Glade Run Lutheran Services – Zelienople Detox and Rehab Services
Glade Run Lutheran Services – Zelienople carries a listing for intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.
The record does not show integrated provision, so confirm this if it matters. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

After speaking with Ruth from quality control, and trying my best to address the issues of this company, I want to give my official review as somebody who had a blended case manager for ninety days. Quality control did… find deficits in my care and lack of documentation. The doctor refused and did not notate or document my heart injury - despite being told about it verbally during our visit when discussing medication options. I offered to have my medical files reviewed by him. He suggested this medication was fine despite not being my cardiologist. I could not take the medication given, and I was left with no medication, still no therapy, as there was more than a six month wait list, and an ineffective blended case manager, who did literally nothing and was found to not document doing things and did literally nothing. When I tried to leave the company, I was offered repair. In the same day, that quality control said that we could have the meeting and we would keep me as a client, another person in the company told me that I was being referred out. I literally received no care. They did not help me as a person with autism. They did not take me anywhere. They did not link me to resources. They did not help me navigate or manage anything. There was no continuity of care. They provided me nothing but trauma and more stress. As they are aware, I have video film of one of their blended case managers lying directly to me. It was filmed inside my home and we had discussion and they informed me that I could not film my blended case managers anymore. That is fine, but I do still have the video and proof that the first blended case manager they gave me, decided to try to lie to my face instead of just admit, she never texted me the date for the appointment. I would not recommend this agency to absolutely anybody. I do believe that they have far more funding than they deserve compared to the type of care that they give. I will be filing further up in the state against them, considering they are aware of their own wrongdoing and admitted to some of it. Please do not go here. Do not waste insurance or money on this place. 0/10 would not recommend.
i went here for 12 entire years and it was fine up until the last. there are several staff there that were horribly unprofessional, rude, and overall terrible. Chuck and Teri were the worst of it, but Chuck got special… treatment because he'd been there for a long time. He did nothing but raise his voice, ignore the needs of kids in the class, and act disrespectful. Sometimes him and the TA would seemingly go out of their way to start issues. At the time of me being there the vice principal was a similar way, he would make issues of small things and then as soon as he was called out on it he'd instantly backtrack and act like it was never an issue Most of my anger issues during that entire year were strictly and only due to those 3. Unprofessional, unfair, unhelpful, and disgusting.
Don’t go
I was there many years ago. That place not only made me a better person but saved my life. I dont know were i would be today if not for this place. I had so many good times there. The stuff were like family I never had… and always wanted.
Ok so I can't speak on what other people had to deal with while being here but honestly I loved it. They tried so hard to help me. I went between the years of 2010 and 2013. I recall a lot of the staff and my favorites… mostly nicknames were "B-new" and Mr. Kulp. I was one of the 100s of troubled children here and really loved the horse barn. I hope the staff I speak of are still here doing good work. I'm sorry so many of you had bad experiences. I had fond memories of the RTF.
Worst place to send your kids to help. The staff miss treat the kids their was so many drugs inside the school that they never discovered the problem they make you sign a waver incase your child gets hurt their… protected they have failed more than they saved they don’t teach up to date classes they treat you like subjects not human beings I had more trauma by the time I graduated than when I did before I go their my suggestion stay away from this place your school district asks if you wanna send your child their laugh in their face
This place just was an absolute disgrace of a “school.” I can’t even call it that, because I feel like I learned nothing. Literally nothing except the fact that some kids need to be in jail asap for their own good.… THESE INSTANCES HAPPENED ON THE DAILY AND ITS NOT OKAY: -fights -mental abuse -physical abuse -instigating teachers (this happens a lot. I think the teachers they hire also have mental problems or have been to prison. -students getting tackled/restrained (most of the time they deserved it, but they always ended up bloody or in pain. In other words, i think the staff had fun restraining the students. I’ve heard them hyping themselves and others up about it before, which just makes the student angrier. But it wouldn’t be very fun for them if they were calm!) -students looking for a fight (this was very common too. I knew someone who would do that all day) -students running away (of course they call it “AWOL” I think the teachers like pretending they are in the army or or a jail guard lol.) -absolutely terrible lunches (these were literally the worse and most low effort, trust me 🤮) -teachers sitting through the class on their phones not saying a word (I told you I learned nothing) -ambulance or police showing up to the school (Not to mention the stuff that sometimes happens [still often] like student-on-student fights… I kid you not when I say this place is still nightmare fuel for me. I still have constant nightmares about being here and how horrible it was. And it’s been over a decade… I’m 23 now…Jesus Christ… I am just waiting for this place to be condemned and exposed… it’s not okay!
I hated it here I was just a child and I was SA'd by multiple staff members and the nuns would say terrible things to scare you into good behavior the only thing I even liked about the place was the horses because when… I was sad and depressed I'd run to the horse stables and I'd pet them until I felt better unless I got locked in my room by the staff members I was there for 2 years until finally someone believed me about what the staff did to me and signed me out definitely would not recommend sending your children here it may look nice but trust me looks can be deceiving I was only 8 years old when I was first placed there and was finally signed out after I turned 10 I'm 27 years old now and still have nightmares and the staff members faces still haunt me
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. They claim to over services and treatment that none of their staff is trained to perform. At the first sign of any trouble, they will shut your kid off to the ER because they… don’t know how to handle it. Doctors at the hospital recommended we take our loved ones ANYWHERE ELSE other than Glade Run- they are notorious for using inappropriate tactics to gain control over these kids, and when that doesn’t work, they threaten inpatient. They cause MORE anxiety and depression. Some of the reviews on here are not even real former patients 😂 do not be fooled. If you love your child find ANYWHERE ELSE
their therapists didn’t actually help and they won’t stop charging us for sessions we already payed for, i just got the 5th notice saying that we need to pay these bills when we paid them last year. when we called… online to get this sorted out the lady was so rude and did nothing to help. i do not recommend you go here
I was here in the 90s. I was a resident when it was Lutherans for the most part I had a good experience but I was bipolar I got into fights alot. I was a very angry child. I had my moments I put the staff through a lot?… I still remember the staff I had I was up there earlier today because my dad lives in the retirement community right before it so much has changed over the years. It looks completely different from when it did in the 90s the retirement community was not there then. The horse barn is still there. Most the cottages are gone I was in Riber and white cottage I went to school on campus only for a year and they let me go to zilenople high school cause I earned it I was not an easy child to deal with. I went there When I was 12 and was there till I aged out of the system
In 4th grade, I went to this school. I was bullied, beaten, verbally abused, degraded, assaulted, and neglected. A large number of my childhood trauma came from this place. Please avoid letting your children come here.… You will regret it.
