The Northern AZ Healthcare Hospital in Prescott is top notch of any VA in the Country, and I’ve been to many as a Vietnam Vet. Every employee, nurse, or physician here have my utmost trust and respect. The care I have… received here over many years has been no less than outstanding. Dr Singer my primary care physician is really competent and professional, prompts addressing my issues. Thank you Dr. Singer! Dr. Momjian my Foot and Ankle physician has provided me with exceptional outstanding care. I was very sad to hear he had transferred to a VA in Florida recently. Dr. Garrison my dentist there is the very best dentist I have gone to. He is super competent, very knowledgeable, and always puts his patient’s needs first. All of the staff including Sarah the hygienist are very helpful, knowledgeable, and caring. Nicki, in the lab, and as a dental assistant for Dr. Garrison, is very helpful, and a valuable asset to the Dental Clinic as well. Front receptionists (Malinda) and the other girl are always extremely helpful as well!! I hope I have not forgotten anyone, as everyone there have been very helpful, and considerate to me. I also thank Dr. Belski for her support and friendly competent care. Thank you Prescott VA and Director.. Michael Larsen Vietnam Navy Veteran
Its always your fault is their motto. ER is the worst I have ever seen. From head strong physicians to staff there for a paycheck. The worst I ever been treated! Really the VA NEEDS to clean house and start over. CHANGE… THE LEADERSHIP OR OUT SOURCE THE WHOLE DEPARTMENT!
I just got here ... i like it
Northern AZ VA System is one of the best in the country.
That Rehab saved my life. I'm a Vietnam Veteran with P.T.S.D. Their programs offered to Veterans helped me with my issues and all my Medical issues... all!!!. Medical, Dental, Optical, and a nice Walker.
Very good experience
The one-star review I left is for the emergency room at this VA facility. I came in with heart problems and was shown the door by an incompetent ER doctor. When I had to come back a second time, I got the same doctor.… Once my care was handed over to a competent doctor, I did receive excellent care.
How they care it should be veterans choice not forced by VA subcontractors with inferior products
Sister is currently in va clinic for an ongoing pain from an injury sustained in AD. doctors keep telling her abdominal and back pain are UTI or period related. Didn’t give a nurse call line and resorted to tossing a… urinary cup on the floor to get their attention because she can’t talk from the pain. she called me crying in so much pain because of her injury and frustration with male nurses and doctors there. Gave her nothing but ibuprofen and told her she’s a health 25 year old and that she shouldn’t be in this much pain. If she’s so health why has she been in pain for THREE DAYS. Called out of work called out of school because she can barely walk. No bedside manner. No care for womens pain. Mind you she drove almost two hours just to be seen there. RIDICULOUS.
Decent place to get rehab. Most of the staff is super nice and friendly. The rest seemed pretty cool. This was the second time in the VA that I encountered the 7 step trained narcissist like I encountered at the Las… Vegas DAV. She was nice and she smiled alot. She tried to argue with my psychiatrist through me like a single parent arguing vicariously with their ex through the kid. That one was actually super cute and there is no pattern recognition there. Vegas DAV quoted her to me from paperwork. A couple of the case workers will argue with you about the definition of 'opinion,' but they're not that bad either. More of a cute personality quirk for the facility. Great food!
Exceptional regional VA hospital with an Emergency Department. Well organized with top notch, knowledgeable, welcoming staff. Very responsive. Beautiful, historic campus. Well maintained and with newly added technology,… new (2024) CT machine for veterans needing better imaging since the passing of the PACT ACT. Outpatient services for veterans, specialists, laboratory, pharmacy, physical therapy, mental health services and much, much more.
Awesome, is the one word that describes our visit. With no holds bar the nurses and doctors here are the true definition of the Hippocratic Oath, and then some. When you willingly put the physical health of a loved one… in the hands of someone that you've just met, trusting in them to do what you cant, it's probably the hardest thing in life. Here at the Prescott VA I've never felt so at ease, as they treat you as well as your veteran loved one like family. Sincerely Tisha & TJ
The VA itself is great. The VA police on the other hand not so great. There needs to be a handicap sign in order for it to be enforced. The law was changed many years ago and for good reason. If it's just painted, it… could be covered by snow, it could have fresh sealer, there are many ways it could be covered. Well I got a ticket for parking in the one spot that doesn't have a sign. It's no longer a handicap spot as they updated the parking lot and added a bunch new handicap spots, with signs of course. I even told the cop what the law is and why and she said "oh you're going to argue it over a technicality?" Like really? Just ignorant and totally uncalled for. Her life must suck so bad, she has to ruin other people's. Shame on her.
Ah NAVAHCS....I've rated as the best in the past, but now!? I just question why it would take 4 months to get an appt with mental health. That's about 640 hours from August when I asked for an appt. I realized after… ruminating about this for a month....if I said I was going to stick a gun in my mouth, they would be right on it. The overriding problem is too many uncaring civilians at the VA
I am not a Veteran, but my boyfriend is. I have a question that I'd like answered. Why during Trumps administration and during Covid were there guards at the gate keeping those who would do harm out and now the gates… are wide open? Anyone can go through and do damage to our Veterans and those working there. Why are we not protecting our own and yet pay millions of dollars to outside countries to protect them??????
The emergency room is absolutely fabulous! Courteous and attentive. The best VA I've ever been to. My current doctor has saved my life.
Best VA hospital I've ever been to, hands down.
