Metro Treatment of Florida LP – Hollywood Address, Location and Contact Information

The site is at 1101 South 21st Avenue in Hollywood, Florida, 33020. Hollywood sits in Broward County. The site also serves the surrounding area, and anyone traveling in should confirm the route before setting out. How someone gets there matters more than it sounds: travel is one of the commonest reasons a course of treatment stops partway.

It is worth calling first to confirm access, parking and the shape of a first visit. If getting there is hard, ask about a remote first appointment. Where no one answers, leaving a message and calling again later usually works better than giving up.

Your the best!!

This place has really helped me! My counselor Tasheena Salmon has truly made a powerful impact on my journey. From day one, she created a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment where I felt comfortable being… honest and open. She genuinely cares and goes above and beyond to help me grow helped me stay accountable, build healthier habits, and take my sobriety seriously. Her guidance, patience, and encouragement have been making a huge difference in my life. Because of her ive learned healthier ways to cope, take accountability, and stay committed to my sobriety. I’m really grateful for everything from the progress I’ve made with their support. Anyone who gets to work with her is truly lucky. This place is really awesome! I do also want to add all the staff here is super friendly and soo nice!! From the nurses to the staff! Everyone makes u feel so at home here and it means alot

I was transferring from place in Delaware and was stressed out about doing the transfer for work for 4 to 5 months. Tasheena Salmon was so friendly and knowledgeable and put me at ease in the first couple of minutes!… Her professionalism really showed! Wish more who work in this field would have the attitude and awesome way she communicated with me because it goes along way!! The whole staff after her were just as good as well!! They were able to keep me at my same take homes on my 1st day!!

6 Years ago, I was told the worst news someone can hear. I had Stage 3 kidney cancer. I had to go into emergency surgery. 10 doctors, a joint surgery between Jackson and UM, 8 hours later I was cancer free but now the… year and a half recovery and the pain that came with it. My doctor told me when I was in the recovery room. You will have to get help to get off the pain medications, she said you will get addicted with how long I was going to have to be on them. I didn't think anything more of it at the time. I told myself I never done drugs of any kind, hell, I don't even drink. I'll be fine. I'm no junky. 6 years later I was a junky. I was somehow now on fentanyl one of the most dangerous drugs. I ruined my mom's credit I killed my million dollar a year business. I was begging for help but did not know where to turn. I was scared I was about to die. I did not want to feel the withdraws no more. Someone gave me this clinics number. I was out of pills and going into withdraws and I called them for help. They took me in the same morning. As I walked up, I was scared, I had never been through something like this. Once the first staff member greeted me with that warm smile, I felt a little at ease. My intake counselor was Tasheena she made me feel so much better. I'm a 6-foot 260-pound man and I cried like a baby. She didn't judge me. She made me feel that everything was going to be alright. She rushed me through and made sure I got a doctor interview right away so that I could get my medication and would not be in pain anymore. The support that this place gives is so important to the road to recovery, After Tasheena was done she sent me to get checked up and go through all the questions from the head nurse Giddy. I was nervus about what she was going to find or ask. Giddy was super nice and she made me crack a smile. Till this day I enjoy seeing her each morning. Everyone was just so nice and welcoming, it was like they were welcoming you to their family. I was assigned Lady as my counselor. I can't truly say enough about Lady. She knows what she is doing. From our one on ones, to the group counseling she is just so nice. She always checks on me, I just feel so accomplished every time she tells me congrats on another clean month. I don't want to miss anyone, when I mean all the staff I do mean that. Thanks to this clinic, I have now reopened my business, and I am doing great. I have paid back all the people I owed. I have a smile on my face every day that I wake up. I feel like I can take on the world again, just this time I have a team of angles walking with me, Thanks New Seasons Broward, you gave me my life back.

