About Northpoint Recovery – Omaha (7215 Ontario Street)

Northpoint Recovery operates from 7215 Ontario Street in Omaha. The site sits in Douglas County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Chalco, La Vista and Ralston. Nebraska draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.

Detox and residential treatment are delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment, telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Detox and Rehab Services at Northpoint Recovery

Withdrawal management covers alcohol, benzodiazepine, cocaine, methamphetamine and opioid dependence and is handled on site rather than referred elsewhere. Someone starting in detox can move into residential care without changing provider or repeating an intake. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Residential runs both short and long term, so the question at intake is which length the assessment points toward. Buprenorphine and naltrexone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together.

My stay at North Point was a great experience that I’d recommend to anyone struggling with substance use an addiction. The Staff, Techs, and Nurses truly care about each client and will go out of their way to make you… as comfortable as possible. If you are ready, North Point is the best place in Omaha to learn the skills needed to fight addiction.

Very individualized and detailed treatment nice small groups to learn how to lean on someone else everyone listens and not just hear you including ms.rachel and grant everyone there is very helpful all the way down to… ms.jackie they give you breaks to process and decompress and lunch is pretty good also. I would definitely refer someone here!

I was able to take a loved one to this facility. They have great staff and they really helped with their recovery. Life can be hard, but with facilities like this in Omaha. I wish we had more of these for our loved… ones. Thank you Northpoint for helping my family member get better and continue to help them strive in the world with aftercare. It is one day at a time. And with all the tools and support you have given them. I am forever grateful!

Words cannot describe how incredible Northpoint is. This isn’t a place you walk into on the greatest day of your life but the community and support you receive is next level. You don’t feel alone. You don’t feel judged… - even if you are coming back after previous treatment. The counselors Joe, Joshua and Tammi are amazing. I learned so much from each of them and they changed my life. The nurses take incredible care of you in all aspects of your needs. The recovery techs, Kim, Randy, Tyler, Connor, Brenda, Ruth, Gustavo, Chris and I’m sure others I’m missing - were the kindest, most supportive people. Having someone to talk to, listen, and cheer you on was amazing. Each one of these people deserves a raise. Linnette the clinical director goes above and beyond to ensure you are successful if you want to be and helps give you the tools you need to move forward. I missed so much in this review but Northpoint changed my life and I’m so thankful I found it.

I genuinely cannot say enough good things about Northpoint. Going to rehab was one of the scariest decisions I’ve ever made, but it ended up being one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself. The staff made an… incredibly difficult time feel safe, manageable, and even enjoyable. I learned so much about myself, addiction, recovery, and what I want my life to look like moving forward. I also met some truly incredible people who made a lasting impact on me. There were plenty of laughs mixed in with the hard moments, and I left with friendships and memories I’ll never forget. What meant the most to me was that I didn’t leave feeling like the same person who walked through the doors. I left feeling hopeful, clear-headed, proud of myself, and genuinely excited about my life again. If you’re scared to go, go anyway. Give yourself the chance. Northpoint gave me a safe place to get sober, get my head clear, and start finding myself again. I will always be grateful for my time there and for the people who were part of it. Thank you, Northpoint!

So I went in for detox only. Did NOT want to be there at all. First 2 days were rough due to my addiction, then I started to feel better day by day. By day 4 I had this gut feeling I needed more than just the 7 day… detox. I decided to complete the program. I did 25 days total and learned SOO much. From the everyday staff who help with all the small things to the administrators it was an amazing experience. The councilors are so easy to talk to, they challenge you to dig deeper into your feelings. The nurses are amazing. Every medication I needed or had questions about were either answered right then or within like 18 hours. The food.....oh man the food was awesome. First time in months I actually ate 3 square meals a day. If your struggling with alcohol or drug addiction I can't recommend Northpoint more than what I do. I'd love to say I can't wait to go back but let's maybe keep on the right path. But it's good to know they are always there if needed. Thank you Northpoint.

