The worst establishment in fort Wayne I pray this place gets shut down soon
Difficult or near impossible to to get a message to the Dr. or to get a timely call back even when in crisis. When you walk in you can tell Parkview does not care about mental health just by looking at the waiting room.… Not attractive or soothing. Stains on carpet. Furniture all against the walls with big open hollow center. No pictures or plants
Kristin (nurse) was very helpful with me over the phone while trying to figure out med issues.
It is clear that Parkview is not care all too much about mental health This is the fourth time they've let me go without my medication over the weekend even though I put it in on a timely manner and the simple fact of… the matter is my psychiatrist let that place for a reason they're not doing what they're supposed to be doing and I'm about to leave and go someplace else. This place the joke find another place that your insurance will let you go for a while that's the only place my insurance would take and that's the reason why I was stuck there. They've moved appointments around on me and give me a days notice and expect me to keep up with them and then won't refill my medication because I didn't keep the appointment that they forced me to take that I never scheduled with them.
DBT IOP leaders do not care about you at Park center!! Actually they forget about you! The IOP leader said she would "check on me" through My chart "that night", due to how suicidal I was, the last day I was there, and… the fact that I was leaving early because I was so triggered, due to others outbursts that was allowed and highly inappropriate and VERY triggering. Well, I waited all week that week & She NEVER checked on me, period!! I told them how I was treated horribly in area 4 and left early due to bullying by Martha, and they still showed so much lack of concern! When I did show up to "DBT IOP" no some showed up for me. These "treatments" are not existent and so is HELP at Park center. They took away walk in Wednesdays and all safe options for people to get real help. It's sad how you let us just fall right through the cracks!!
I only give this place 2 stars because I like my psychiatrist and the front desk people are much better than it was. I hate going to this place. It is the most depressing medical office I've ever been to. You walk in to… a large waiting area with about 10 chairs all spread out. The chairs are literally torn up and very old. The walls are sterile white throughout the whole eerily empty office no warm welcome or pictures. So depressing it makes my mood much worse. Please parkview spend some money over here. Why is mental health being neglected?
I feel disrespected by their staff after going here for a few years. Don't really want to go here ever again. Dr. K is a nice guy, though.
For your own sake, please avoid Karen Lothamer. She's very dismissive and interruptive when you're discussing your concerns to her! Coming from someone who has severe ideations, she's always beating around the bush… instead of working on the issues directly. I've only seen her twice but I can tell this is not going to work out.
Came in for suicidal ideation and depression wasent helpful. I'd rather not seek help than come here.
It actually is bad the amount of people there were rude to me and my best friend was downright awful. I would not recommend going to this place.
dr oyer is incredible
They won't help you. They don't care about you.
Dr. K is awesome. He is a great guy who I feel comfortable talking about my issues with no judgement. He makes me feel like a normal person instead of looking down on me.
I had an appointment at 7 am and was told to be at the place at 6:45 and they didn’t open until 7:10! They acted like I was a burden to them. Do not come here if you want actual help.
Don't go here if you want to be able to make appointments or refill your prescriptions - they don't answer the phones and they don't call you back. My friend was prescribed meds that really helped her and then proceeded… to become suicidal again after they would not answer the phone or return her calls so she could get her prescriptions renewed or even make a follow-up appointment. My husband also went here, and he's been rationing the meds that let him wake up because despite three months of phone calls (which are never answered or returned) they can't or won't send one fax. This organization is unprofessional and obviously don't care about any of the patients who rely on them.
Not happy with my care under Sherri Albertson.
Very caring people. Not a negative thing to say. they worked with me under tough Covid 19 conditions. Listened to my story,.....actually cared!
I've been calling the office for 4 days now and cannot get an answer. The phone rings and rings and then finally hangs up. I dont understand how people are supposed to get help if they can't reach anyone.
Seeing the therapist was okay, but thankfully the therapist scheduled me to see a nurse practitioner and I’m beyond blessed she did. Melody was by far one of the best people I’ve talked to about my disorders and I felt… like I finally get the proper help I’ve been searching so long for. If you go, ask for melody!
The service is okay. Takes a long time before you get back to your day but I suppose it’s not their fault.
I went after having severe depression for a few months that escalated to suicidal ideation. The first lady that helped me was a sweetheart and was very helpful, but the clinician that came after her was less than… desired. She didnt seem to know what she was talking about and just read very vague questions off a packet of pages. When I answered questions not to her satisfaction she would either laugh, condescend, or berate me until I gave her something that made her happy. Then after describing my ideations and answering her barrage of questioning she left for a long while and came back and said that it was agreed my situation wasnt severe enough to warrant even an er visit to wait for a bed in a facility and sent me home with a piece of paper stating a "plan" aka how to notice I'm having thoughts and how to avoid them and set me an appointment for a psych eval four days later. I'm glad I'm getting help, but I needed more than what they gave me. I'm just generally upset I wasnt helped more than just shoved out and given an appointment for days later after describing a detailed plan of suicide.
I recently came to Park center seeking help..they gave me an assessment and asked basic questions they didn't really go into any deep detail to understand my situation.. these days they are very quick to label you a… drug addict or a drug seeking. They turn me away with zero help! If you have serious issues that require intelligent and understanding people..do not go here.
I already wasnt liking this place when I walked in, but I was hoping for the best because I NEED treatment. Staff at front desk was rude and did not explain anything but was more concerned with their personal… conversations. Took over an hour to be seen. The psychiatrist I saw (mindy I think her name was), made it hard for me to answer questions honestly (answering questions honestly is very important especially concerning mental health) because anything i tried to say she just looked at me like i was crazy or wasting her time. I waited all that time for a 10 min conversation about what medications I'm on and what I was previously diagnosed with. I was then asked if this was urgent or if it could wait 5 weeks?? Was then scheduled 2 more appointments in 2 different locations. Nothing was explained well and I left feeling extremely frustrated, upset, anxious and feeling hopeless which I'm pretty sure is the opposite of what I should be feeling when leaving a mental health facility. I'll follow through with my appointments hoping for the best, but so far I feel embarrassed for parkview adding them as an affiliate.
