If I had to describe new day recovery center, The best way I could is by calling it a second chance. A second chance to readjust and reset mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. New day Recovery is not… something for weak minded people. The employees there Are the most genuine and raw People I’ve ever met. Instead of a crazy amount of sympathy or letting me tell a sob story over and over, they reminded me of how strong I am in my capabilities of overcoming my addiction. I was Given very unique tactics to help me, maintain my sobriety after My Time was up there. There were guest speakers that used to be addicts that came and spoke very powerfully as well as pastors and people who are very well connected with God. All in all, it was a very great experience as well as a learning experience being there at 23 years old. Today I’m 136 days sober And I thank God for walking with me and talking with me every day through my recovery. I also want to think the amazing staff For all the deep conversations we had and for helping me come back to reality!! All the new recovery may Have a few flaws here and there But I guarantee you, you will never meet anyone more real than them. Instead of just going to school for it, most of the staff have actually been through addiction, so it was never like we were talking to a formal graduate. I always felt like I was talking to somebody who was trying to give me a cheat code to recovery. I am forever grateful for those people and that treatment center and would recommend it to anyone!!!
Amazing. Pointed me in another direction and got me where I needed to be🫰
My sister is in your rehab struggling with opioid addiction and one of you're staff members named Abraham as been treating your patients like inmates he even talked to me like I was an inmate when I went to visit her… ,he talked to me like I was a child . Not 🚫 professional at all. One lady wanted to leave because of him so he opens up the door and tells her to go and turns around and tells the other clients that are there if they want to leave here's you're ticket out of here . We are supposed to inspire people not criticize them and lift them up and show love like God intended us to do. If I would have known how this place was I would have never put her there. So I hear that there is a new CEO ,sir please do something about Abraham and do something about your clients needs ,y'all get payed big money for your clients not to have what they need like detergent, toothpaste, hydrogen plus there hardly eating in there I had to bring my sister some food because she was starving. Come on let's get real those clients are God's people too . May the good Lord have mercy on this place,God bless y'all and have a very blessed day.
I typically wouldn’t give a review just because that’s not who I am. I don’t like to do reviews, but I’m gonna make an exception this time. The fact of the matter is is my girlfriend that is staying there, is on blood… pressure medication and it’s very important that she has that blood pressure medication and she did not receive her blood pressure medication, for three days! And not just that they treat their patients like inmates. I don’t know if it’s an authority complex or just an ego but they practically have to fight to make a phone call not literally but still I mean you can’t sit there and get on the phone without having 20 other people you know looking down as you trying to also get on the phone which I mean I’m sure you know the respectful of one another while they’re in there but here’s the thing is why can’t you have more than one phone? Why are these people limited to being able to make a phone call? I don’t understand that you are not their God. Then you have to trade cigarettes for socks or whatever else they need like it’s jail. She volunteered to go there she wasn’t court ordered to go there so I don’t understand that. . I’ve spoken to her once since she’s been there, she’s been there for Six days going on seven and if I would’ve known that, she needed socks or other things I would’ve brought them, but the lack of communication is ridiculous. They’re only allowed to have visitation on the weekend. I don’t expect things to be great. But I would expect For there to be a little bit of more humanity rather than treating, you know these people like animals. How do you expect recovery if you’re treating them this way? They’re not gonna want to recover they’re gonna wanna leave and you know most of them can’t because they have circumstances that they’re trying to take care of so you take full advantage of that. Anyway, hope you guys enjoyed your review. Have a lovely day.
I understand patient privacy and HIPPA policies. But, I find it disappointing when you cannot leave your number with staff and IF your brother is there, give him the NEW cellphone number so he can at least call and give… me a code or whatever to reach him. Staff refuses to take down my new cell phone number. Unacceptable. DO BETTER.
Dr.Hanser is the absolute best!
Very good experience, I would recommend this place to everyone needing help. Great staff.
Very great place to go in here numerous times. Always very courteous and stay on top of you to get your life right and do the right thing
If I could give 0 stars I would. I trusted these people to go through my alcohol withdrawals safely. Instead they refused to give me medication the first night I checked in. This caused me to have an absence seizure,… and constant myclonic seizures. I told them at 8pm I wasn’t doing so well, denied meds. I told them at 10 pm it was worse.. no meds. From 10 - 2am I had constant myoclonic seizures and one absence seizure where I lost consciousness. They weren’t patrolling the halls and never checked in on me even after telling them that. Finally at 2 am I got control enough to walk back to find someone. They called an ambulance finally got some Ativan to ease the seizing. The to the ER and get an IV. Pumped full of fluids, more Ativan and idk more stuff. The Dr. was furious. I get back to New Day. We’re supposed to have a key to our lockers. I had to give it up when I went to the ER. I asked for it back and they had lost it. Never got it back and I was there 3 days. I needed a liquid diet because of acute pancreatitis that the ER Dr diagnosed me with. Lack of communication made it so I couldn’t get the Ensure drink that I needed. I complained and eventually they figured it out. It was an absolutely horrible experience. Some of the staff were very nice. And some of them were just horrible. People that should not be working in a facility like that.
Absolutely the most god awful rehabilitation facility I have ever been to. Techs there were very rude to the clients, there was flies all over the dining area when trying to eat, and the counseling and groups were sub… par at best. 0/10 would not recommend.
Staff not helpful or compassionate. Takes too long to even see a nurse practitioner, yeah, no actual doctors. This place is great for people who are being court ordered or planning to go to a halfway house after but if… you're admitting yourself it's just frustration and bible thumping. No real therapy. If the addiction is very strong, sure, try this place. I'm sober and staying this way so there's nothing for me here. If you really need any mental help and antidepressants, get a real therapist from one of the many other local nearby mental health institutes.
My 27 year old son just went there today. I am praying they can help us. We have been dealing with this since he was 13 and nothing nor no one has been able 2 help him break his addiction.
I went into new day knowing I had a problem but not knowing what I would get out of it. I’ve been an addict for a long time and the past 2 years I’ve been using heroin. I knew that if I didn’t get help i would end up… another opioid death statistic! The employees of new day from the techs, to the in patient counseling staff to the iop counselors are all amazing people who genuinely care about your recovery. The living arrangements are amazing, the atmosphere is amazing as well as the small groups. If you are batting addiction don’t give up, don’t be afraid to ask for help! It gets better believe me! I would have never believe I’d be where I’m at today..I never imagined me being able to enjoy life sober, not having to be high or drunk to enjoy my self. I figured I’d die a junkie and I was okay with that! New day opened my eyes to what possibilities and opportunities are really out there if you just allow your self to surrender to your addiction and put forth an effort to do better! All you can do is take it one day at a time and if today your sober that’s all that matters. I’d recommend this place to anyone who needs help, because believe me being sober and genuinely happy beats any feeling that drugs ever gave me! Thank you new day and everyone that helped me in my recovery!,