My experience was life changing. The staff were kind, gentle and warm. They all were understanding of what I was going through from detox to graduating. The counselors were knowledgeable and explained different skills… that I could understand and use in my daily life now. The nursing staff worked with me finding the right medications for my anxiety. I felt that I could go to any of the staff and ask questions about anything. The food was mostly good but they offer several different options, I never went to bed hungry. If you or someone you know needs help, I would highly recommend NorthPoint.

A family member completed a 30-day program here. We paid all fees in advance, as agreed. I can confirm he attended and completed the program. What I cannot confirm is anything about the bills that arrived afterward:… over $2,500 in charges for tests. I do not know when these tests were performed, what they were, who ordered them, whether they were medically necessary, or whether consent was obtained. My family member cannot account for them either. I have been given no documentation of any kind establishing that these tests took place. We have called NorthPointe multiple times asking for an itemized bill and the signed consent forms. No one has returned a single call. That is my complaint. I am not able to verify what we are being billed for, and the facility will not tell us. A patient in recovery received a $2,500 bill for services no one will explain or document. Because we cannot get answers directly, I am filing complaints with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, which licenses substance use treatment facilities in this state, and the Nebraska Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division. If NorthPointe provides an itemized statement with dates of service and the signed consent forms, I will update this review immediately and gladly. Anyone considering this facility: get in writing, before admission, exactly what the program fee covers and what may be billed separately.

There are moments in life when you realize you have two choices: change… or die. That was me to a T. Alcohol wasn’t just ruining my life, it was going to kill me. My marriage with my husband was falling apart, I was… losing myself, and I couldn’t imagine living another day the way I was living. Walking through the doors at Northpointe Recovery was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. I’ll admit it’s something that I’ve never forget. When I first arrived, I felt completely out of place. Looking around, I saw people from every imaginable background and every walk of life. As a professional, I convinced myself that somehow I didn’t belong there—that I was different, an exception to the rule if you will. I couldnt have been more wrong. Addiction doesn’t care what you do for a living, how much money you make, what your education is, or what your title is. It strips away every label until we’re all just people who desperately need hope. Northpoint gave me that hope. Every member of the staff treated me with dignity instead of judgment. They challenged me when I needed it, encouraged me when I couldn’t see a future, and reminded me that recovery wasn’t just possible—it was worth fighting for. One person who changed my life forever was my counselor, Krissy. Krissy wasn’t just someone who checked boxes or went through the motions. She believed in me when I struggled to believe in myself. She listened without condemning, challenged me with compassion, and helped me uncover the reasons behind my addiction instead of simply treating the symptoms. There are people who do a job and then there are people who answer a calling. Krissy is the latter, and I truly believe she was an important part of saving my life. Northpoint didn’t simply teach me how to stop drinking. They taught me how to start living again. But they also challenged me to admit to and apologize to a certain individual that I had wronged while in there. Had I not been challenged I probably wouldnt of apologized or faced up to it because quite honestly it’s not something I normally would do. But, today I have hope. I have purpose. I have relationships worth fighting for. Most importantly, I have a chance at a future that I honestly never thought I’d have. If you’re reading this because you’re scared, ashamed, convinced you’re beyond help, or wondering if treatment is really worth it, I promise you this: I walked through those same doors carrying those same fears. Walking into Northpoint was the best decision I have ever made. To every nurse, therapist, tech, counselor, and staff member who poured into me when I couldn’t pour into myself, thank you. You didn’t just help me get sober, you helped give me my life back. I will be forever grateful.

I came to Northpoint Omaha - right place, right time, just in time. My inpatient experience at NP was incredible. The perfect place to begin a sobriety journey. The staff, counselors, techs, nurses, etc. are top notch.… Northpoint is a loving, supportive and rock-solid community, and I am thankful for everyone there. Love my sobriety peers as well! I am continuing my recovery at Northpoint Outpatient in Omaha. The outpatient team is also terrific.
