Henry Ford Behavioral Health – Southfield Detox and Rehab Services
Henry Ford Behavioral Health – Southfield appears on the register for residential treatment, partial hospitalization and sober living. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. Which of these is appropriate depends on an assessment, not on what sounds manageable at the time.
Both conditions are treated in parallel, which is what the research supports. Transitional accommodation appears on the record for the period after intensive treatment. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

Henry Ford Behavioral Health – Southfield Reviews and Ratings
Reviews of Henry Ford Behavioral Health appear in this section, gathered from around the web and from patients and families who share their experience on RehabSeekers.
This review is not based on the level of care. This review is based on the fact that this facility does not seem to care about the community around this facility. I have reached out several times living in close… proximity due to the volume of noise at unreasonable times of the morning and night. Nothing gets resolved permanently. The staff does not care I even called one night because they were so loud behind my home at 1am and the gentleman I spoke to did not care. I am writing this now because it is 11 at night on a Monday and I just got awakened out of my sleep again by a group of men yelling and laughing loudly behind our residential homes. Ever since Henry Ford took over for ascension it has become worse. You are not on a prison yard or a private island! You are in the middle of a community where people have children who have to get up for school, work, pay taxes for their homes and a lot of other reasons why it’s unfortunate that you don’t consider the peace of the people who actually live in this area day to day. Not just who work here or just here temporarily for recovery. Not even the decency to go on the side of the building because the voices carry and it echoes behind! Or in front of the building where the traffic from greenfield is already loud. Never thought having a home would be a nuisance because of this. No other neighbor who actually lives on this street is as loud and disrespectful. Yelling at 6 am in the morning. Yelling at random times of the night behind our homes! I was trying not to but If nothing changes expeditiously I’m going to have to report this facility to the city of Southfield with the years of proof of unreasonable noise disturbance I have. I would hope you all see this review and finally truly try to get a tight grip on your employees, the people you are trying to help, and consider the people living around this facility!
My MIl is being mistreated, they don’t care that they have to go to the bathroom, the one aid threw her bell on the other side of the bed so she wouldn’t ring it anymore, very dissapointed!
My experience here was the best around. Wonderful helpful staff very well run. Beds were comfy. Food was great. Learned a lot about myself and got tons of tools, coping skills, mindfulness teaching all groups… insightful, easy laundry, tons of supplies giving:) The brotherhood and connection were just what I needed. Thank you Eastwood. Only thing I wished was that the piano and guitars needed fixing:) Still got a lot out of it!!! Definitely coming back for Alumni, AA meeting or two and help with the garden this summer!
Went here back in 2019 it's the best help I could of wished for staff was amazing they helped me find myself again I have been sober since than and I am greatful 🙏
Thought I would be protected by hippa law but nope 🙅♂️
There’s a real brotherhood here great staff and great people in recovery working, Emma is a great counselor, Marvina is a great PRC,
I came here in September 2024 and have been sober ever since. This place is well run! Tons of food (I think this depends on how busy they are), groups and activities throughout the day, comfortable rooms you can relax… in during break or at night. You stay on the property for the most part, which is nice because you aren’t climbing in and out of a bus every day. They had free cigarettes and limitations on personal items, so there was no horse trading or funny business going on. Everybody was just focused on recovery. All of the techs and therapist were great (shoutout Charles!) and I would credit some of those groups for helping me make it this past year.
OMG!! Absolutely one of the greatest experience I have had. Staff was exceptional...each tech had their own spin on things while working their individual shifts. So you knew what you were getting from each tech. The… therapist went above and beyond and you never had to ask them for anything they all worked has a team. The Director was very good in her capacity.. consistent and treated all of us the same. Hopefully I will never have to come back....Thank You Eastwood!!
Where it all began for me!as addicts,we don't have many places that we are able to know always cares, will always be there for us,and will allow us to give back to others that come after us.nowhere else offers all that
Eastwood changed my direction, I was a living a very sad life that came very close to ending.I was an all day everyday user of opiates, methamphetamine and cocaine. When I came to Eastwood I was very sick, and I had no… possessions, and quite a bit of legal troubles. I learned there that I didn't need to be , and got the confidence to not be - the person who I hated that was killing me! I have been clean now 2 years exactly - today. I did the math while I was there and became comfortable with the idea it was going to take a very long time to get my life together .I never would have thought that in 2 years I would have my own place to live, the best job I've ever had , a driver's license and I am now more than welcome almost anywhere.I am still reminded occasionally of how I was , and it keeps me humble and non judgemental of others.
