About Merrimack River Medical Services – Somersworth
Merrimack River Medical Services operates from 200 Route 108 in Somersworth. The site sits in Strafford County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Dover, Exeter and Raymond. New Hampshire draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.
Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment, an opioid treatment program, telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Treatment Services at Merrimack River Medical Services
Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.
Buprenorphine and methadone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers. Assessment decides the level of care, so ask what that involves and how quickly it can happen.

Merrimack River Medical Services Address, Location and Contact Information
The address is 200 Route 108, Somersworth, NH 03878, in Strafford County. The catchment reaches Dover, Exeter and Raymond. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity.
Telehealth appointments cover some contact where travel is difficult, which removes part of the journey for people further out. Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

Amazing staff very understanding and sweet. It's recommend to anyone
I've been going to many clinics lately now I've made the decision to go to this clinic due to many factors. I'm happy with this decision I've made Every one is super nice there and I'll continue to keep going until I… can get off this medication wish me luck! 💫⚔️
I have been on the clinic 2015 & it has helped me on my road to recovery. I am addicted to opiates(pills) & have not abused them since I've been on clinic, I also gave up drinking alcohol when got on clinic. The… "dosing" nurses are great nurses,. They're very friendly, care n have lots of patience to deal with addicts everyday. The receptionist(s),doctor & councilors are awesome too. I've had many councilors since been here & always been happy them. The hours are good during the week but during the wknd rhey should stay open longer(some of us come a long way & durning bad weather it hard to get there before 10am)
Everyone there has always been wonderful to my boyfriend but today the older woman with long brown hair was clearly out for blood. If only I had the chance to get her name…. not sure if she is the supervisor but if you… want to be treated as less than an animal when you walk in make sure you talk to her! She was not only utterly disrespectful to the kind blonde nurse trying to assist us, she was beyond disrespectful to my boyfriend and myself. I’ll pray for her because she surely needs it. We didn’t have any expectations walking in other than to be treated with a basic level of respect. She clearly isn’t capable of this and I don’t think this job is a good fit for her, considering the people going there already have enough stress as they work on their journey of recovery.
I see so much hate being projected on the reviews here. This place honestly saved my life, This place and people are the Reason why I am off of dope. There are a few things that could change though,One of the crappiest… Things Are, When you Finally Make it to the clinic,Sometimes on Saturday there is a Enormous line out the door all the way around the building. Other than that it's an amazing safe place. Well I forgot one thing. This is my 3rd counselor which I hope they don't keep leaving.
I have been a patient here for many years, in the last few years services has been less than adequate. Here we are in the middle of a health pandemic and I have to give a urine as part of my treatment and I am forced to… use a bathroom that has feces all over the toilet and the floor. There is a cleaning paper in there that states the last time it was clean was on the 22nd. When I bring this to the attention of the program director she informs me that that its incorrect and has been cleaned since then and the paper is only for staff.... well my question would be why hang it for patients to see if it doesn't have anything to do with the cleaning of the bathroom and instead of offering to clean the bathroom, she smiles at me and says thanks for my feedback . The program director here really need some more education to say the very least. I will continue to use the internet as a means of making the issues here public as it does no good to go to the program director here.
I know that this place has its issues but doesnt every place and or everyone in the world .i personally give this place a 5 star rating because this clinic is the only reason i am not using heroin any more and the… people and the support here is the only reason i was able to get clean and stay clean and sober and get my son back as well thank you !!
We need more in our state!
I have NEVER felt so degraded while actively in treatment to get help. Its 2019 views on addiction need to change, ecspecially in this field of work. Were just Mothers, Fathers, sisters, and brothers. SOME are even LNAs… and CRMA Were just trying to change our paths the better, trying to turn are lives positive.
Good place to help people

It saves lives.
They treat me really good. My life has become so stable and no taking chances with my life. I feel better then I did for the 5 years before joining this program:)
Keeps my life In order something every addict needs thx
