About Nebraska Mental Health Centers – Lincoln
Nebraska Mental Health Centers operates from 4545 South 86th Street in Lincoln. The site sits in Lancaster County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Cheney, Crete and Walton. Nebraska draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.
Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside telehealth appointments. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves. Care offered spans more than one level, which means someone can move between them without changing provider.

Treatment Services at Nebraska Mental Health Centers
Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.
Ask what happens at the end of the program as well as the beginning, since that is where plans usually thin out. Assessment decides the level of care, so ask what that involves and how quickly it can happen. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Nebraska Mental Health Centers Address, Location and Contact Information

Telehealth appointments cover some contact where travel is difficult, which removes part of the journey for people further out. Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

A licensing record says what Nebraska Mental Health Centers is permitted to do. Reviews from patients and their families say what treatment in Lincoln was like, and those accounts are collected in this section.
NMHC is an absolutely great establishment I've been with them for 2 years not only are their therapist amazing at what they do but their scheduling team is amazing at working with you, your schedule. Josh Mcgold is… highly recommended and if I could give him a higher rating I would! Thank you NMHC!
Amazing therapy love Ronda and Stacy amazing front desk lady’s
I would not recommend this place to anyone. They totally lied on the evaluation. We have seen six different intern therapists because they keep rotating in an hour. In my opinion, this place is disgusting.
Bad experience
I absolutely love nebraska mental health centers in lincoln. my therapist is amazing, as well is my med provider and the rest of the staff. they give me reminder calls, are always friendly, and provide quick responses… and solutions. if I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. never felt like my mental health was in better hands than with NMHC. thank you all for all that you do!!!!!!
Absolutely horrible . The therapist are horrible , untrained , and very unprofessional. I will never in my life return here . They also took months to complete a simple report

The Therapists are very professional and the Medical front desk person too.!
I am very pleased with the services I received here. All the staff were helpful and the testing that my child was referred for was done and reported in a timely manner.
Very rude and unprofessional. Will not recommend
I was not very pleased with the services i received here, first when i called to see if they had received the authorization needed for testing after 5 weeks i was told no, i called the insurance company and they had… authorized it 4 days after it was submitted, the receptionist was very rude when i called back and told her this, then they billed the insurance company for 6 hours and they only did 1.5 of testing, the results were to be in 3 weeks later, after 4 weeks i called and finally got an appointment to go over them with someone that didnt do the testing, she had no answers, i was told he has a learning disability and needed spec ed classes and an IEP, when i told this to his teacher he was shocked because my son is doing great in school. I will not recommend that place to anyone.
So I am sad to say that NMHC have failed big time from my perspective! My doctor recommended me to see them for an evaluation for ADHD and some testing. I went did all the testing etc. Then they start setting me up for… couch sessions. After about the 3rd or 4th session, it had been a couple months at this point and I am paying a copay for each session. Still I had not had my results given to me. Called me doctor office and they had not received the results as well. So I cancelled all my future appointments and asked for my results, to no avail. I have since moved on which it has been 3-4 years now and they keep sending me bills for a copay I supposedly didn't pay. I asked speak to the manager and she never called me back. I asked for my results to be sent, still haven't received. But I still get bills. The amount is not the problem, it is just the feeling of being ripped off as I was sent for testing and results. Then my doctor would make a recommendation. Well that is still yet to happen but they tried to keep me coming back so I could keep paying for sessions that were not prescribed to me by my doctor. Please use better caution then I did and get copies of EVERYTHING!! Sad how this "mental health" center would play such head games and all I wanted was the results, which I STILL DONT HAVE!!
