Free and you get your money’s worth totally disorganized
Helped me tremendously just have to be open and honest and give it a fair shot.
The worst experience of my life with mental health I’ve had so much help and better places, but this place is terrible. I don’t know what they’re doing.
This place is terrible. I had to use it because I ran out of money. I’ve had help before that was very beneficial. Each session would be better but here at this clinic it was like I kept getting worse and all the… therapist was doing was triggering me once I was triggered and got upset that she would start writing stuff almost as if she was some kind of Detective trying to instigate and push peoples buttons just so she can feel better about herself terrible place don’t use it
Look imma tell it to you straight: This is a great mental health clinic, it's an amazing resource for the less fortunate and uninsured. But be warned, it functions via interns, which doesn't mean they don't have the… necessary expertise, but it does mean we are not dealing with seasoned professionals with decades of work experience under their belt. That being said, give them grace! There is currently only 1 psychiatrist and thus, she is very busy and hard to get a hold of so just be as patient as you can.
i was a little nervous about going here after seeing the really low reviews on here but as i looked through them i noticed that the vast majority of the complaints were just scheduling related after going to a couple… appointments myself, i have found that while it can take a while to get an appointment and the communication with the office isn't the best, the actual service provided has been really good so far my apprehension initially increased when i realized that the first appointment was being held at a church, but the intern who was doing the intake appointment was really nice and respectful about pronouns i had a medication management appointment via telehealth about a month later and the doctor i spoke with (patricia burgunder) was very kind and empathetic she prescribed me multiple medications and let me know that i wouldn't have to pay for them, which is huge for me as someone with no insurance, no income, and an inability to swallow pills (the liquid version of medication is usually incredibly expensive) so this place genuinely feels like a lifeline for me i have only had the 2 appointments so far but as of right now i would highly recommend them!
I had an appointment for 11am today(1-26-26). I called and they rescheduled me for 2pm and confirmed it by text. My cat was not breathing right and I rushed him to the vet knowing I can make the 2pm appointment that was… confirmed. But I got a voicemail from Heather(or beth) while I was at the vet saying they don't reschedule for the same day and it'd be better if I just go to the case worker before coming back, like she didn't want me to come back. I came there because I need help. And you just toss me to the side? Heather should not be able to graduate. She only cares about herself. She only asks how you feel and how you feel about it. She doesn't have any answers or actual help for anything. I won't be back there for Heather or any other "therapist". Seems like you're just a bunch of people that don't know what they're doing. Messing with my health is NOT ok. My cat is in the emergency room right now And I rescheduled with heather. They rescheduled me for 2pm and I got a confirmation text. So I took my cat to the vet. Shame on you for lying and punishing me for my cat being on his death bed. Update. My cat died that night.. thanks for making a tragic day that much more traumatizing. I hope I never see Heather again. Ps: you said UH and UM 17 times in that one voicemail.. maybe you need some professional therapy to help being so unsure and confused all the time..
free for uninsured folks, that's the one upside. i've been waiting two months for a psych appointment, which was incorrectly scheduled and rescheduled a total of four times. i get that this is an intern based, but it is… unacceptable to treat patients with this lack of regard. therapy is the only thing worthwhile here, and they shuffle staff quarterly so even that is short term.
I am going through therapy now with this company. I have an open DCF case. Which is has been causes Alot of conflict in my life currently. I have had 3 different therapists. They are constantly trying to implement… negative reviews and paper trail of Me. I am coming for Help. N they are apart of the system trying to tear My Life apart. Which they want me to have a mental breakdown. But I Am too Strong to give This System Power.
This has to be one of the worst mental health clinics I've ever dealt with. I first contacted them 3 months ago and I still haven't received any appointment or treatment. They don't even communicate with you about your… case. Last I heard from them was about 6 weeks ago when they said they were assigning me to an intern.
Have had a very positive experience here so far with the therapists and the doctors. Would definitely recommend them!
Very helpful and professional.
I've been going to this clinic for years, since 2013. A long time. Their were A LOT of issues with schedueling in the past, but it has gotten much better. The therapy isn't great as they are students and you get jumped… to a new therapist every few months, but it's someone to vent to and that will listen without judgement. Remember, they are young and still in school and learning from this experience. you won't get specialized therapy here as they are a free clinic. Patricia Burgunder is the best doctor I have ever had... And I have several doctors. 😂 She is patient, kind, and empathetic. She is who you will get your medication from. Overall, the clnic has improved a lot, but you have to be diligent with calling to get ahold of someone and doing any paperwork. Don't only leave messages and wait on a return call. Keep calling until you get ahold of someone! This clinic has saved my life and I'm glad it's available for those without insurance otherwise I don't know what I would do.
My therapist listens to me and calming Very happy
Reading through the comments, wish they would have someone replying.. Anyways, personally I've had some hiccups, with rescheduling and communicating but they've turned it around. They are getting better from reading the… comments. Not sure what the case is per individual but Sara and Patty have been supportive.
Went through the whole process, they set up an appointment with someone that was leaving. They "rescheduled" Me. No link, no confirmation and no phone call. I've been trying to get through all week, no returned… voicemails and always straight to voice-mail. Never a human answering or calling back. I guess I was "accidentally" lost.
If it was possible to give them zero stars I would! I was treated like a research project, when I called for help they couldn't and didn't call back. They missed or was late to every appt and after all that they turned… me away.
Guys, idk how this Clinic is only 1 star. I'm going to describe my experience below - I realize this may not be the experience for others: After losing healthcare and battling unemployment I was at my wits end. I was… referred here from another clinic and I feel very blessed to have found it. Yes, it took like 3 months to even get the initial meeting. They had my wrong phone number from the other clinic. I had to call a couple times to confirm if I was getting an appointment. I'm pretty sure they forgot about me during intake lol. Then the appointment was a month and a half out. Sometimes the phone lines can be unreliable but they do try their best. My complaints end there. From my initial appointment, I had my another diagnostic the following week and treatment continued from there. Treatment that I hadn't had access to in nearly a decade. Not only was the Doctor I met, Patricia Burgunder, understanding - but she is an expert and professional. She has helped me with so many things and in a careful/measured/safe way. I feel in extremely good hands and I finally have hope for my well-being and access to the medication I need. Things are finally looking up. Thank you, Patricia.
Completely unprofessional in all aspects of therapy. Worst. Clinic. Ever. With help like this, who needs mental illness? (Shakes Magic 8 Ball) "Outlook not so good."
I have tried on 3 separate occasions to obtain care for a family member. I originally called on approximately 4/16 and completed an intake interview with my family member present. We were told that someone would review… the information and call us back within 24 hours. No one ever called back. I called again on 5/11 and went through the entire process a second time. Was told I’d receive a call by 2:00pm on 5/12. On 5/12 when I hadn’t heard anything by 4pm I called a third time and was told that there was no evidence of any of my previous calls. I conducted a THIRD intake interview, expressed my concern with the process and was promised a call by the next day. Here we are, 7 days later and yet AGAIN, no call back. I have wasted a MONTH that could have been spent actually working with someone who was able to assist us. This office is disorganized to the point of negligence. It may be for the best that no one called back; if this is the standard of care, he’ll be better off without it. Run far away from this place.
Went there for help and asked, cried and begged for someone to just listen to me. I refused to get medicated and they told me I can't go there unless I take there drugs. It's nothing but a pill mill and I'm going to… report them.
