About NM Department of Health – Roswell

NM Department of Health operates from 72 Gail Harris in Roswell. The site sits in Chaves County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. The practical catchment runs wider than the city limits, taking in people who travel in rather than finding care on their doorstep.

Hospital inpatient care, detox, residential treatment, intensive outpatient and outpatient care are delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Detox and Rehab Services at NM Department of Health

Withdrawal management covers alcohol, benzodiazepine, cocaine, methamphetamine and opioid dependence and is handled on site rather than referred elsewhere. Someone starting in detox can move into residential care without changing provider or repeating an intake. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Residential here is short-term, which makes what follows discharge the more important question. Buprenorphine and naltrexone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers.

NM Department of Health Address, Location and Contact Information

The address is 72 Gail Harris, Roswell, NM 88203, in Chaves County. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity. It is worth checking which entrance to use and where parking sits before a first appointment.

How Much Does Treatment at NM Department of Health Cost?

Private-pay rehab in New Mexico typically costs $1,540 to $4,900 for a week of medical detox, $6,000 to $25,000 a month for residential treatment, $2,500 to $9,000 a month for an intensive outpatient program and $1,200 to $5,000 a month for standard outpatient care. Those are state-level figures, because RehabSeekers did not find published prices for NM Department of Health – Roswell at the time of writing.

Most programs build accommodation, meals, medical monitoring, the intake assessment, group therapy and individual counseling into the price, and NM Department of Health probably does the same. Medication, lab tests and psychiatric appointments are often billed separately. Ask NM Department of Health for a figure based on your needs and what it includes.

I went there for help and was turned away from the facility by Dr Black the coward wouldn't even speak to me and turned me away this facility doesn't care about people at all. I had hope when I first got there and in… one instance it was all shattered because the doctor wouldn't talk to me. Don't go there they won't help you. I would leave no stars if I could

I was there for two weeks and they treated me very well. To be honest, I wasn't aware of what I was doing when I left and now I regret it, but from what I remember, I received very, very good treatment.

A very caring facility. The doctor, nurses, therapists are very caring and professional. I saw incredible improvements in all of the patients there irregardless of what each individual health needs were. It is a top… notch facility and kept very clean as well. The social worker is very knowledgeable about things and is very helpful about making arrangements for appointments and anything else that's needed. The open door policy is very good with everyone there. I highly recommend this facility for whatever rehabilitation needed. Definitely a Five Star facility.

I will refer to this place as a car salesman, they put policy and procedures in black and white on their webpage but then once they get a patient , they do not honor their own policies.
