Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health – Lutherville Timonium Address, Location and Contact Information
Records give the address as 1447 York Road, Lutherville Timonium, Maryland, 21093. The city lies within Baltimore County. The catchment reaches beyond the city itself. Public transport, parking and the length of the journey all affect whether someone completes a course of treatment, and they are worth settling before the first appointment rather than after.
It is worth calling first to confirm access, parking and the shape of a first visit. If getting there is hard, ask about a remote first appointment. Reception hours vary, so a call that goes unanswered once is worth repeating rather than treating as a dead end.

Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health – Lutherville Timonium Reviews and Ratings
What patients and their families say about Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health sits alongside the licensing and accreditation detail on this page. Reading the two together gives a fuller picture of this Lutherville Timonium program than either gives alone.
Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health provided excellent care and support during my recovery journey. Lisa Stalnaker was compassionate, knowledgeable, and truly invested in my success. Her encouragement and guidance made… a meaningful difference in my progress. She was always supportive, understanding, and committed to helping me succeed. I am grateful for the support I received and would highly recommend Kolmac to anyone seeking help and recovery services. The care and encouragement I received have had a lasting positive impact on my life.
My inspiring experience at Kolmac, I was compelled to seek intensive rehab by my specialist. Reason being to do otherwise would mean the surgeons wouldn't operate. My blood scores gave me 18 months. I was in a wheel… chair, Could barely walk, Everything hurt. I was a pretty useless human at the time. I chose Kolmac because I couldn't get somewhere in person. Looking back it was the best way for me to get over my skepticism of rehab or therapy. I'm older gen x, sorry its in my nature. It took about 3 weeks before it sunk in. I realized I had no time left. I looked at that 18 months. This is what I have to work with. I control this last 18. I'm going to fake it if I have to. I did at first but, turns out my self is pretty gullible. Kolmac helped me get my mind right. I got better at dealing with bad news. Loved ones started to notice. I started to meditate when I couldn't sleep. I prayed to God. Don't let my last days be the sad part of a country song. Then my scores started to improve. I physically improved. I had more time, which coincided with the gift of a living donor. Then setbacks. A rollercoaster. All the while I had the soft pillow of Kolmac friends to help. Everyone has their monster. My health was mine. There is a special bond that you developed with other recovering alcoholics. I notice we seek each other out at parties. The battle of recovery is brutal and I learned a lot from my fellow Kolmac warriors and waryetts I love and care about them like family which makes it so hard to move on. So back to the grind. Life doesn't always go the way I want. I have the tools to deal with it. I've found peace and happiness in the quiet spaces of my day. I've come a long way in 18 months. I trust my sobriety which in turn inspires others and makes them happy. Paul
Going in I was apprehension as the program is intensive. But after one group session, I felt completely at ease. I began looking forward to groups, and meeting with my counselor. They keep in touch with you… intermittently throughout the program to make sure that you’re adjusting to Kolmac. Safety, and accountability are also of the utmost importance, which I truly appreciated. Overall, Kolmac gave me more tools to add to my toolbelt, while keeping me engaged and challenging me. I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you, Kolmac and Lisa!
I have many mixed emotions about my Kolmac experience. I had thought that I had built a wonderful connection with my group and our facilitator during the many weeks of IOP. So much so that I requested that our group… members and counselor would stay together for Continuing Care. This idea was shared by many members of my group including the counselor. It seemed important and essential for all of us to remain sober. However, it apparently wasn't so in the eyes of Kolmac. After attending just one CC meeting I was told that the group was too big and that the availability of our counselor had changed. I was asked to move to another group where I knew no one. I remain disappointed by this and I very much miss the friends I made during my Kolmac experience. Frankly, I now question the sincerity of the things that were said and taught at Kolmac. Lastly, the at-home medical detox care was excellent. The medical team is beyond reproach.
