About Mental Health Resources Inc – Clovis (1100 West 21st Street)

Mental Health Resources Inc operates from 1100 West 21st Street in Clovis. The site sits in Curry County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Portales. New Mexico draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.

Intensive outpatient and outpatient care are delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment, telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Treatment Services at Mental Health Resources Inc

Intensive outpatient and outpatient care run to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Buprenorphine and naltrexone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers.

If i could give this place a negative star review I would a thousand times over. My child willingly went in there to seek therapy and get help, and instead of getting him an appointment, having the therapist talk to… him, and telling him this was optional if he didnt want to do he didnt have to per state law, in which my son could have been better informed on his choices, the front office worker stopped him from signing the paperwork and said oh legally you dont have to if you dont want to. What happens next, my child ends up in a psychiatric hospital due to his MAJOR DEPRESSION and not getting the services that could have potentially helped him here. The Dr is the one who should've talked to him about his options. Not the receptionist up front. Thank you MHR for the hike in my BP, the stress, the worry, the fear Ive had to endure for my child, and the loss of me not being able to sleep or work due to the crippling anxiety I had to face as a mother who couldnt get her son help. Oh and I did tell them that he is going to refuse any attempt of appointments due to this. And they wont STOP CALLING ME.

MHR is an incredible resource for mental health support and services in Eastern New Mexico. What really stands out about MHR is how dedicated and compassionate the staff is, you can tell they truly care about the people… they serve. One of the best things about MHR is their flexibility. Whether you need in-person therapy, telehealth options, or crisis intervention, they meet you where you are. They also do a lot of community outreach and education, working hard to break down the stigma around mental health. It’s clear they’re not just about providing services but about making a real difference in people’s lives.
