These people really have an innate sense of caring, patience, and work ethic. I felt safe, even in moments when feeling like I wasn't The nursing staff, especially Anya, was sa gentle with us/me. They never made you… feel as if you were too much or too needy Staff was available 24/7 to handle every sinale need across the board. The rooms all have a/c, the beds were comfortable enough, laundry on-site, plenty of things that you may have forgotten. The chef, Chanel, is a gem and people would be lucky to experience her cooking in your life. She is one of the highlights of our day during the week! My counselor, Kade, had a knack for making me open up with very gentle poking and prodding. I ending up staying longer than I had intended because I wabted more from the experience than detox. I recommend this facility in leiu of any other that I have been to. I appreciate all of you so much for introducing me to sobriety and a whole lot of support.

The care team at The Jackson House is truly exceptional. My entire experience was great and I felt very supported and cared for. The facilities, meals, and nursing staff ensured that the entire treatment process was a… pleasant experience.

The Jackson House literally saved my life!!! The staff was caring, firm, loving and responsive❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ including Monica. She had to be stern and tough because she is dealing with alcoholics and drug users.she was… polite and respectful.

My time in the Jackson House recovery center on E st in San Diego was amazing. Where do I start from the staff to the counselors, very professional they cared for me as if I was family In their own home. The compassion… I got along with the tough love strait from Monica 😁 was just what I needed. Shoutout to Brad with my discharge, Brittney as my counselor and Bill up in nursing along will his staff I couldn’t have asked for a better team for my stay. Vanessa the late night nurse can’t forget her. Jazzy so caring and easy to work with on the insurance side. Congrats to Rownan and his lady on the baby, Jose how he never stops smiling. Joanna always ready to help between her and Jose if they can’t bring a smile out of you I don’t think your capable to smile. Who else the afternoon staff I’m sorry I’m just being honest I cant remember all your names but you always wear black with real curly hair so, so nice also Stephanie and the green eyes girl so sweet ! Anthony thank you for all the rides, Kade for the walks and last but not least kiss the cook. JHRC is a great place to comfortably & safely recover. The entire staff shows they genuinely care and were so accommodating and supportive. The food is excellent & well stocked, the whole facility including the… community areas and rooms are clean and well maintained. The aftercare/ discharge team provides the best setup plan possible for your continued sobriety as well as any help and support needed to alleviate and resolve any outside issues that you may have while in their care. The groups and meetings are engaging, encouraging and provide a safe place to learn and grow. Thank you for everything JHRC.

I cannot express my gratitude enough to everyone at Jackson House. Before I got there I was experiencing homelessness, suffering from addiction and struggling with mental health. I had nowhere to turn for help. It was… during a doctor’s appointment where I was trying to figure out a place to live and how to get help for my mental health and addiction issues that Jackson House reached out to me. Within hours the staff put together everything I needed. They were able to get me a bed the very next morning so I could get off the streets and finally start attending to a problem that was making it impossible to manage my life. Even though I was scared and nervous, from the very first phone call to the very last day they made me feel welcomed and supported. Theirs is a judgment free care. I could feel the devotion and care they showed me and everyone else. The entire staff cares so much about the people that come through their program. From the PCS’s (Monica, Jose, Joanna, Cassandra, Rohan (congrats on the baby!!) Caitlyn, Stephanie, Sabrina and all the rest) to the nurses (Bill, Teresa, Iana, the whole nursing team that took care of me,) the discharge planners (thank you Brad and Aurea for setting me up with the aftercare I needed and for reassuring me when I was nervous to leave Jackson House,) Brittany, Kennedy and Kade (absolute angels) and the cooks (Anthony and especially my homegirl Chef Chanel 🙏🏻 bless you for making me fat during my recovery 🫶🏻.) But there are two people I need to give a special thank you too. Andrew, one of the group facilitators, and my counselor Robert. Being a gay man who has struggled with acceptance from within the LGBTQIA+ community and outside it, having these two men there to hold my hand, to show me that it’s ok, to let me know that I’m not alone, and who made me feel so safe and helped me start to feel ok in my own skin was life saving for me. Andrew is the type of facilitator who will pull you towards recovery because he can sense when you need help and lets you know it’s ok to speak it. Robert is the type of counselor who makes you feel comfortable every time he facilitates or during one of his individual sessions with you. After my first group with both of them they checked on me everyday. They talked to me, they asked me how I was doing, they held me accountable, they gave me advice and they made me laugh. It might sound like a cliche but I truly never felt more seen by two individuals. Thank you to everyone at Jackson House. I am here. I am alive. I have a home. And I am continuing on the path to recovery thanks to you all of and what you ALL taught me. I will never forget it.

Great staff, great food, great support.

I had a great expirience. The staff was friendly, compassionate, and accomodating. They have an excellent program structure: process/educational groups, breaks, in-house AA/NA meetings(with visiting speakers), outside… meetings, onsite nurses, great counselors, recreational time, consistently delicious food, clean open facility, and free time. I would recommend this residential treatment to anyone seeking help.

Getting the opportunity to be a client at JHRC was truly a blessing. The staff from top to bottom were caring, committed, and passionate about recovery. They gave me the tools, knowledge, and confidence to move onto the… next stage of my sober journey. I will always be grateful for Jackson House!!

