LMCS has been a place of healing for me. Starting therapy or starting with a new therapist is often scary. Any number of questions, concerns or preconceived notions can and do arise. For some, it is extremely difficult… to talk about our thoughts and experiences. Flashbacks, guilt, and other learned “truths” about ourselves are not pleasant things to deal with. LMCS’s staff makes dealing with such unpleasantries significantly easier to process. Nobody is here to judge you. Victim blaming does not happen here. What happens here is healing. Trust is built between staff and clients. Therapist gently help build that bridge of trust and understanding. In turn, you learn the process of healing, thriving and achieving self love. Resilience becomes your superpower! Highly recommend to anyone who is serious about living the life they desire instead of the life you were told you had to love. Respectful, caring and intuitive people who want you to be mentally and emotionally stable individuals, despite past or present trauma. You need to be dedicated to the journey and the work required to make a better life possible!! Thank you to the amazing staff for believing in me when I couldn’t believe in myself. I can honestly say, I love my life!!!

Absolutely horrible experience with trying to get a medication emergency urgent problem helped through management even. I was told they lost my notes, I didn’t see the psychiatrist when I did, have nothing prescribed to… help me and I saw her weeks ago. Got told I would get a phone call today from her when she isn’t even there I get told after calling waiting for hours for a phone call. Thanks for following through with your promise on that. Very discouraging and don’t feel confident this place is going to help and isn’t very comforting at all. I just went through domestic violence abuse and very stressful things and shouldn’t have to fight for help or support I feel like and to get them to follow up and follow through with things. My anxiety and depression has gotten way worse through this experience and now I don’t know what to do at this point.

I wanted to get information about the psychologist that are at the Ardmore facility on Cricket Terrace. Forget it! The receptionist who is dressed in the Islamic/Muslim clothing was busy smoking a cigarette and talking… on her cellphone in the alley way. What a terrible message she sends about your facility. There won't be any help here.

The medication policy has changed multiple times since I’ve been a patient here and it still is not working properly. We’re supposed to call when we’re 3-5 days out from being out of our meds. Every time I’ve done this,… I get an appointment that’s well after that 3-5 day window and have to get a bridge prescription, which is stressful, because I’m almost out of my meds and I have to rely on my psych seeing an email before the week is up to get controlled substances filled. Please, if you’re making a change, stick to it. If not, do it the old way considering you already are. Unreal that a place serving the neediest members of society plays so fast and loose with their medication services. This is many Medicaid patients’ only option. This system has literally never worked since it was instituted; I always wind up needing a bridge until my appointment. Fix it for the sake of less patient people than myself with less options.

I have never ever been treated this bad at lower Merion counseling services since 2010 . They do not do their jobs, filling prescriptions or calling the patients, they pass the buck when you call and give you answering… machine .I call until I get someone who knows how to answer phones ..

Doctors that won’t refill medication, leaving you with withdrawals that they didn’t warn you about (they only want to quickly prescribe). Don’t answer the phone. All around trash.

Im not sure what kind of business you’re running but, it’s awful. I called numerous times left voicemails no return phone calls. I’ve left emails and haven’t gotten any emails back. I’m in need of two doctors and I was… disappointed by this place. I don’t reccomend this place.

Atrocious! It took weeks to finally get a call back. The Director finally called me & stated they never recieved info from the pharmacy. I had paperwork to prove otherwise. He then told me they had many changes. When… the Medical Assistant called me back AFTER the Director did & leaving several messages with the office. She told me the phone log doesn't show i called then hung up on me. As I told her I have a phone log too, it shows that I called 8 times in the last week and a half. It took weeks to get a prior authorization for meds. I had the insurance company get involved & file a grievance. This is unacceptable.

You can’t get in touch with anyone unless you’re lucky. I almost ran out of meds once, and the doc took me off meds to consolidate and now I’m experiencing a return of symptoms and I can’t get in touch. Worst place for… med management.

Whoever I spoke with on the phone today was rude and seemed very eager to hang up on me. Of course she didn’t say her name, but it’s one of the receptionists. This is far from how you properly run a mental health… facility, ESPECIALLY when you’re speaking with someone seeking help. All I wanted to know was who I should be in contact with to schedule a therapy appointment, and she gave me an attitude and hung up immediately, didn’t even give a phone number of who to contact in case I needed it.

Negligence at its worst. Good luck getting any prescriptions refilled or appointments made. On multiple occasions I have been told they would call and refill prescriptions with no luck. You’ll leave messages for nobody… to return your call. Please avoid this location.