Through the guidance of Lisa Stalnaker I was able to successfully complete the program at Kolmac and achieve sobriety. She provided a welcoming and nonjudgmental environment where I felt comfortable sharing my… experiences. I highly recommend the Kolmac program and Lisa in helping me and others achieve recovery.
Kolmac is amazing! The counselors and staff go out of their way to ensure you succeed in your recovery. I highly recommend them.
If you had asked me on my first day at Kolmac what I thought about the program, I probably would have told you it was a waste of my time. I didn't want to be there. I didn't want to participate in group. In fact, I made… it my personal mission to prove that I didn't have to. I was angry, defensive, and convinced that nobody could tell me anything I didn't already know. Today, I am 81 days sober from alcohol, Adderall, and Xanax, and I can say without hesitation that Kolmac saved my life. The structure of the program held me accountable when I wasn't ready to hold myself accountable. What I expected to be the most frustrating part of treatment—group therapy—became the most meaningful part of my recovery. I especially want to recognize my counselor, Lisa. There simply aren't enough words to describe the impact she has had on my life. She has an extraordinary ability to make every person in the room feel seen, understood, challenged, and supported all at the same time. She doesn't just facilitate groups—she builds a community where people learn how to be honest with themselves and with one another. I have worked with many mental health professionals over the years, and Lisa is truly one of a kind. Just as important as Lisa were the people in my group. We came from different backgrounds, careers, and life experiences, but addiction has a way of reminding you that we all have more in common than we realize. Those relationships became one of the strongest parts of my recovery. We celebrated victories together, carried each other through difficult days, and reminded one another that none of us had to do this alone. One phrase a fellow group member shared during my very first week has become something I carry with me every single day: "Play the tape forward." That simple reminder has helped me make countless healthy decisions and continues to guide my recovery. Recovery didn't just give me my sobriety back—it gave me my hope back. It gave me my future back. It gave me the ability to experience life without constantly trying to escape it. To anyone reading this who is scared, skeptical, or convinced treatment won't work: I understand, because I was you. I fought this program every step of the way in the beginning. Now I can't imagine my life without what Kolmac gave me. Thank you to everyone at Kolmac for believing in me before I believed in myself. I will always be grateful.
Hi my name is samuel. My experience join the kolmac is good not great. This is my issue: i had copay 10 dollars but i was paying 20 to 80 dollars during the iop sessions. Sometimes the link did not function well so i… pay extra sometimes. I hope kolmac well manager better and communication use email was okay. Sometimes the staff did not answer. But i am glad gradulate and meet great people.
Looking into IOP can be a daunting task, because the process is intense and can make you feel anxious. But dealing with Kolmac from the people who walk you through the process on the phone in the beginning, to the… counselors (shout out to Lisa and Katelynn) in group and individual sessions, everyone was absolutely wonderful. All the folks I met in group were the best and in large part due the people I met there I completed the program in such a better place mentally and spiritually I still can’t come up with the words of appreciation to thank them enough! The process is the the payoff! Kolmac was great! Thank you for everything! Highly recommend!
Kolmac will save your life, literally. They are great at creating a treatment plan to meet every individual person, and the medication certainly makes it easy to quit drinking. My facilitator, Lisa Stalnaker, is the… absolute best. She is so caring and attentive to each and every patient, and really makes the meetings enjoyable, fun, and engaging. I can't say enough great things about her. I highly recommend Kolmac to anyone struggling with addiction.
Lisa and Katelynn are rockstars and have helped tremendously with my addiction by providing applicable (real life) coping skills and techniques, and for just being incredibly people both professionally and personally! I… cannot recommend Kolmac enough and I am so grateful that their IOP programming was able to work around my (always busy) schedule!
An amazing team who truly cares about their patients and their loved ones. Would recommend Kolmac to anyone!!
I love Kolmac’s IOP program. Crystal Johnson runs a good group! I love how she runs the group and the topics she brings and the discussions. Great place to be to keep our sobriety!
