About Methodist Fremont Health – Fremont

Methodist Fremont Health operates from 450 East 23rd Street in Fremont. The site sits in Dodge County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Inglewood and Wahoo. Nebraska draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.

Hospital inpatient care is delivered here, alongside care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Key Facility Details

  • Accreditation: Not listed
  • Levels of Care: Hospital Inpatient

Treatment Services at Methodist Fremont Health

Hospital inpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers. Assessment decides the level of care, so ask what that involves and how quickly it can happen.

Methodist Fremont Health Address, Location and Contact Information

The address is 450 East 23rd Street, Fremont, NE 68025, in Dodge County. The catchment reaches Inglewood and Wahoo. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity.

Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Opening hours shift with staffing, and an evening slot one month may not exist the next. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

Standout visit to the ER on 9/11/26. I met my parents in the ER as my dad had apparently fallen from a ladder and was confused, bloodied and in pain. The DNP, Audrey, and the team of EMTs were excellent. Audrey quickly… assessed the situation, examined him and began ordering tests. She answered all our questions and put our other concerns at ease with her expertise and excellent bedside manner. The attention here was excellent. My dad had labs drawn and was down in the scanner in less the 45 min from time of arrival!! That just would not have happened in an Omaha ER! He had sutures and his broken wrist set and splinted by Audrey. The other staff were sure to gently clean up his bloodied face and arms. He was on his way home just under 4 hrs from arrival. This was an excellent turn around for his injuries. Even better, he went to his ortho visit and his wrist reduction was “done very well” and needed no further intervention. Thank you to you all!

We moved to a small town outside of fremont from Las Vegas 5 years ago.. I will say that this hospital in particular has been wonderful to myself and family. My mother was diagnosed with cancer and unfortunately have… had many vists, I have had great experiences in the ER. We also go to palliative care there and I will say it's the most amazing blessing I could ever ask for. My mom vists Jessica through palliative care and she has been absolutely amazing! She is my mom's rock through this cancer journey and I can't thank her enough for giving my mom some life back! The whole team is wonderful but I have to mention Jenna! She brings a light that I can't explain and even went above and beyond oneday to get my mom's blood when no one els could and with her gentleness stopped my mom from giving up and leaving. I know some people might feel differently.. But I have been to so many different hospitals, even in Omaha. Fremont is truly the best. They know us by name, they treat us like family. Thank you for the amazing care Fremont!, especially during this incredibly difficult time. 🙏 Forever grateful!

They are terrible on sending out info on pre testing instructions. Never received colon testing instructions and MRI. 2 separate items and the colon one we drove up there to get . They lied said they mailed… instructions. We never received. Same with MRI.

My husband was taken into emergency room with low vitals and nose bleeds. Emergency staff said he needed an ear, nose, and throat doctor but none are on staff in fremont. They said no rooms were available in omaha at… that time so they found a room at fremont. Hospitalist was asked continually for ear, nose, and throat doctor and GI doctor to check out why so blood was in his body. However they refused to transfer him and never had a specialist come to him. After a week, a new hospitality finally checked him and said he needed to go to omaha. However he still was not seen for nose bleed. He died from complications from nose bleeds.

I would drive to Omaha on my deathbed before I would go to Fremont hospital! Awful service. My friend's blood sugar has been 400- 300 for 9 days! She has a pump and they just just filled her up with Tylenol and gave her… saline for dehydration, and gave her a unit of insulin. It did NOT lower her blood sugar. I get that the hospital's not equipped for some stuff but good God can you at least help her!

As a big city person with multiple big city hospital experience I was pleased and pleasantly surprised by the care my father received on multiple occasions to the ER, ICU and his final days. The doctors were informative… and worked with my schedule for updates. The nurses and aids were So attentive. They responded so well (faster than any other hospital I've had experience with). I know some people shy away from smaller community hospitals because they think they don't have the experience and expertise as a big hospital. But I found they are more connected to their patients and have less patients to tend to, thus I felt it was a Better experience overall. The case worker and administrative staff I had contact with were also extremely helpful and easy to get in contact with. I appreciate the care my father received and the support the entire staff provided our family. Thank you to them all.