Absolutely the worst place I have ever gotten treatment for mental health. They used to be pretty decent, but I am really starting to understand why all their good staff have left for greener pastures. The people who… work there now are borderline negligent. Avoid at all costs if you can, it's not worth your time or money, more information below: I'm writing this after the third time that one of my medications has lapsed and I've gone into withdrawal due to them not filling it. I have spent the past two weeks trying to get on the phone with ANYone in the office, but most lines just go to voice mail no one ever returns a call. I have left over 7 voicemails on different machines with no responses. The only people on staff who might seem to care are hamstrung by asinine 'procedures' that mean that even when they screw up your treatment, they are unable to fix things in an expedient manner. They seem to care far more about their paperwork than the actual treatment of patients who use their services. I also had one 'psychiatrist' there who accused me of, and shamed me constantly for, lying about thinking I had ADHD. Well, at year later and numerous neurological tests done and, oh look, I 'DO' have ADHD. Absolutely horrid woman who should never be allowed to practice again without some severe training. I normally try to write my reviews in a more objective manner, but I have never dealt with such an incompetently run organization before. And when you're in charge of people's mental health, there's no excuse for the level of negligence and laziness that is on display here. Just to let people know what kind of service to expect; despite the fact that my prescription medication was never filled last month, today I was told that because my 'treatment plan' was out of date, I couldn't talk to the prescriber. To get my 'treatment plan' updated, I have to talk to a therapist. When can I see a therapist? Well, we have to wait til next week when he gets back to even find out WHEN he's available. Why is this not just readily visible in the system? Who knows? Even when I was happy with my therapists and such (before they left for better practices), there were signs that there was a bureaucratic nightmare happening behind the scenes. Avoid this place if you have any other possible practices to go to. I would rate it 0 stars or lower if those were an option.

Ive been going here 4 years now and it was so much better 2-3 years ago now it is Understaffed and it seems like one person is doing all the work. I leave messages constantly and never get a call back... patients needs… aren't a priority it seems like.

Called twice a week for two months before I got a call back just for them to tell me they won't treat for my mental health issue. person who would answer the phone would constantly put me through to the person who was… supposed to make me an appointment only for me to always get the voicemail and never a call back. They clearly don't take mental health seriously. Stay far away

(update 2021 since covid they have a few new providers & are better about getting patients their prescriptions ) 4 star because the staff does try, they accept medicaid & the facilities look nice. -4 stars because they… can't keep staff, they can't get your prescriptions filled in an organized or timely manner, it's not easy to get care at this practice because there are a lot of steps and unnecessary gatekeepers, that make getting what you need from them tedious, complicated & a big time drain. Do you want to go to an organized practice, where your concerns are treated with respect, where they have consistent and reliable staff, a place where they make getting your mental health care easy? Then LMCS is not the practice for you. I do not recommend this place The services they provide are sub-par. In no other type of medical office would you expect to have to call back over & over, leave voicemails, talk to staff as well as walk in to the office 4-6 times and still have to wait 2-3 weeks to get a refill for your child. Even my pharmacist told me to try and find an alternative provider because they are difficult to get refills from. They do not have enough providers & they can't find/ keep consistent staff that can prescribe. Basically LMSD is ok with the fact that they do not provide quality care because their clients to a primarily medicaid/medicare client population and they not there are not a lot of options for people with that kind of insurance. They are also providing to people with mental health issues that may not have the resources to go anywhere else. Which is probably why they can't keep quality Dr.s, NP's, therapist and counselors. Basically seems like the type of place providers get experience at and then leave.

I have been going to lmcs for over 40 years. Things change fast there. Especially the psychiatrist they’re there 6 months to 2 years and that’s being kind. The psychologist r a revolving door also. I’ve had seen… approximately 6 in the last 5 years. And it’s hard if you are seeing a new therapist. It’s very hard to get it all out and then start to feel comfortable and then “bang” they move on and your stuck having to start ALL over again with a new therapist.its a problem! Because now you have to start all over and then back into the rabbit hole. Now on the MEDICATION issue. If you need the medical assistant, good luck. I have waited 5 days to get meds after I Did protocol. I’ve gone 5 days without because someone is not doing their job. This has happened more than times than I can count. Mistakes and withholding of meds should never happen. Right now I’m off the wall because I’m out of medications for 5 days and I still don’t know how much longer I have to wait til I can get them.

Big fat nope. Too many clients, seems as though the place is just over-run. The main scheduler never returns phone calls. The one psychiatrist, Dr. Reid does her visits on Skype and never seems to be listening to what… you're saying. Major disconnect. Avoid at all costs.