Had a great experience at JHRC. I have been to a few treatment centers and Jackson House was the first place I didn’t feel like a number. They do an incredible job of creating a sense of community within the house. The… staff were all so helpful and kind. Special shout out to Brad. He went above and beyond advocating for me in my aftercare plan while allowing me a sense of agency in my treatment. He got me set up with a discharge plan that makes me feel confident in moving to my next steps in my recovery. All in all I would happily recommend JHRC to anyone struggling with addiction.

Jackson House Recovery Center exceeded my expectations. The amount of individual focus was extremely helpful in my recovery process. The staff is amazing and will drop everything to for you if you need to express… yourself or have personal concerns. The food was great. The nursing staff is available 24/7. I would recommend this place to anyone needing support with addiction.

Jackson House truly saved my life and I can’t believe how pleasant of an experience it was for my first time in Rehab. All of the staff from PCS, counselors, discharge planners, and nurses are top notch and I could not… have done this without them. Beyond grateful for my time there and the connections I have made which will continue to support me in my recovery. My mother who has worked in the industry for 10+ years also agrees that JH is one of the best out there.

The Jackson House saved my life. They helped me find myself again. The support from the entire staff was life changing. Shout out to Cade, yareli, Brady, Sabrina, Katelyn, Anthony, Brad, Gio, Ariea and all of the other… staff in the Jackson House! If anyone is in need to help to get yourself on the road to sobriety, go to the Jackson House. I am extremely blessed to have landed there and got the tools and confidence to continue my sobriety journey. - update I had to return to the Jackson house and stayed another 4 weeks. The staff welcomed me back with open arms! They're extremely supportive and didn't give me any grief about my relapse. I've received the upmost support from all of the staff and other clients. They've continued to pick me up when I didn't have the strength. They truly care about our sobriety and quality of life ❤️

JHRC is the best rehab center ever! They have helped me through my sobriety and helped me learn new coping skills for my recovery. Staff is amazing, Chanel is an amazing cook, Kade is the best councilor, and Brad helped… me a lot with my discharge to get me on the right path to success. 100% would recommend to others for a path to lifelong sobriety.

My time at Jacksons house was a blessing all the staff were kind warm welcoming, except Monica. My counselor Aurea was great give her a raise. I’m happy to say that Jackson’s house was apart of my sobriety journey and… helping me with aftercare. Honorable mention to Brad a friendly awesome bodacious man. Would highly recommend if you’re struggling with addiction.

Asking for help is isn’t giving up. It’s refusing to give up. Jackson House Addiction Treatment and Recovery Center in Golden Hill, San Diego, saved me when I felt lost and hopeless. Years of struggling with addiction… led me to their doors, where I finally found hope and the strength to heal. I genuinely owe my life to their program and the unwavering support they offered. One of the best things about Jackson House is its aftercare program, led by Melissa. She is the heart and soul of aftercare. Her kindness and creativity make every Saturday morning alumni meeting in the park a safe place where we can be honest about our struggles and our victories. She has a real gift for bringing people together, and her commitment to each of us surpasses what I could expect. Whether you’re still in the program or returning as an alum, you’re welcomed with open arms and genuine care. Melissa’s leadership has helped create a caring community where everyone feels supported. The Saturday meetings are more than just talking. Sometimes we share a potluck, play games, go on hikes, volunteer, or even spend a day at the beach together. Melissa organizes all of this with a lot of love and attention. She truly cares about our sobriety and growth. I’ve been sober for over three years now, and I still look forward to these meetings every week. They are my anchor and my inspiration to keep moving forward. The support I’ve found at Jackson House, especially from Melissa, is something I wish everyone on this journey could have. I’m truly grateful for this program and the community that keeps me going. Five stars just isn’t enough!

This place is amazing I had the best experience here. Any one looking for a treatment center, I’d recommend you come here the staff is amazing the food and overall great experience. Jackson house Recovery Center was awesome! Great fun environment, lots of support and love. Good structure which helped me build a solid routine and good habits for my new sober life. Food was awesome and staff was very… helpful. Highly recommend!!

My experience at Jackson House totally changed my life for the better. The staff and facilities were great. Especially Brady as my discharge planner. He is a veteran also and worked with me from day 1 and really went… above and beyond. I am eternally grateful for Bradys guidance. He facilitated me accomplishing so much in a short time. I also want to acknowledge Andrew who facilitated some of the most meaningful groups that will stay with me long term. Chanel the chef was great and helped me to pick up a few pounds! :) All of the staff really care about the people. Thank you Joyce for putting this team together. I hope more veterans have the chance to come to Jackson House.

This places helped me out more than I could imagine. First time getting treated for alcohol the staff was friendly made it feel like a home. The nurses were amazing and treated you with the most care .The counselors and… the classes gave me so much information that I was unaware of about my addiction and how to treat it and how to prepare myself when I got out of the program. I did a one month program in house I am 32 days sober thanks to the jackson house family. Mentally and physically feel great. And last but not least the chef there is top notch she can cook it all we were provided 3 delicious meals a day . Hats off to the program.

I had a truly positive experience at Jackson House in Golden Hill. The staff was incredibly friendly, supportive, and accommodating from day one, creating an environment where I felt safe and genuinely cared for. One of… the most valuable parts of my time there was learning new tools and strategies for coping with stress, managing triggers, and framing conversations in healthier, more productive ways. The program helped me build confidence and gave me practical skills I can continue using in everyday life. I also made many new sober friends who understood the journey and provided encouragement and support along the way. The sense of community and accountability was something I will always appreciate.