Recently I completed my IOP with Lisa Stalnaker and Katelynn Marshall. If I could leave more stars I would. I have done Kolmac before (do not judge my relapse to Kolmac's program, that is all me) and when I needed to, I… came back- paying out of pocket- because the program my provider (name drop, Kaiser) did not offer the structure Kolmac does. I know I made the right choice. Doing IOP on zoom is much different from in-person and it demands a counselor who can fully engaged the entire group, read the room, and to be able to provide feedback. It is not easy to be fully engaged on a zoom call for 3 hours for anything, much less therapy type shares, and Lisa does it while exceeding expectations. She listens, shares with the right amount of connecting in, and keeps her distance as appropriate. She has a wonderful sense of humor and a deep sense of humility and gratitude. Katelynn has the thankless task of checking in and encouraging a plan for success. She is professional, encouraging, and does a great job of communicating. Again, I need more stars. I would never want to deal with a bunch of "me-s" and Kolmac (Lisa and Katelynn) do it well.
I'm so grateful for my time at Kolmac. Throughout my IOP (intensive outpatient program) and CC (continuing care) treatment, your staff consistently responded to me with the empathetic respect and support that I needed… during a time when I felt vulnerable and defeated after relapse. In particular, I want to thank the psychiatric practitioner, Dr. Chuku, for his thoughtful and collaborative approach to MAT. And I truly appreciate my counselor, Kathleen Harvey, for her wholehearted dedication to my (and all her patients'!) wellbeing. In her groups, she nurtures a warm, encouraging, and nonjudgmental atmosphere that helped me become comfortable opening up about past trauma. Like Dr. Chuku, she worked collaboratively with me, and her broad knowledge of addiction and recovery was tremendously helpful in deciding on my treatment plan goals. I highly recommend Kolmac Outpatient for others who have relapsed after years of sobriety.
Thanks for Kolmac Towson and Crystal--what a wonderful recovery journey! Highly recommend! Long-term sobriety achieved!
Hi my name is Ronald and I am writing this review to recognize Lisa Stainaker and Katelynn Marshall for all of the dedicated also the hard work that they have given to me throughout my alcohol recovery process. Lisa and… Katelynn have always answered my emails and phone calls immediately subsequently they have been such a great help and inspiration towards my alcohol recovery.. They both seem to have great memories about subjects on which we have discussed about me as an individual and matters about my relationships with my family. All the conversations that I had with them reassured to me that I was in a safe place when discussing my issues with them and that the confidentiality would not be broken. They both are very supportive with any concerns that I might have had. Lisa was always listening and even shared some of her life experiences with me which made me feel like she could definitely understand.me.Lisa is definitely a consonant professional at what she does. Her knowledge, wisdom, inspiration and caring is amazing. Katelynn has never let me down, she has always answered all of my questions with her knowledge and experience. Katelynn is a very good listener and a extremely good communicator. She has always checked on my welfare to see if I needed anything. Katelynn has advised of each step of this process and what to expect without missing a beat. Lisa and Katelynn have been very instrumental in my recovery in letting me know that I matter first above all other people or issues. I feel that when I first reached out for help with my alcoholism they supported me every step of the way. I am SOBER and with their assistance my sobriety will remain in tact. They both are very professional in what they do, trust me on that. When KOLMAC hired those two I believe KOLMAC hit the jack pot. I continue to participate in the Continued Care program and I feel great again.
Extremely friendly staff!!!
Kolmac has a great IOP program. They really do care about their patients and want them to get the help they need. They're considerate about our requests as patients and do their best to accomodate. The groups are a good… size and the meetings fly by. If you make a mistake or slip up during your recovery they won't just kick you to the curb like other programs (i.e., Ashley). My instructor, Bert was great and very nice and pleasant to work with. Thanks, Kolmac. :)
The Kolmac IOP is very thorough and effective. Crystal is an incredible counselor and treats each patient with respect and kindness. The format of the program is well thought out and Kolmac has been invaluable to my… recovery.
