These negative reviews are straight bullshit. I agree 💯 with Ryan's comments. I was one of the first when this clinic reopened. It's been 3 years. By far best staff, nurses, atmosphere you could ask for at a clinic. Go… out of their way for you, as long as you aren't stomping your feet like 2 year old when you don't get what you want. They've helped me out in Vegas when my flight was cancelled. They called the nurse at 2am I was in er dosed and out in 46 min because the head nurse on call is awesome! Carlos by far best counselor I've ever had. Not every one stops using drugs immediately when they get on methadone. You gotta fix the problems that are causing you to use in the first place and that takes time and hard work.

My question is why this faculty continues to dispense the methdone to clients I who are still using illegal drugs ? Who is liable when the family overdoses becasue of this problem ? Please ! Get on board on helping… clients not enabling them .

I was hoping to reply to two of the one Star reviews because they don't deserve that and now I'm even mad at myself because the only thing my 5 star review could possibly do is bring in new clients and that just could… make the line longer and I enjoy spending on the rare occasions at most 15 minutes. Unless a patient is having a situation and they personally need a longer session. To the reviewer claiming they make it difficult to get off it. Your comment was a year ago and I'm just curious where you're at with your recovery today? If you're back out there then your counselor recognized you aren't ready I was trying to help you. And the reviewer about a bottle check and the house fire. Dude I don't even think they have been open for 5 years yet and if they have it's just passed 5 years, So I'm already skeptical of your claim. Now I've been on methadone for dam near 20 years I've been to almost every clinic at one point in Monmouth and Ocean County, So I unfortunately consider myself an expert on the matter and a few things strike me as odd other than you're "5 years clean drug tests", about to serve up some swiss cheese to your claim. Mainly even if you manage to steadily acquire 2 negative samples a month positive for only methadone for a 5 years consistently that I highly doubt but I know if some how you did than you were dumping because anyone even if they're not sober when they were writing the comment that you wrote they would have referenced it as 5 years clean time because that is not an easy thing to do and only someone who is either totally lying or cheating the drug test would refer it to as 5 years of clean drug screens. So if I can figure that out from your five sentence comment I'm positive your counselor knew and used your tragic event of a house fire against you so she could finally break up your 5-year study plug of gallons of clean urine. And then from forced rehab after rehab after rehab with endless meetings your story is on the level of the dog ate my homework. Anyone who has even slightly struggled with addiction can see that. Lastly from step work and being around people who have actually put together sometime the most common traits that they need to adapt is humility and the ability to not let something like that bother them especially to the point that they have on Google reviews and make false allegations. On the very slight chance that I'm wrong I apologize to you please forgive me but I don't think I needed to. If you want you can pick the mic back up. Boom 🤯🤯. Harbor Mat has provided me with some of the most calm and helpful care in an environment that tends to not be in so many other places. I am so thankful for them and I shouldn't have to point out my extremely long career as a patient so it's not hard to figure why I'm still on it and it's well known to them my extensive history and I wonder would any other clinic continue my treatment after almost 20yrs, I can't guarantee someone won't have a bad experience or that there isn't some counselors I think that aren't the greatest but most of them are there and they understand the patient on a personal level and the most effective treatment for that patient to keep them alive somewhat stable or completely stable and alive. And I would have been dead 20 times over if it wasn't for methadone,

I love love it here . Every single one of the staff are friendly and if they can help they will go above and beyond. Went to JSAS , they’re -0. Harbor Mat they’re 20 , OFF THE SCALE. Well manner and treat everyone like… they are so somebody. They need a raise if you ask me. They do everything by the book and that is nothing wrong about that , after all we all are here for that structure that we all are missing in our lives. The best Suboxone clinic I’ve ever been to! They are so respectful. They treat every single patient like a human, which I don’t even think they understand how much an addict appreciates that. Eileen, Chris, the other… woman to the left of the front desk & Dr G are absolutely amazing. I am moving and I know it is unlikely that I will ever find another clinic that treated me the way this clinic treated me. Thank you all so much.

Harbor MAT is a great methadone clini. Helpful, friendly, and they actually care about your well being. I’ve been going here for two years. I transferred from the south. And I must say. The clinic is cleaner. The clinic… cares more about it Client. And that Clinic is saving lives. Thank you.

I’ve been going here for almost 2-2 1/2 months now and they are awesome here. Yesterday I went in and my counselor chris wasn’t there. So Kim came out and she isn’t even my counselor and helped me like she was my… counselor. I appreciate everything this place has done for me. From the girls at the front desk, to the nurses, and then the counselors.

They are great at getting you on to methadone. But as soon as you want to get off of the opiates they are condescending and not very helpful

Never has a place treated me with such respect. And actually cared about my well-being and my mental health. They dosed me immediately when I was in full withdrawal and they treat my friends and family that come along… with me sometimes for support with the upmost respect .these people aren’t human there more like angels. ❤️ I drive from Bergen County to see them three times a week just because I refuse to be treated like an animal at every other place I’ve been. Also it’s clean and in a great neighborhood.

Amazing staff! Executive Director and Clinical/Nursing management staff are experienced, educated and trained to help serve the community. Frequently they appear in the community for advocacy and educational events.… Approachable and caring staff.

I spent 2 years at OMC and got no where. Here at Harbor MAT I've spent 6 months in their program and have raised thru the ranks. I only go every two weeks now, but eventually that will change as long as I keep on the… path to recovery. I can't thank my counselor enough for just being there, supporting me, believing me when I told them I felt like I was slippin back into old habits. Harbor MAT has done wonders for my recovery process. If I weren't going to this facility I wouldn't be as high phased as I am. Thank you, guys, you've helped me more than you know.

They believe that there is life to live for their clients. Very respectable, clean premises, fair minded staff, help any time its needed, and they care for their clients. Overall I am extremely happy at this program.

Dawn was great! I did a guest dose at this location and she literally was on 2 different phones at once getting my paperwork right. Way better than the clinic I go to currently at home

I transferred from Ocean Monmouth because I was tired of not getting real help and counseling. OM treated me like just another money maker for them. At Harbor MAT not only has Dawn been amazing at helping me with my… insurance and general information but Maureen has been a great counselor. Everyone there goes above and beyond. The nurses and doctors are also insanely attentive and it just feels like a family, that the people who work there are behind you 100%.

Harbor saved my life. Dawn is great, and Celeste is the best counselor I've ever had. If you need help and know you do, you'll be mad you didn't start MMT earlier. give them a call or just show up early and they will… help you. Methadone will change your life and Harbor will treat you like a real person with nothing but respect and not just a number. so treat them with the same respect, they all more than deserve it. I cant recommend this place enough great clinic all around: very clean, great nurses, great counselors and doctors. Celeste is an angel and without this place who nows where id be or if i would even be alive right now. *they accept obamacare (HBCBS NJ familycare) and if you dont have insurance theyll work with you. *they use the pink liquid methadone for anyone wondering. *you will get dosed your first day as long as you're accepted into the program. - Andrew
