Oakwood Springs – Oklahoma City Detox and Rehab Services
Oakwood Springs – Oklahoma City offers detox, residential treatment, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient. Supervised withdrawal comes first, with the greatest danger in the opening seventy-two hours. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. Establishing what happens after the program ends is worth doing early.
Mental health and substance use are handled together rather than in sequence. Medication-assisted treatment combines approved medication with counseling and clinical review. Cost, travel and waiting time are all worth weighing together. Ask whether family can be involved and at what stage.

Oakwood Springs – Oklahoma City Reviews and Ratings
A licensing record says what Oakwood Springs is permitted to do. Reviews from patients and their families say what treatment in Oklahoma City was like, and those accounts are collected in this section.
Tj and Ronnie were great.
I'm posting a one-star review because anytime my family member tried to call me I could barely hear them. The connection that this place has is horrible. My family member would try to give me information so that I could… have it but was unsuccessful because of a bad connection. Then when I called back gave the patient's name and my name all they would tell me is that they cannot confirm or deny if that patient even exist. Despite that my family member has signed a form allowing them to talk to me. They tell me I need a patient ID number which I can't get because the family member has to be the one to give it to me. But I can't get it from my family member because the phone connection barely works. I understand protecting a patient's privacy but this is absolutely ridiculous. Especially when you allow patients to make phone calls and don't even have a proper connection for your patience.
I voluntarily went to this hospital seeking help. I left with more trauma than I went in with and significantly less trust in mental healthcare. My experience included: I had voluntarily used this facility twice before… without being EOD’d. This time, I voluntarily sought help and was placed on an involuntary hold. I repeatedly asked why I was being held, and no one could tell me until my last day. I was then told it was because I was allegedly suicidal and homicidal. I dispute both claims, and another person was present during the conversation and can corroborate what I actually said. I received no one-on-one therapy and no meaningful help with the medication problems I came in for. Staff repeatedly referred to patients as “inmates.” We were digitally tracked, and I was never given what I considered meaningful informed consent or an adequate explanation. I have celiac disease and complained daily about needing safe food. I did not receive appropriate celiac-friendly meals until my last day. Nurses told me that patients with private insurance may be kept longer, which seriously concerned me. At discharge, I was given about 30 days of medication but no psychiatrist or therapist was established for follow-up, and the hospital will not continue refilling the medications. Before this experience, I was willing to voluntarily seek psychiatric help. Now I cannot imagine willingly putting myself in that position again. From my perspective, the entire system felt like a trap: get you in, get your insurance money, discharge you without adequate continuity of care, and leave you vulnerable to ending up right back there. I went in looking for help and left with more trauma than I arrived with.
I meet some of the sweetest staff and nurses here and then I met a few bitter ones. I was not expecting to come here since I live all the way in Tulsa. I was just thrown in a very unfortunate situation by a facility in… Tulsa. I met some really cool people here . I had my ups and downs here, but they do their job. they are honest and some staff really are sweet. I came here with no clothes, confused and not even knowing I was going to be all the way here in OKC for a week at this facility. TJ helped me out with clothing and made sure that I was OK. He didn’t have to do that, but he did it out of the kindness of his heart. TJ will look out for you, Lee is pretty cool & A few other one. But TJ will look out for you!! I didn’t like that one guy Courtney/courdnee ( I believe he works night shift) & his buddy Ryan they were both kind of smart asses and very passive aggressive and they talk to people like they are stupid. Courtney also said something slick when he walked out of my room after trying to check me in on the tablet. He threatened to turn the lights on at night trying to be rude when he clearly saw my tracker on my leg. Ryan had an attitude problem and he was very condescending and kind of rude just like his buddy courdnee or however, you spell his name. Ryan overheard me talking about how I felt like the Courtney guy was rude to me. He came up to me and started defending him and told me I need to stop letting little stuff get to me. I’m almost 30 years old. That is so obvious I didn’t need his advice. He invalidated my experience . That one black lady Taleisha/tyeesha whatever her name is, she wears glasses and has locs invalidated all of my complaints and uncomfortability as well when I was trying to express to her the distress I was in. She just gave really nonchalant with a weird attitude . Some of them are in the wrong field. Ori was also really strange and had a attitude problem. She woke me up at 10 PM to ask if I had a bowel movement after I had just barely fell asleep and I was barely sleeping in there. I feel like that was unnecessary . The people in the very front messed up on my name 10 times and they kept waking me up in the middle of the night to ask me my name/birthday almost every other night. That one activity coordinator I forgot her name, but she pissed me off as well and made me seem like I was a problem in group. I will never come back here, but only a few people made this experience positive for me. I love Beverly though. She was like my second mom. I will never be coming back here, but I do appreciate the help because I did need it at the time even if it was forced and manipulated.
My son went here via uber finally after much discussion with the billing as to coverage. When he finally went after multiple attempts and several failed overdoses he was told he “qualified “ for outpatient therapy. To… go home and come back. I’m shocked at the facility and the whole system but will be filing the appropriate paperwork. Unless you are private pay or have great insurance you are not a priority at oakwood springs. Again. The worst outcome.
The food is awful. They are rude! They are not knowledgeable about meds and a safe detox. The bhts act fake and remind you. The nurses are grumpy and if u ask them for something they act like your bothering them . Not a… good place. I've been to way better!
Tj is a good dude really cares for a person and really looked out ...
TJ and Jeff were the best staff there! They were sweet, helpful and welcoming. Oakwood springs wouldn’t have been a great experience without them!

I attended oak wood springs and was greeted with great staff from the beginning to the they always made sure I was comfortable and any issues that arise the were quick to handle the situation I would recommend this… place to anyone that needs it!
TJ was incredibly helpful during my stay at oakwood springs for alcohol detox. His support didn’t end when I was released, and he is still helping me in my recovery process. Throughout my stay, I witnessed his kindness… and compassion with multiple other patients. He is knowledgeable and truly wants to help those who want to get better. He’s the man! Very thankful for his support.
I was inpatient here until last Friday, August 14th! Jalissa(therapist), Megan(tech) and Darius(tech) were all very kind and patient! When I went in, I was in utter turmoil mentally and thanks to them and the rest of… the staff there, I was able to recover and stabilize quickly. The cafeteria even honored my dietary preferences and made adjustments due to my inability to eat pork! I am so grateful for everyone there and my time there and look forward to starting the Partial Hospitalization Program this coming Monday, August 23rd. If you go there and meet Darius, Megan and Jalissa, say hello to them for me!

Tj and Ronnie were very professional in there help with my being here.
This is a great place when you need them! Most of the staff are very welcoming and caring Tj and Jess are the best!!
TJ, Lee, Jess, Josh were awesome. Really helped me during time of need. I appreciate them very much. Some nurses not so much. Most nurses took their sweet time leading to people having seizures. Not the best experience… with that but tech really wanted to genuinely help. I appreciate those who helped me.
