About North Country Recovery Center – Littleton

North Country Recovery Center operates from 536 Cottage Street in Littleton. The site sits in Grafton County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Berlin, Bethlehem and Lancaster. New Hampshire draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.

Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment, telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Treatment Services at North Country Recovery Center

Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Buprenorphine and naltrexone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers.

Tried to kindly ask questions about educating myself for the needs of my family, and Jaclyn was Extremely RUDE!!! Hope she doesn't treat all her patients like that, I will probably take my family needs elsewhere.

I absolutely do not like to give bad reviews but my family and I decided our story needed to be shared. My grandmother was set up with this program to help her be able to be home and comfortable during her final days (… or so we were told) the initial set up was wonderful. We felt supported and more at ease with the process, as this was such a difficult time for our family as we were coming to terms with losing and having to say goodbye to the most important person in our family, our matriarch. I got to my grams early the next morning and noticed that over night she had quite the significant decline. I made mention of my observations as the person there that day was different than the one the previous day. She agreed with my observations and suggestions and got us set up with what was suggested and needed. Again, this was wonderful as we got what we needed quickly and again felt supported and at ease with what was happening. As the day went on my gram was declining and we were unable to keep her comfortable we called the number given to us for “support “ and expressed our observations and concerns as now she was beginning to suffer. We followed through with advice given for comfort but again finding our selves calling for support. We then again follow through with advice given. By this time we were exhausted and suffering ourselves. We called and expressed how we needed someone to come as we have been left to handle things beyond our ability when we should be grieving . The nurse that took the call was very very unprofessional…. Someone did eventually come. The experience was traumatizing. I feel that we nor did my gram the support that was needed when we needed it most. I pray no others have to experience this. Please do better!! She did not deserve that as she spent her whole life caring for others and she should have left this world given the same 💔

My boyfriend has Stage 4 Terminal Lung Cancer. He was diagnosed in 2023, they gave him 2-4 months to live. He has been doing all the treatments offered to him and putting up a heck of a fight to stay alive. The… treatments had come to an end and his doctors told him his best choice would be to go on Hospice. There have been a few nice nurses, one not so nice who has no business being in palliative care. Very business like with no compassion. She doesn't order meds like she sits in front of you and says she did, she is always late for appointments that she calls the day of to make. It just seems like a very unorganized organization, which is not what any deserves to deal with on their last bit of time they have. He messaged the office this morning and asked them to get back to him. It is Friday, no one got back to him. He is going to be lucky if he makes it until Monday. I just feel that this organization needs to do better. I would never suggest anyone go on Hospice in this area. It breaks my heart to think people can treat others in this manner when they just need someone who cares

Horrible organization with incompetent people… They are more like home visitors they have no medical experience whatsoever. They do not want to make appointments. They want to call you every morning and let you know… when they will arrive… I would 100% not recommend them unless you want people constantly you in your house helping your injured loved ones when really they have no clue what they are doing

My husband is currently receiving nursing, OT and PT. The women who've been taking care of him are awesome. While they are very professional, we also consider them friends. If they feel something is quite right with my… husband, they have no problem getting in touch with the doctors and, following up with both them and us. All of these women are part of the traveling Healthcare and we're going to miss them once my husband is better. Our only hope is that we keep all of them until he's well.
