I called regarding a referral for therapy services for my father and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The representative I spoke with, Kelly, let me know they weren't able to help - but the way that message… was delivered came across as abrupt and lacking the empathy I'd expect in a medical setting. From the start of the call, there was little warmth or patience, which made an already difficult situation harder. Also, she failed to put her phone on mute, allowing me to hear her discuss with her coworker. I'd respectfully encourage management to review how front-line staff handle these conversations, particularly proper language and tone over the phone. A bit more compassion instead of "we don't treat that here" would go a long way for families who are often reaching out during a stressful time.

I am writing this on my wife’s behalf since she is asleep. I would give the experience a 3 because Judy always makes my wife smile when she calls. She is always on top of her phone calls and knows how to make clients… feel comfortable with the warmth she brings. She truly makes it feel like she cares. My wife also had Jerry for substance counseling. Unfortunately, my wife had bad experiences with him because he has a hard time hearing, and sometimes he twisted her words on paperwork. He also made her feel uncomfortable because he made her seem like a bad person, and when she tried to explain herself, he would make her repeat everything. I understand he is elderly, but I honestly think he may need to retire from this type of work. I know my wife well, and when her anxiety gets bad, she fidgets, shakes, and peels at her skin. When I saw her fingers on May 5th, I could tell she was very uncomfortable with him. She also had another older lady for mental health services. My wife liked her, but she was sometimes confused about whether she was doing therapy. Right now, my wife is doing telehealth because our truck is in another state, and we are struggling financially to get it back. My wife also hates that we currently live with her parents, especially because we are married and young, but our credit is messed up.

Saw a therapist at Sierra Counseling and Neurotherapy in Carson City for obsessive suicidal ideation. She wanted me to make art, music and stories about the intrusive suicidal thoughts. I told her I was not comfortable… with that. That I needed her help focusing on healthier things. Instead, she kept pushing those ideas appointment after appointment and told me i needed to work on willingness. I told her about my battle with self harming and fear of another suicide attempt. Her response was, “What’s the worst that could happen?” She had me put my hand over my heart. Then she and put her hands on my hand and my back. I told her I was not comfortable with her touching me, that I have PTSD that gets triggered by touch. She did respect that, but later when I explained that I was really uncomfortable with her style of therapy and needed to leave she offered me a hug.

The entire staff had been nothing but understanding and considerate to myself, and the rest of my loved ones that come here as well. I am so grateful for this office and would rate higher if I could. Keep up the amazing… work💚

Friendly, knowledgeable, and understanding. I only wish they were closer and offered more treatment options vs just diagnosis. Clean and spacious office. Answered all my questions. Very professional and wonderful… receptionist.

This place recently had a huge turn over in staff and software. They did not manage to keep track of patients between the switch and the new staff is pretty incompetent compared to the great staff they had there.

I’d been looking for a while for a place that would offer testing specific to ADD. I didn’t realize they also offer therapy in conjunction with receiving your test results which I think is GREAT! I have had no issues… with the staff or professionals in this practice, all have been very prompt and professional in contacting if there is a scheduling hiccup. I definitely recommend connecting with Sierra Counseling and Neurotherapy for testing and subsequent counseling if you’re in the Carson City area. I’m very glad to have found them.

The staff is wonderful, though 2022 has brought many staffing fluctuations & challenges, looks as though they are trending positively. I can't say enough about Mrs. Perrine and Mr. Cinani who have been excellent… strategic alliance partners in our families healthcare. Neurotherapy has been a wonderful tool. Thank y'all.

Traumatic. When called out on it there was no apologies just excuses and blame. Not very professional.

I have been seeing Dr. Jenkins for years now and he has helped guide me to find the light in my life, He's helped me avoid making some huge mistakes and I can never thank him enough for that. I have various mental… health issues and many of them were made better with Neurotherapy with Jerry. Very caring staff all of them!

Even if you enjoy your counselor, trying to schedule an appointment, make a payment, make changes to your personal information or have any communication with the office staff is next to impossible. I’ve been trying to… pay them for the last month and I cannot get ahold of anyone.

The receptionist is rude as hell an the shrink Josee is very unprofessional! Please for your sake seek help elsewhere!
