McAlester VA Outpatient Clinic – Mcalester

I struggle with so much on a regular basis and Dr John Macab is a phenomenal Dr he’s very attentive and truly cares for his veterans I would also recommend the ear acupuncture treatments that are now being offered at… this clinic for PTSD and Anxiety.

Do not waste your time or mental health trying to use their mental health department. I got to my appointment an hour early yes I’m one of those veterans also I knew I had paperwork that needed to be filled out because… I WAS going to be a new patient. Mrs. K Warren walks into the reception desk area talking very rudely about how I’m an hour early and have to wait. Ok no big deal right. I’m military and used to waiting. Then she she tells the reception lady in a very rude tone to make sure I read their packet and fill out the paperwork again no big deal right. I grabbed the packet and begin reading and on the front page. It gives the definition of what a therapist is and below it it says that she’s not here to hear you vent or to fix you. No actually you are because giving me coping skills does help fix me hearing the event about past. Issues is going to help fix me.

I love the staff here. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and appreciated for your service. My husband is the veteran not me. They are very patient with me answering all my questions and finding out if… they don't know. I absolutely love the staff here!
