The staff is caring, cooperative and helpful when any little thing is needed. Nursing staff is very good, if you ask questions they take the time to answer those questions. Groups are long but you can get a lot out of… them if you are willing to participate. Counselors are awesome and will do one on ones if you request them. It is only a 5-7 day program since it is a crisis center but they will help you find other programs if you want them. No, it’s not a Hilton but your not on vacation your there for a start in your drug, alcohol , mental health rehabilitation. Keep that in mind. My experience was very good but you have to be willing to put in some work.

Great staff, very knowledgeable and helpful, wonderful facility

This place is a joke! My wife and I left today, this isn’t a place to go and detox! They are so hurt for people the let my wife and I in the same facility which typically is taboo. They expect you to go to 10 “meetings”… a day while sick and detoxing. The beds are paper thin the food is garbage. I could only imagine how much they’re going to try and bill my insurance? with the garbage treatment we were given. Thanks for nothing! ZERO STARS IF THAT WAS AN OPTION.

Northwoods Health System was amazing! Norm breaks things down so anyone can understand it. Rose oozes with compassion. Unfortunately Sharon was wonderful. I lost my temper once while they were trying to make me go to… group while still in major withdrawals. She descalated the situation quickly and I had to go back and apologize.Sharin was helpful in every way.Lola made Intake smooth and felt nonjudgemental.She is such a sweet heart. Im 7mo clean and all began there. Forever grateful for the staff❤️ Remember when you see the negative reviews that these folks are going thru a very hard time.

They tell me when I’m at the shower. My ride will be here within five minutes so I rush to get out of shower, my anxiety went straight up and now I’m waiting an hour and a half later. I have been here a week and I am no… better off leaving and I was coming in…..

Staff is not trained for their position after telling them I need sober living I had to wait 4 days to even apply and now my 7th day is coming an there telling me about a homeless shelter in wheeling which blows my… mine. I came so I didn't relapse if I get put on the streets I'll be right back to using.

I had a great experience at Northwood, the staff is amazing all of them. The nurses are so helpful, I was in a crisis and everyone was so welcoming. I can't express how awesome this place is and I have been to many… facilities none like this one. I highly recommend. Thank you so much for all your love. Jamie Edwards

Highly recommend for anyone who may need help getting clean. Staff are amazing, understanding. Thank you everyone that helped me,appreciate y'all. NOT HAPPY WITH THE VAN SERVICES !!!!!!

I hated it they don't explain meds and don't explain anything to u They don't do individual therapy They just don't care

I came for the first time for detox and mental illness the staff is amazing they have been nothing but the best the groups are fun I met amazing people in group since I've been here.i would like to give a big thank you… to austin,sharon,lola,anthony,norm ,rose,staci and everyone else if it wasn't for you guys I wouldn't be making my next journey to rehab you guys saved my life.i recommend anyone that needs help please go they will make sure your taking care of.

I would like to start off by saying that all the staff did everything to help my experience here be the best possible the staff is amazing they do the cooking the cleaning they do everything they can to help you they… wash your clothes they care about your situations Norman is an amazing group leader I find his groups to be so interesting Lola's amazing Sam's amazing all the nursing staff is beyond amazing I literally recommend this place for anybody in need they don't judge nobody no matter what they care about everybody that comes through the door there is literally not one staff member here that isn't important and that isn't beyond generous

I want to thank everyone at Northwood crisis in weirton. It is my first experience in this type of setting and needing help but I was truly grateful for everything they have done. From the hospitality and caring… kindness to the knowledge they gave me. The staff were all absolutely amazing. Anyone in need of a crisis unit for mental health or substance abuse I would highly recommend coming here. They genuinely care and it shows. Thank you to everyone that works there. Know you are all truly helping and I am beyond grateful to meet you all.

Norm really helps with his lectures.i couldn't get over how simple he made things.. addiction is a serious thing but mental health is the root and he brings

did not receive adequate services by any means. this is probably a good place for some, it seems good for rehabilitation and the staff seems to be better for men. in my experience I did not get the medical care I… needed. I suffered the whole time I was there with no treatment for the condition which I was there for. no proper aftercare and was verbally abused during my stay

This place is ridiculous they never answer the phone when you try to call for Important stuff and you get punished for them not doing their jobs if you miss a appointment! I'd love to get ahold of the actual people that… run this place.

I was there 3 days, I got there no staff member told me anything, the only reason I figured out when I was supposed to get up eat show up to group is because another patient told me. I was not told I needed to get over… the counter medications approved by the NP till after I’d met with her, so I was not aloud to take my allergy meds (Zyrtec) or my vitamin D or Midol for my period cramps. All I was given for my crams was 2 ibuprofen, which did nothing for my cramps or the nausea or other period symptoms. I spent all day on bed because they wouldn’t give me my allergy meds, or Midol for period symptoms. The nurses wouldn’t let me explain what was going on, they continually would interrupt me and cut me off and not let me explain why I was frustrated and what my needs were. They eventually tried to give me something for my allergies which was Claritain which I’m allergic too. Which I told them multiple times. If I hadn’t looked at the cup with my meds in it I would’ve taken a medication I was Allergic too, because I looked at it and the pill was rounded not squared the way my Zyrtecs was, I pointed out it was Claritain and they were like yea that’s Claritain, I then got very upset to the point of yelling because they almost gave me a medication I’m severely allergic too. This place has 0 structure. If you have anxiety I don’t recommend going. My anxiety was so bad I was shaking all day and night and not sleeping. If I had to rank this place out of 10 I’d give them a 0/10. This was ridiculous.

Northwood saved my life!!Everyone therecares so much !I recommend Northwood to anyone in need of help.

They helped me threw a depression state I was in... Everyone was kind and very supporting there.. The main thing is, NO ONE JUDGES YOU...

There operation is great however, I don't believe they understand the importance of the input and sharing of information to both parties. Rehab is the most important event a person must encounter of life..... after… hours of events are a great part of rehab........ The partner of the individual going through rehab needs info and training on dealing with the greatest issue an person can deal with.......it takes a team to keep the person going through rehab engaged.

Northwood Brooke is the absolute best place to start your new life sober! I was terrified when I was discharged from Reynolds memorial hospital and the staff went above and beyond. Even with my anger issues they still… made me feel comfortable and loved. Every problem an addict can have they will try and help you find a solution. During my time there I decided not to get on suboxone and instead I did the vivitrol shot. Best decision of my life so far. I can still call them and get advice and do check in’s. I miss them deeply and I can say I love every staff member with my whole heart! Best place to go by far in WV!

i enjoyed my stay here at the northwood crisis unit the staff was very nice and respectful and I would highly recommend people to go here if they are looking forwards to getting off drugs or alcohol because the staff is… amazing i loved it and want to say thanks for the help yall gave me
