Greenhouse Treatment Center – Grand Prairie Detox and Rehab Services
The provision listed at Greenhouse Treatment Center – Grand Prairie is detox and residential treatment. Detox runs under medical supervision, and the first three days carry the highest risk with alcohol and benzodiazepines. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.
Combined treatment is not recorded, which is worth checking before committing. Medication and talking treatment run together under clinical oversight. Ask directly about session times and frequency, as those details decide whether someone can realistically attend.

Good place to get yourself right
Allow me to give a scathing review of what really happens at Greenhouse Treatment Center in Grand Prairie, TX. I was admitted there about four months ago for Addiction and Depression therapy. I am a United States… Military Veteran and my stay there was covered by my VA insurance who Greenhouse has become a master at scamming. My first two months there were actually okay but then things started to fall apart from what I can only assume is their mismanagement of money. After two months there I and all the other patients at this facility started to see extreme cutbacks in patient care and quality of life. Resolutions which is the name of the living center that we all stayed at had extreme problems. There were approximately 10 washing machines at this facility of which 8 of them were broken and never repaired so getting clean laundry is almost impossible. There are 100 people living here with only 2 working washers so you can imagine the hassle it is to even have clean laundry. They are billing the VA $2,000.00 a day for every day that I was there and I didn’t even get a hot breakfast. The next problem there is that the rooms are infested with ants and cockroaches as I woke up every day with ants on my legs and crotch. The next big problem at Greenhouse is that they are severely understaffed. Every week about half of the groups would be cancelled or merged together because of the shortage of staff. The groups there are huge numbering 25 to 30 for every one counselor a group in a one hour session so absolutely nothing gets accomplished. About two months into my treatment I started complaining about all of the above and Greenhouse did not like this at all. After I complained about the treatment we were receiving several other veterans started complaining also and then Greenhouse sent in an LPC to address the issue. The LPC who goes by the name of Topp came into the veteran’s group and told us all that we needed to stop whining. After he called me a whiner about 10 times, I just got sick of it and I called him a name back. I asked him if he was a professional counselor then why was he calling us names. His reply was that we were just all whiners and needed to stop complaining. I then replied that we were not whiners and that we just had legitimate complaints about the lack of care that we were receiving for the price we were paying and I called him a name back. He then confronted me and got in my face and said that if I called him that again he would slap me in my face! After threatening me with physical violence he then proceeded to call my Mom and family very bad names. All this was said in a veterans group in front of 10 to 15 people who were absolutely in shock by this interaction. I immediately left the group and filed a grievance with the program director and specifically asked the results to be emailed to me of which I have had no response so I am assuming that it never even got filed and they are just trying to cover it up. This event occurred on Tuesday, August 18th at approximately 10:15 to 10:30 am. I did file a report with the Grand Prairie Police Department regarding the physical threats of violence and I have a police report number if anyone is interested. I am currently pursuing legal action against Greenhouse for malpractice and verbal threats of physical violence against a patient and they will be hearing from my lawyers soon. I have absolutely no reason to make any of this up and I have numerous witnesses as to what occurred. I implore to you or your loved one who needs help that this facility is not the place to go. I left there in a worse condition than when I arrived. If anyone has any questions then please leave them in the comments and I will answer. Good luck to all of you who battle with Addiction and Depression. Regards

These ppl have been detrimental in renewing my mind and thought processing. I dont think as negative about everything anymore. If you're struggling, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take the leap and trust that God has a plan, and… this can be a great start! I've been to a few different places...this one is by far better! Im a very real person and this is my truth! We love you!
Fantastic!! This place saved my life! Shout out to all staff who made recovery possible!! I'll miss some of you. I'll see ya up the road sometime if God wills it.
He's the best out of all the staff and most supportive!
This place was amazing. Been to a rehab before it was total garbage. The staff was amazing. Artura made it fun. Stephen my therapist was amazing. Miss Julie the whole staff. Would definitely recommend this place for… people that are serious about recovering.
I had an amazing time here. 10/10 would recommend
I liked the staff. Beds are nice and food was great. Major bonus gettiny to keep your phone! There's just soo many patients (i think 150 beds) so if you're looking for a personal experience you may want to look… somewhere smaller.