Edit + update) it's now almost 4 years later & I've been off everything (including methadone) for over 3.5 years. Unfortunately I had no option but to withdraw from 240mgs of methadone (rapid metabolizer) cold turkey.… I'd been on it for almost 5 years, and it took me nearly a full year to feel "normal" again. I moved to Texas and the only clinic option was over 1.5 hours away and it wasn't possible with only one vehicle and my husband needing to go to work. It was absolutely the worst detox I have ever gone through (I suffered through sleep deprived psychosis & I couldn't tell you the day of the week for 2 months). I will say that MAT helped me get to where I am now; however & with complete honesty, I can see that it stunted me mentally, emotionally, and physically overall. It's difficult to be both grateful and bothered. I can see in hindsight that it was ultimately about the bottom dollar and not about what was in the best interest of the addict. The current set up is designed to hook the addict for life on something that gives an illusion of true sobriety. I gained an obscene amount of weight and struggled with daily apathy. I was numb after years of taking it & methadone did eventually become "liquid handcuffs." I'm glad that the Texas MAT program only lasts 3-9 months & not years. I wasn't anywhere as clean as I believed I was at the time, but it was better than using and abusing everything on the streets. If I had to do it all over again, I'm not sure if I would. Methadone still came first in my life and I wasn't able to cognitively process the changes I needed to make while taking it. It can be a stepping stone to recovery, but I've learned over the years I just wasn't completely ready to change what I needed too. Once I was fully detoxed I got my HS diploma & I'm 8 weeks from an associates degree. School just wasn't possible on MAT. I'm grateful, but torn when it comes to recommending MAT overall. you're ready to stop wasting your life and remember what it feels like to be productive and stop searching for drugs to get a fix every single hour of the day. Getting dope was a full time, part time, overtime, holiday job for me where I never got paid and didn't have a life. Methadone maintenance may be for you if you're like me. ( subutex or suboxone is an option too) This place saved my life 2 years ago. I have not abused any narcotic since the day I walked in. They help you get comfortable/stable on methadone to where your not having any withdrawal symptoms and the mental obsessing is gone w/ a Doctor and then eventually when you're ready to get off but only when you're ready and you want to they'll reduce your dose. They have a new director Candace that is easy to communicate with that addresses any concerns you have & I believe she's been in the field for years. The counselors truly make a difference in my life. Robert was my counselor for a year when I first began and Ms Toni now for 10 months. I was a chronic relapser for 15 years this place has truly saved and changed my life. I let all the negative rumors keep me away from methadone because I had multiple occasions with one, two, and even 4 years cleans within the 100 percent abstinence based recovery program of NA and I felt like going to "a clinic" was still using. Everybody is different I still love NA but if you've been trying for half your life to change your life for the better give this a chance! Their sister/satellite Clinic in Lehigh was there for me for 9 months with a counselor named Amanda when I had moved and she was also a great. You hear bad things and reviews but that's often from those still using and abusing. If you're ready to try to live again, you have nothing to lose. + They are doubling the size of the place w/the construction next door to help accommodate every one there. Definitely recommend for the addict that Just doesn't know what's what anymore. Give yourself a chance.

Worse treatment program in the state of Florida. The counselors do not reach out for anything except if a treatment plan is needed to get signed or if toxicology is needed. The treatment plan doesn’t even get reviewed… when it’s supposed to be client centered. All they care is about making money. The client is not there priority. I had to basically stop going because I could not afford to pay for my medication and detoxed on my own. Not once did my counselor reach out.

Every place has its stars and duds, this place isn't perfect but for what it is and what it's worth most of the staff seem dedicated to giving the clients what they need and are knowledgeable on how to talk to and treat… a variety of characters individually. Recovery is not a 'one size fits all' suit and from what I experienced, everyone here tailors the experience to the individual. Not many programs can hold that reputation. Today was my first step onto a long road of recovery, but they made it easy to want to take on the challenge and made me feel that I would not be doing it alone. Manuela was even kind enough to help me find a facility closer to my home because I live almost two hours away from the facility, and they're not even affiliated with the clinic they found for me. They just wanted to help me get back on track and for the first time in a while I have hope in my future. Everyone at intake, the nurse and doctor included were all very friendly and welcoming.