Update: this place obviously was sold. Eastwood recovery was amazing. I know nothing about these new guys and they corporate, so who knows how well the service will be. They were great before, but corporate ruins… everything. So be mindful of that when you read all of our reviews! I rarely leave reviews ever. But I’m not kidding, this place was a life saver. I’ve seen many lives saved coming from here. The staff was always amazing and it helps your recovery when you are with staff that actually want to make you better on top of the other people there for help. It was a great community and everyone had the same goal, to keep you clean, plain and simple. I would recommend this place to anyone that is serious about staying clean, bc if you’re not serious about sobriety, they won’t want you... bc you will be ruin other people’s Sobriety! Thanks for reading
Hi my name is Scott ..I went to eastwood in June 2024 iv been a drunk and drug addicted since I was 15 No matter how bad I wanted to stop using drugs I couldn’t. It seemed like it was impossible.…Eastwood Took their… time working with me ….they taught me about recovery and what it meant to be in recovery…I got One on one counseling That’s where I really got to dig deep and talk about things I never thought I would ….the Classes are great as well. I got to learn life skills And more useful knowledge that I still use today. I got to meet guys there that I’m still friends with and talk to on a daily basis. Eastwood helped me rebuild myself and save my life …they showed me that not everybody is out to hurt you or want something from you. Some people actually do care. And love you and want to see you do good things with your life …Eastwood are them people who care..I highly recommend Eastwood … oh and I’ll be a year drug free next month thanks Eastwood much love from Scott 😊
Turkey sandwiches for days and days, amazing staff. 78 paces long by 18 paces wide. 250 to 30 people crowded but amazing staff. the staff saved my life. tim, jeremy ty. i love you all. you let me solve my reality of my… life and addicton.
I would be dead right now if it wasn't for Eastwood. I left early stupidly and was allowed back in within a couple weeks despite policy. I got my life together now and could never thank Eastwood staff and brotherhood… enough
The staff is dedicated and they legit care about your recovery.
I was at Eastwood over 4 years ago now. My life has literally gotten better by the day since leaving there. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, I felt at home. The therapeutic staff are ALL incredible and… the medical staff are there to help in any way as well. I could go on and on about the amazing program that saved my life, but I’ll just say this….. I have 4 years, 2 months and 16 days clean and free of the bondage of addiction!! Eastwood has and always will have a special place in my heart!! I was taught to live life on life’s terms and the coping skills to get through the rough times. The most amazing thing about Eastwood is how the alumni can always return to visit. LOVE IT!!
This place is something seriously special. If you have a problem with drugs and or alcohol this is hands down where you can find freedom from active addiction. Eastwood!!!
If you're serious about recovery, getting and staying clean/sober, there's NO better place
Ascension help chat gave me this locations phone number for help as this is the sister location to a closed facility. I literally said hi and the reason I was calling, and the receptionist copped an attitude… immediately. She wasn't listening to what I was asking. She was so disrespectful, talked down to me and then hung up on me mid call! She should NOT be working at a facility that deals with mental health. Her attitude toward me for getting help could have KILLED someone who was trying to seek a therapist. I called headquarters to report her. If the owner of the facility reads this, I hope you record your phone calls and can hear how your employee spoke to someone who was referred to this location for help. I'll update this review once I hear back from my formal complaint. It was the receptionist working on Tuesday, July 25th at 11:15am.
Eastwood saved my life the staff are amazing and are in recovery also, great open talks with alumni and other addicts in program. The counselors are always involved and go above and beyond to help in anyway they can.… Eastwood recovery is by far the best place to get help with addiction. NO FEAR EASTWOOD!!!
Amazing place, Amazing staff, and Amazing help
This place has a wonderful history of helping people get their lives together and back on track
Eastwood saved my life it’s the only rehab that I’ve completed the staff are amazing they really care about the clients it’s a brother hood I’ve still got peoples number from 2 years ago and still talk with them there… like family
Wonderful and professionally ran by all staff Tech members
Eastwood is the only Treatment center I have ever been to. I've been 2 months clean. No plans of going backwards. Aka black Floyd
One of a kind intense therapeutic curriculum, awesome people, unique alumni program. However Ascension treats them like a red headed step child when it comes to food delivery. The situation can vary from each person… having enough to what i can only estimate to be 1000 (far short of what a recovering body needs to heal) or less calories per day per client. This is however a situation likely beyond the control of the program coordinator.
