the rude/unfriendly/terse personality of the receptionist...let's just call her A....recently, however, I was notified that she has left this office and has been… replaced with a new one. That aside, I just wish to express my complete 100% AGREEMENT with almost all of the negative reviews of this "service agency". And I don't even attend the groups! Thanx for the warning! Anyway, initially, I was satisfied with my therapist's "treatment" approach. But recently I confronted her with something that she related privately to me, then a week later blatantly DENIED even uttering! She knows who she is and she knows what she said, if you're reading this. Anyway, I left the session thinking to myself, "why even support my observations in the first place if you're simply going to outright lie to me later"? Really disappointed with the lack of information/misinformation provided during the meetings. Please don't patronize me by fabricating advice/suggestions/resources that aren't based in reality or just don't even exist, and without verifying for yourself before giving an answer with a tone of assurance and support. Also, for those who continue to attend here, educate yourself on strategies for developing an awareness or "mindfulness" (lol) for "licensed therapists" who blatantly adopt an obvious mask of CONDESCENSION toward you and other family members while receiving "treatment"! The complacency/patronizing/condescension is thick as a London fog here!
Went here for three years and have learned a lot about the staff in one visit. Unprofessional with service animals in the facitinity. And do not know how to handle high pressure situations.
Saw provider, after 3 months finally, she called in meds, and pharmacy refuses to fill said meds, due to how the script was written. Still waiting.
I am not impressed. But this is all the state will allow you to have if you are unfortunate enough to be forced into medicaid as your only option for health insurance. Good luck getting meds when you need them.
I am unfortuantly a client at this wasted space of a "business" but am in the process of switching! I have been a client here for over nine months, still in the same group. Not moving down to a lower level of care due… to my attendance?! I miss one maybe two groups a month every once in a while due to...well life! Not to mention these are all excused absences! This place is 150% a joke!!!! They keep their clients their for way, way too long!!! The groups are a joke, all we ever do is packets in group. When I speak up and try to talk about what is going on in my life, or even about how my day is going, I get shut down!! I get told we don't have enough time to hear about that right now because either A, we need to get this packet done or B, we will not be able to watch all of the video! I thought I was hear to talk about me and what's going on in my life?! All they care about is the money! Groups always get started late, anywhere from 15-40 minutes late! They never return your phone calls and rarely answer their phone! They are always running out of water or barley have enough left. Always either out of soap or paper towels in the bathroom. Part of the ceiling is torn out and dripping water for over two months now, it's loud ( the dripping), smells terrible and has mold growing on it. I have been told a few lies and caught them red handed. This place is horrible and they put on a front at the beginning to make themselves look good! I would not recommend my worst enemy to go here!!
If I could give less than 1 star, I would. In the 6 months or so that I was with Family Service Agency, I was without meds 3 times because I couldn't get them to call it in. Twice these periods without medication were… for a month or more. My first med provider quit with no notice. They told me they would call me to reschedule my appointment and wouldn't let me schedule one twice. When I finally got them to schedule one, they couldn't get me in for 2 months. When I asked for my meds to be called in so I didn't run out of them during those 2 months, I got told off by the nurse and they would only give me a months worth of medication. When I finally got to that appointment, the new meds doc hadn't even looked at my file and tried to take me off the meds I've been on for years. She didn't care about my symptoms or any problems I was having. She then said she wanted to see me in 3 months and only gave me 2 months worth of medication. I called every day for a week to have them call in the last months worth of medication and they never called them in to the pharmacy or called me back. The receptionist is friendly to your face but often rude on the phone, no matter why you're calling and even when she calls you about appointments (half of those calls are so they can reschedule them). The only good thing there is a therapist named Africa (I don't know her last name.) She worked with me and tried to help me in every way she could and was generally upset about how the agency was treating patients in general. While she is really needed there, I can see the practices of this agency burning her out and I really hope she moves on to somewhere that actually cares about their patients.
exactly what the other reviewer wrote. they will call to schedule you for a therapist appointment, then cancel last minute and schedule you again months out. Meds are near impossible to get as well, and the staff is… constantly in rotation. If you go here, you will not get ANY care whatsoever and in fact, it is more of a liability than anything else. This is the most incompetent place I have ever seen.
Have been going here four years and they have really gotten bad. Im changing agencies. Meds dont get called in. No one returns calls and they call and cancel your appointment day of.
