Horizon Health Services Inc – Niagara Falls Detox and Rehab Services
The register shows Horizon Health Services Inc – Niagara Falls providing intensive outpatient and outpatient care. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.
The record does not show integrated provision, so confirm this if it matters. Medication-assisted treatment combines approved medication with counseling and clinical review. Ask directly about session times and frequency, as those details decide whether someone can realistically attend.

Horizon Health Services Inc – Niagara Falls Address, Location and Contact Information
You will find this provider at 2400 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, New York, 14301. Niagara County covers this area. Provision extends to the wider area, so check the journey before you set off. How someone gets there matters more than it sounds: travel is one of the commonest reasons a course of treatment stops partway.
It is worth calling first to confirm access, parking and the shape of a first visit. Where travel is difficult, ask whether an initial appointment can be held remotely. Reception hours vary, so a call that goes unanswered once is worth repeating rather than treating as a dead end.

miss an appointment or two because of work they will cut you off in a heartbeat
This place was the worst place to go They didn't really help me
Been going here for years. I like it. Only thing is, I’m always getting switched to a new counselor because they leave and I always have to start over with someone new. It’s frustrating
I was a patient at horizon for six years for mental health. I had a wonderful experience. I felt my medication and mental health was well managed. Two months ago the nurse had changed. I tried to refill my medication… the same medication I've been taking for six years. I was told I could not get a refill until I see the new nurse. Not only was my appointment three weeks out they called and cancelled the Thursday before my Monday appointment and of course they're closed Fridays. Tried to figure out what I could do under the circumstances. I had called and tried to speak with several people many times for 2 weeks straight with the same go-around. I also asked if I could at least have a bridge of my medication until my next appointment.... Mind you the one I had to reschedule because THEY canceled mine. This has been the worst experience I have ever encountered. To abruptly be taken off my medication without being tapered down dealing with withdrawals and the decline of my mental health is something you would think they would take serious. After 2 weeks of pleading and trying to get medication. I finally get a call back and they had the audacity to ask if I could talk to my primary about getting a bridge until my appointment which wasn't for three more weeks..... Unreal! They won't give me a bridge because I haven't met with the new nurse but it's okay for my primary to? Being off my medication for a month after abruptly stopping them and to have an appointment to get an evaluation on my current mental health is not going to be where it was a month ago due to their policies. Lack of patient care..... Zero compassion or consideration. Should definitely reevaluate their policies and also reevaluate how their policies could have a dangerous outcome for their patients.....
I've been going to this dang place for a year and they will not help me get medication and then when I finally go off about not getting medication they stop seeing me and telling me they cannot no longer give any help
Don’t bother going here. I went to Horizons for substance use and mental health counseling. The Nurse Practitioner mocked me for having gone to detox twice when I was going for substance use(over 9 months clean without… their help). Then they never gave me any paperwork saying I had to see their counselor to receive medication management, made me wait two months for an appointment to see their Nurse Practitioner after being discharged from BryLin, and Catherine the Director closed my case the day before I was to see their Nurse Practitioner for medication management. I developed agoraphobia and couldn’t do their Intensive Outpatient Program in person, and they gave that as a reason for discharge, even though I’m on social security disability FOR agoraphobia. It’s ok though, they’ll be getting a visit from the state, because I ALWAYS keep documentation!
Very good people there, helpful, friendly, and caring.
dropped me after a single mental health episode and trying to charge me a "family therapy" session that never happened. communication was horrible, never coming back here.
Horizon staff are such a fantastic team. They are all working to help me through an insurance/deductible issue. I have an amazing counselor who actually listens and cares. She saved me from harming myself. Best decision… I made was to try them. Thank you to an amazing team of people ❤️
They are caring and loving just like family
Why are you closed a hr early it’s the weekend almost and I can’t get my per scription after being told they were working on it
I've been part of this program for 7mths. and it has helped me significantly in my recovery journey. One thing that stood out to me was how angry I was. Graduated and getting better one day at a time ty.
Thank you Horizon Health Services. You have provided my family and I with support above and beyond! 😘
The number one problem my family and I have with this place is communication. As compared to a typical Psychiatrist it is very difficult to reach the Provider in a mental health emergency for advice. You get the… runaround. They need to be more involved with the patient's family as well. Just so they can give information the patient can't express! As far as new prescriptions after hospitalization, they need to have a quicker method to get new scripts especially if they need prior auth. The patient needs their meds ASAP not 2 days later. That may be detrimental to patient if they don't get meds right away.
The white program director openly admitted that she may have some micro aggressions. Keep in mind this was said after I complained that my boyfriend, who is a person of color was discriminated against. I used to… recommend this place to people. It's clear over the years they have turned into the McDonald's of drug/mental health treatment.
It was a good place to go but now for over the past few months it's getting worse and worse. The day of your appointment they cancel it and then they make you wait and wait for another appointment because there's… already people scheduled. I don't think that's fair. I have been waiting over 8 weeks to see my counselor and it was for today and it was canceled and now they want me wait another 11 more weeks before I see her. That's 19 weeks and I'm going to have a freaking meltdown. They should put me in front of somebody who's already seen her
Wonderful place, everyone is friendly and helpful. Shana is an amazing therapist and doctor is super understanding, no one shames. Facility is super clean and cozy.
I thought long and hard about this review I must warn others. This is not a safe place at all. Especially if you are a women who is in domestic violence or has trauma. Dr. Hoensee is a bad doctor and needs to retire. I… gave him grace after my first appt maybe he was having a rough day. But every appt he treated me aweful. I would leave in tears. He berated me, and made me feel worthless. I dreaded coming there after I just left home after being put down. I told my counselor and the staff and was pretty much gaslighted by them. One staff member was honest and told me he has done this to other clients. The last appt he treated me so bad I left and never went back. My coping skills were not good I was still using drugs on and off at that point . I did have 7 days clean and was feeling better. After the appt I was so upset and crying all the way home I just gave up my seven days and used. I got some bad stuff and overdosed . I almost died my abuser saved my life I trained him with narcan. The front desk ladies are unprofessional and sit on there phones. They don't respect our community. They see us as less then them. Whatever you do don't go to terrace house. They will push that on you that place is worse. Please go to another outpatient service all together. Every horizon I have dealt with is terrible. You have been warned. I have a high level of self awareness and I know I came in with alot of issues ,but that was the reason I came to work thru them. Since I left I have taken a whole different approach and I am happy to say I have some clean time and am working on my issues in a safe space. I am not being forced to sit in groups with men and do things that honestly are a waste of my time and didn't help me. I have a personal treatment plan for me that works I thrive in one on one sessions. Good luck to all of you. Please don't choose any horizon go somewhere else for your own safety. Also if there is any horizon higher ups that read this feel free to reach out to me and I will explain what I went through. This needs to stop and change right away! Thank you.
Please try another place!! I wish yall the best and hope you find an educated therapist with empathy and compassion. Idk which therapist justified my narcissistic ex wife hostile behaviors.
Very good service from the counselors as well as a calm, quiet environment in the waiting area.
Dr Jodi stay away for her she is rude very uncaring and just when your meds are starting to work she cuts them off I was having a bad time in my life tryed talking with her she didn't want to hear anything I had to say… very unprofessional sad when she is a mental health doctor u don't play with peoples meds when they are working
Stay away from jodi m a doctor for mental health she is unprofessional rude non caring and will screw you over. Be careful you have been warned!
