About InterCommunity Healthcare – Blue Hills Avenue, Hartford

500 Blue Hills Avenue in Hartford puts InterCommunity Healthcare inside a short drive of Blue Hills, West Hartford and the towns around them. West Hartford, East Hartford, Wethersfield and Weatogue all sit within 8 miles of the door. Hartford sits in Hartford County, and the county’s own provision is limited enough that this site draws from a wide area.

InterCommunity Healthcare delivers detox and residential treatment. Federal registration is held through SAMHSA and licensing through the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. Buprenorphine, methadone or naltrexone can be prescribed alongside therapy. Trauma-specific treatment is available here. Ask whether family can be involved and at what stage.

Just like a toxic relationship, they don't know how to pick up the phone. Especially when you need it the most. Find a better support system because this one will leave you with nothing as everything around you is… crumbling all at once. This might be that straw if you us them as a support system. Don't trust this company. Find a better place. I just LOVE how they can respond to a one star comment faster than the calls that their patients place. 🙄 It REALLY shows how much they care GENUINELY care about their patients complaints... Forget the fact that this has been happening for YEARS. 🙄

Luckily the only positive part of this experience is my doctor. The front desk people are horrible and not once has the front desk EVER answered the phones. I’ve had medical emergencies and left to deal with them alone.… I’ve never experienced such horrible customer service shame on that entire office staff. Don’t sign up to help addicts then look down on them.

No one answers the phone, weeks on end of leaving voicemails and not a single returned call. Transportation was an issue, the social worker claims to have put info in to veyo for medical transportation...2 months later… they haven't received it and I'm left without medications that keep me sober. Again, absolutely never answer the phone, so how could you reschedule or get medications that are necessary. The APRN and nurse are wonderful, but the company itself is failing people. They seem to answer google reviews faster than the phone.

Inter Community, 40 Coventry St, Hartford CT. I’ve had a very good experience with InterCommunity Health. The staff is welcoming, respectful, and genuinely cares about patient well-being. From the front desk to the… doctors and counselors, everyone takes the time to listen and provide support without judgment. Their integrated approach to healthcare—covering physical, behavioral, and mental health—makes it easier to get comprehensive care in one place. The medical team explains treatment options clearly and works with you to find what fits best. Wait times can vary, but overall, the quality of care and compassion shown by the providers more than make up for it. They also offer helpful resources for recovery, wellness, and community support, which shows they’re truly invested in helping people improve their lives.

Intake appointment was smooth. I was seen by very compassionate APRN Heather and had visit with behavioral specialist. My first therapy session is scheduled for October. I have high hopes.

Nicole is incredible as a therapist!! She's empathetic, kind and genuinely listens and cares about how I've been and how I can feel better. She gets back to my messages on voicemail if I ask her to or just allows me to… vent on her voicemail if needed. I truly look forward to seeing her each visit. A huge stress reliever and a safe space in her office.

I'm very disappointed in intercommunity you guys penalized me because there wasn't enough Suboxone in my system but Sonya knew I had to stop taking them while I was taking all of those antibiotics other meds we talked… about it on my last appointment and then she switched up on me when she knew that my levels were going to be very low and she still penalized me from a month to a week that's wrong as heck I did nothing wrong I'm going to find myself another program you make me feel like I'm still using the way I'm being treated seriously