This place was wonderful in a lot of ways, but it can be kind of hard to understand, especially for young kids. I had one traumatic experience however, in which a staff member named "Mr. Cory" (yes we call the staff by… their last names) put me up against a wall and yelled at me a bit. That was maybe about 4-5 years ago if I'm remembering right. I have been here for about 5 years or a little more, and mostly it's good. I had a 1-on-1 named "Ms. Kathy". She was very understanding of my autism and she genuinely enjoyed being with me and others. She even told me stories about her childhood, most of which were, and still are, interesting. The staff in the ASD hallway are very kind and respectful for the most part. I was in the classroom A1 for pretty much the whole time I was here, if only I could tell you how friendly the kids and staff are. As for the food, we don't have a built in lunch room, we have to walk to it, which is halfway across the campus. And a lot of the food is good if you want to try it, but half of the kids eat and don't eat it. Next of the topic is freedom. Most of the time I was here, I didn't like how much the staff was basically telling me to "quiet down" or "stop it or we're gonna go out of the room." That, however was when I was in A2 mostly, in A1 they only said that if you're being disrespectful. Another issue is how they make you say the "Jaguar Pledge", which is basically a pledge to the sanctuary theme and saying "be accountable, safe and kind". And you have to go to a lot of the classes, if not all of them. You don't really have a choice. A lot of the classes I should mention are in the room itself, like your homeroom teacher's class. The other classes are outside, or in the gym. Classes that are outside of the school and gym are plants and animals. And if you refuse to go to any of the classes I just said, you'll be taken out for a "break", or fancy talk for going to the side room they have available. You have no locker, only putting your bag right next to your desk. And if you're lucky, the desk will have a hatch so that you can put your books in. Other then that, I have mixed feelings about a lot of other things. The thing I love the most is that at some point, you'll go outside. Either to the sensory playground, or the side park. I hope my review will help those who either just want a review or the school, or the parents who are thinking about sending their kids to the school!
I went here around 2006 or 07 to like 09 or 10. I didnt live on campus but i remember the isolation room and constant restraints involving 2 or 3 big men. I remember them messing with my meds giving me impropper… diagnosis.
I would encourage more people tell the truth about their experiences at Glade Run and St. Stephen's. As is obvious from some of the bad reviews that have gotten through the cracks of censorship.. this establishment… causes more harm than good. The culture at Glade Run is in direct opposition to their mission statement and supposed compliance with Sanctuary standards. The way vulnerable students are dealt with there is heartbreaking. Hopefully things will change as more people speak up.
It was gonna be 5 stars, until now. The staff force "manners", Touches innocent students, blames innocent students for doing nothing wrong, and worst, does all students wrong and weird. Pls, someone: report this school.
Second year my stepson is in this school and we're going to pull him out. Repeated talks with teachers in meetings do nothing, there is no work being sent home, the in school work is print outs from grade levels below… where he is, send multiple notes on a "point card" and get no response back. Below basic and basic scores in math and reading somehow isn't an issue for them to address. I don't even want to call this a school, but what 8th grader gets recess, 10 minutes of tests, no work, no education, and somehow passes? This place is a pathetic joke and a waste of money, and all they seem to care about is keeping kids here as long as possible. Stay away from this place if you value your children. By the way, to any staff that manages to read this far, which I wouldn't expect, feel free to contact me, or Molly if you'd like. Just had yet another meeting where your teachers decide to get smart with her and we've had it.
My brother went here
I was a resident here way back At first this place was great i was there way to long and started not to care. The staff on my unit were childish, were always argumentative they were quick to put there hands on you… before trying to talk to you or de-escalate the problem. The schools on campus didnt you teach nothing they taught you by printing out work sheets for every lesson. If i could give this place a 0 i would. All Galderun Facilities should of been shutdown. 1. Kids ran away because their life was always being threatened 2. Kids ran away because they got fed up being assaulted by staff 3. Education was a joke their way of teaching was printing paper lessons 4. You werent allowed to communicate with other residents from different unit programs unless you were school. 5. Therapists didnt care about you 6. You had teachers in the mobile school units that would get smart with you and always used the phrase “thats why i get to go home every night and so whatever i want and yall are locked up here” a teacher had to learn the hard way about not saying that again. 7. No incentives nothing to look forward too everyday your lucky if your family drove out for 2 hrs to see you 1x a week
Disgusting treatment of students. Blamed students for Tourette’s, horribly unprofessional to any autistic people who are not amab or male. Therapists are horrible, and did more harm than good. Punished for trauma and… blamed for it basically. Only good part was other students, which should not be how it is
I used to go here… I was here for almost a year….
I’m my own personal experience it was not a good place for my mental health mr John was great but mrs Kristen caused a lot of harm and did not listen when I was upset
Dissatisfaction…email me if you have questions