Author is the BEST!! I absolutely love greenhouse and the staff thank you
I have attended the program at the Greenhouse Outpatient program previously and stayed at their Resolutions apartments. The first visit to the program was very good. Unfortunately, my second stay has not gone very well.… Upon transitioning to Greenhouse Outpatient program at Resolutions, I informed all of my providers about a knee injury I had sustained while Greenhouse “Inpatient”. I asked for an accommodation to be placed on the first floor due my limited knee mobility. I am actually wearing a brace to stabilize the support. Obviously this was not taken into consideration, and I was placed on the 3rd floor at the very back of the apartments no where near an elevator. The second day here the elevator was “Out of Order” which is not uncommon. I was advised here at the facility they could do nothing about it. I then addressed the issue with “All” of the staff and “All” my providers here and they said it was being discussed but it make take awhile for decision. Two days after initially reporting the request to move to the first floor, I submitted a complaint/ grievance regarding the issue and 6 days later I still do not have any type of response. Extremely Frustrated, Natalie
Drugs are bad love you guys so much I will always remember you -Trent
This has been the best place in the world for recovery, the therapists are amazing! (Shout out to Julie!) If you’re looking for a lot of good food this is the place for it lol! And Arturo is the best guy around the… building!
This place gave me the opportunity to change my life which I did. Today , I am employed happier sober ninety one days, however, I went 3 weeks without seeing my therapist.Once in outpatient (IOP). Granite, the therapist… did quit after a patient died in the inpatient treatment center.... Which the facility didn't even do some sort of mourning for her... Which I thought was really messed up.I don't know if they can't because of HIPPA.. BUT IT WAS VERY COLD. I i'm not some disgruntled previous Patient....in fact Todd gave me 36 days in there, which made all the difference in the inpatient. And for that, I'm gratefulInpatient experience was wonderful, but outpatient is a different story.Altogether, beware of that.If you want your thirty days , greenhouse is no better place... I highly recommend it for the inpatient
Great facility. Great staff. Grateful for the time here
I had an amazing experience and I highly recommend this rehab. Arturo A and all the staff really care and are the best
An amazing Recovery experience. They have every medical and psychological option available 24/7. I am grateful for Greenhouse and their compassion. I could not give them a higher recommendation.
Shout out to Linda Lee the culinary specialist is absolutely amazing at her job. The other day they were short staffed and she did it all. She cooked, she brought all of the heavy dishes out and made sure everyone was… served and taken care of. It also helps that she is absolutely beautiful inside and out. We love you Lee!!! Thank you. Love xoxo Aja Sober Alcoholic Addict
Great therapists, good meals, and a lot of patience with us. I was kept busier and I’m taking away the tools I need to stay sober. I’m moving on to their outpatient program and I’m going to go as far as I can and learn… everything I need to know to move forward in life.
From bottom to the top, everyone was great. It was a great place to start my recovery journey. Special thanks to Mark, Alex and especially Miss G.
I’ve been to several treatment centers in my life and I know the difference between ones that care and ones that don’t. Greenhouse treatment center was one of the best I’ve ever been to and I would recommend it to… anyone struggling.
Great experience, Great staff! Life changing! Thank you Arturo for all you do!!
Arturo is the real deal
Great place
Absolutely fantastic place. 10 outta 10 recommend 🙏🏾
This place seems a lot better than it really is. The nursing staff is not great. It takes forever to get your meds each day. The whole facility is poorly managed. It took over 5 hours until I got to to my room after… checking in. It took 4 days to get my luggage. The food is okay, sometimes good and sometimes bad. The classes are alright and you can get some useful information from them. You don’t see the doctor or nurse practitioner as often as you should. There should only be Doctors here specialized in addiction treatment and not nurse practitioners. There’s also literally nothing to do after your classes. There’s only a pool and a crappy gym. In your free time there’s literally no activities to do and it’s so boring. Some of the rooms are old and janky. Some people get nicer rooms than others and that’s not fair. They do let you keep your phone and laptop after 4-5 days. I would definitely consider other facilities before you choose this one if your insurance allows it. I’d never go here again if I would have to go back to treatment. I’d give this place a 2.5 star if I could but I’ll round up to 3.