I am deeply grateful for the support I’ve received from Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health. With their guidance, encouragement, and education, I’ve been able to reach nearly 6 months of sobriety; something I once… thought would be impossible. What I appreciate most is that Kolmac doesn’t just focus on recovery, but on truly equipping you with the tools and knowledge to succeed in everyday life. The staff is compassionate, professional, and genuinely invested in each person’s journey. The educational sessions have been eye-opening and practical, helping me better understand myself, my triggers, and how to build a healthier lifestyle. Sobriety is not easy, but having Kolmac by my side has made all the difference. They’ve created a safe space where I feel supported, respected, and empowered to keep moving forward. I would highly recommend Kolmac to anyone seeking not just treatment, but real transformation.
This place thinks that gabapenton is a detox medicine for alcohol. They put you on Antibuse which is not a good medicine at all. Just - don’t go to this place if you don’t have to.
I was referred to this clinic by the VA, and I have to admit I felt a bit hesitant at first. However, looking back, this has truly been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The staff and clinicians here are… exceptional, and I felt genuinely cared for throughout my experience. Crystal, my clinician, was incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, and her guidance gave me the tools I needed to find success. The program itself is thoughtfully structured, which made a real difference for me. I wholeheartedly recommend this clinic to anyone seeking help!
Kolmac has changed my life. I started Kolmac earlier this summer and I truly cannot believe how quickly my life has done 180. I started the program with a four day detox from alcohol. Everything is outpatient, which… helped calm my nerves with something that can be a little scary and overwhelming. I worked closely with the nurse Kandace, who was there for me every step of the way. She checked in every couple hours to see how I was doing and let me know which medications to take. She was also available throughout the whole process for any and all questions I had. This made me realize how much she really cared about her patients and wanted to see them get better. After completing the detox part of the program, I moved on to the IOP group support. This is not something I originally realized was included in the program and I am so glad it is. It is led by our counselor, Bert, who offers great insight and support and has made it such a warm and welcoming environment. In general, the group is a lot of the same people for every session, which has made you get to know one another and really understand each others stories. I truly relate to them in a way I haven't with my friends and family. This has been comforting in a way I didn't know was possible. From the nurses, counselors, admin workers, etc, I couldn't say better things about Kolmac. I have had such such a wonderful experience so far, and I look forward to moving on from IOP to continued care to keep getting the help I need. :)
Crystal Johnson is my continuing care facilitator and she is excellent! She creates an amazing atmosphere of trust within our group. We are given plenty of time to process and she takes the time reinforce key points… with educational sessions. Highly recommend!
I was extremely afraid of going through DTs and acoustic hallucinations again. It ended me up in the hospital when I quit cold turkey the first time .I was very hesitant but I needed help. The first few sessions felt… like home and then when I started the actual detox I didn't have any sweats no, itching, no bug crawling effect, and more importantly no DTS or hallucinations. The nurses there that helped were awesome and they checked up on me almost every 2 hours or so told my caregiver, my fiance, what meds to give me and I basically just got better every single day. I'm only on day five but I feel great. And I have absolutely no urges to drink already. The group sessions are also very helpful and there's no shame or guilt tripping people everybody has the same story it seems. Similar in many ways. It's like home.
Counselor Dee is a pretty solid guy, and has your best interest in mind. However, this place is a complete money grab, they randomly withdraw random amounts of money from your bank account at random times throughout the… week. For absolutely no reason at all. And when you request a refund, they say that they will tack it on at the end of your treatment. I've had this happen to me about seven times in a row. This week alone I've had $100 taken out, +85 more dollars and that's with insurance and that's with meeting all of my group requirements and not having any late or missed appointment fees. It seems to not make any sense and no one has an answer when you call and ask about it. You must not have a card on file, and you must report this as fraud or they will keep doing it.