Just like any Hospital and Healthcare facility they are always working on ways to better accommodate patients and patient satisfaction. Constructive criticism is effective if you give examples and ways to better satisfy… your experience. They are unable to help or change other experiences if you dont help them understand what was done or how it can be done better by just simply commenting how bad staff is. Give facts to help them better achieve those goals to help!

The ER staff. I recently had to go to the ER at Methodist Fremont Health. I was in so much pain in my right side it was just unreal. Of course I was swearing and making all kinds of gutteral sounds. Just making a scene,… how embarassing. Anyways, I kept apologizing they said no problem they understood. Not only did they take care of me and my problem, they made me feel like I was a friend of theirs and I trust them with everything now. I was a crazed person from pain when I went in there. I walked out feeling better and confident in the knowledge of my condition. Thank you Dr Miller and the Jens, Brenda and all of you in the ER. You have no idea what you did for me, Thank you. Went in to the emergency room. Halfway treated and kicked out the door. without being given adequate time to compose myself. They didnt escort me even to the front door. Just told me I have to leave bc another person… would be needing the room. Once out the door I had to lay on a bench outside to compose myself and call for a ride. Medication not allowing me to drive myself. !!!!! How is this even possible? What's going on that im sent outside to a busy street! 23rd street being the busiest street in fremont. I was in a state of confusion and were i not tired, could I have walked into trafic in this state? Do better fremont Methodist!!!!!

I am currently staying in hospital for pretty serious case of dehydration. Everyone I have come across has been wonderful and caring and helpful. What a difference that makes when not feeling well. Fantastic nursing and… doctor staff. And this was over a holiday, too, I might add. Very much impressed and thankful.

Went in for months of nausea, headache and dizziness. Was told I hate a sinus infection and sent home on Augmentin. I now am leaking cerebral spinal fluid and need neurosurgery because they ignored the MRI that showed… Mastoiditis needing IV antibiotics. The infection caused a large effusion in my head. UNMC had to save my life. Don't ever go there unless it's something textbook.

Had a baby there recently C-section was at 12 went great very friendly and quick working for the C-section but after that our stay went downwards…… was in bed for that whole day next day got outta bed once so they can… change bedding, outta the nurses there are I had 2 maybe 3 that actually did their job!!! I ended up getting a blot probably from being in bed and not walking, no help getting up and going to bathroom other than my support partner (father/my man), baby butt was raw from them not changing her I did 97% of the diaper changes myself even tho dr told them to change her, none of the nurses bothered to offer to get me outta bed to shower even tho I had blood everywhere from laying on the bloody pad they had down that was changed maybe if lucky twice a day! Delivery rooms became full so they had to move us to a different room I ended up having to help gather and load our bags on to the cart after we got to the new room I barely seen the nurses just felt like there was a lot of extra bs going on with drs and nurses standing outside the door whispering thinking you can’t hear them talking about you!!!!!!

ER in fremont ne I am extremely grateful to the ER doctors and nurses for their outstanding care. From the moment I arrived, the entire team was efficient, professional, and compassionate, which immediately put me at… ease. They provided quick, attentive service, thoroughly explaining each step and ensuring I was comfortable throughout the process. I highly recommend their emergency department to anyone in need of prompt and caring medical attention.

Horrible experience at this hospital and cannot recommend going somewhere else enough. My wife was diagnosed with a potentially severe disease that resulted in another trip to a different ER at 4am due us following… instructions and immediately going in due to symptoms she was experiencing (let alone the mental trauma that the diagnosis caused). We were then told within less than an hour at the other ER that Fremont Health's diagnosis was incorrect. The ER asked where we went and said they were not surprised at the care we received at Fremont Health due to many complaints they've received before. She was also severely dehydrated and was not given fluids because "they forgot" after we were there 3 hours. I have tried to call multiple times and politely address the situation and have been told I received adequate care and that I'm still expected to pay. Please go elsewhere if you need care and are able.

My husband received wonderful care at Methodist Fremont Health. He had a total joint replacement. He attended an Education class Methodist Fremont offered before his surgery date. It was very informative on what to… expect. He received wonderful care by all the staff. Meals were great and at his discharge time the hospital pharmacy brought all the meds he needed to his room before we left. No running to your local pharmacy and waiting for meds. Thank you to everyone at Methodist Fremont!

Won’t allow me to go back in the surgical prep area with my service dog to see my loved one before surgery. Don’t have your loved ones brought to Methodist if you expect them to follow federal law.
