About Greater Seacoast Community Health – Portsmouth

Greater Seacoast Community Health operates from 8 Greenleaf Woods Drive in Portsmouth. The site sits in Rockingham County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Exeter, Hampstead and Raymond. New Hampshire draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.

Detox and outpatient care are delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment and telehealth appointments. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Withdrawal management covers alcohol, methamphetamine and opioid dependence and is handled on site rather than referred elsewhere. Stepping down into continuing care happens with the same team, so there is no second intake to sit through. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Buprenorphine and naltrexone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Ask what happens at the end of the program as well as the beginning, since that is where plans usually thin out. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

This location caters only to people who support the LGBTQ agenda. They have a "gay pride" flag, an American flag but no Christian flag. May God impose judgement on this location.

first off calling trying to use the automated service was completely useless. Once I got through apparently as a husband, I’m not authorized to make an appointment for my wife. it’s like no I only have her full personal… information just cause I wanna make her a random appointment.

Just a regular primary care check up. Maureen who does the rooming of patients is just fabulous. The doc is very efficient. Each visit is easy and stress free. I mustvstress the friendly interaction with Maureen starts… the whole process off on the right positive beat. Check in and check out are always seamless and professional - thank you

I’ve been impatient here for over five years. The staff, the nurses the doctors front desk dental are amazing helpful whether I’m in the building or on the phone they returned my phone calls promptly. Thank you for all… you do.

Was there for hubby's first appointment and got ready to leave. Doctor told him to make another appointment with the intake to apply for medicaid. When we got ready to leave, we went out to make the appointment, and the… gate was closed, and all the receptionist were outside, gabbing away, you would think that they would wait until all patients were out of the building pretty unprofessional. As far as my husband's concerned, he don't know if he's ever go back there again. The appointment itself was a joke. They won't help people like they say they will. They just give you the runaround. When we left, he was so disappointed that he's just gonna do everything himself. And try to find a different doctor that place won't help you at all like they say they will. He's also expecting a crazy high bill that's messed up. They say that they're gonna help you with medications. His 4 medications was gonna be over three hundred dollars. 2 of them were cheaper at Walmart!!

Dr. Alvarado And Sam did an amazing job. They were very thorough and explained everything in detail to me. I travel a little farther just to be seen by Dr. Alvarado because she is just that good! She genuinely cares for… her patients and she has a heart of gold!

I am overall happy with my experience at FF. I use the dental services and currently under a treatment program. All the dentists I've had are very friendly and competent. I understand sometimes the office gets very busy… but I think they do the best they can with what they've got.

Excellent care. A couple things that stand out: Richard does my cleanings and always takes the time to coach me on better brushing techniques, dental hygiene etc. My home routines (and my kid's) have gotten much better… as a result. Also, Dr. Villett and her team put in a crown for me after I cracked a tooth. There were some issues with the lab that required multiple visits to get it fitted right, and they were super patient and went the extra mile to make sure the end result was perfect. Highly recommend.

This office is trash, I would give zero as a rating if I could. They say they send referrals and then a month later when I call to follow up because of course no referrals got sent the lady is incredibly rude and hangs… up and now I have to waste more time by going in because clearly they can’t do their job right.

PA Allison Hansen is the best provider I’ve seen in a long time. She is compassionate and truly lets me take my care into my own hands by allowing me to move at my own pace. She’s understanding and really listens to her… patients. I highly recommend her and am so grateful to have found such a wonderful provider.

Just called October 17th. Broke my neck 6 years ago and having pain in left shoulder neck and face with temporary facial paralysis they said they couldn’t get me in until December? Very serious symptoms and no appt… until December. I have been a patient with them for over 10 years but now I’m done. Front desk staff was terrible.

No stars if I could. Let me begin by saying lack of communication or absence of communication is my first complaint. I have personally talked to the healthcare team left after hour messages and no one returns my calls.… I was looking to have my prescriptions refilled only to find out I wasn't a patient any longer without any notification sent to me. I told them I was out of my blood pressure medicine and if they could please call in a week's worth that would give me time to sort this all out. But they did not work with me. I am now a week off my blood pressure medicine looking for a new provider. I would not trust my care with them at this juncture. My father died of congestive heart failure last year and my mom had a stroke the year before so my heart health is important to me. Communication and compassion is a must in the healthcare field and this is seriously lacking here. At the time of this writing I called again waiting for another reply which I have not received. Shocker! I strongly recommend people look elsewhere for healthcare in my opinion.

Was told in Feb. 200 over 100 BP with vision loss was not a concern. I had a heart attack in May management said if I wasn't happy with that provider, I could see some one else. Still waiting for answers. Talking to… management is like talking to a sociopath. Your neglegence nearly cost me my life . I talked with them 3 weeks ago, no call back...

Is currently taking over a week to increase dosage for a medication. Suppose I’ll have to pay for another appointment just to tell my doctor myself, since the front desk number is no help at all. Awful with medications… in general, asked for refills on two separate mediations and only got one so far. Really not impressed by the lack of professionalism from Families First. Will be transferring to a more professional medical team.

dr buanamono is great! nurses are ok, some of them, some of them are mean and make me feel as if they dont care about me, the pt. i am also partially paralyzed and have trouble with rides and picking up rx's and they… make sure to make things more difficult dr b says i can have online appts the nurses throw a fit and make me come in the office they're always giving me partials knowing i gotta pay someone cash every time they pick up an rx for me like i said very uncooperative on their part so basically only the pt has to be respectful and helpful the office staff excluding dr b who is awesome i had a great dr and a nurse peter before these nurses THEY WERE BOTH FANTASTIC I MISS THEM BOTH SO MUCH

One of the most incompetent offices I ever visited. When I call for lab orders and refills, I never once in 4 years got a response. The office staff here don't say your welcome when you say thank you and their all… toxic. The office manager Hillary is probably one of the most incompetent disgraceful, fake humans out their. She is a pathetic human being and should have been fired years ago but it's clear the management at the top must be just as disgusting as her and her team and unprofessional behavior. If anyone else experiences this office to be unprofessional and unresponsive as well file a complaint with the the NH Board of Medicine. More people should be filing complaints about this office. Again this place is a disgrace for a community health center and should be defunded and closed with the idiots they hire including the office manager Hillary who is a narcissist to say the least and can't do her job well or at all and if she did she wouldn't get reviews like this but she a moron so what do you expect.. Don't go here and find a office that actually cares about your disability and cares for you. The people here are trash and don't care about you, trust me ! So many better places to go that are professional and kind, it's not here. A bunch of entry level sub par fake idiots !

Families first in Portsmouth has been such a great support system for my children and I more than ever when it comes to the access of the social workers and the family visiting program. Lauren, and yvette are amazing,… caring and very helpful with any and all resources you may need. I'm also enrolled for my youngest in the family visiting home program and nothing but great supportive individuals on that entire team run by Joann. Without there help my son would of lost his daycare. Thank you for all you do! ❤️

We have been going to Families first for about two years now. They have a great team of people, good atmosphere and truly care for their patients. I had my entire prenatal and postpartum care eith them, pediatric care… for our little one and our whole family's regular medical care. Could they improve, certainly , everyone can, but we truly have been happy with them. Dr Carrie is the best! Too bad she is leaving the practice.

Families first used to be really good one of the best doctors I could ask for who really cared about me now you get thrown to different doctors every couple of months because they can't keep people don't know what has… happened to their care but it has gone downhill I'm not saying that they don't care it's just their demand is over the top and they can't keep up and keep losing good people like I said best of luck to them but I've moved on something better.🤷‍♀️😟
